  1. Ohhhh, that "makeup forever hd" seems perfect, exactly what I was looking for! I am such a sucker that I bought it as soon as I read the description. And thanks, Rach! I get the occasional blemishes but all in all, I guess my skin is ok, other then this stupid shine!
  2. Oh, I am sorry, Kelly. How come the sudden change though? Did something change in the contract to require an additional 5% down?
  3. Have you checked out this thread? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1894
  4. Hmmm, I've actually never had a facial. My husband owns a salon though, and always tells me to make an appt. I guess I have to make it a priority. I'll check back in here with what I purchase and of course give updates with what I think about the products...
  5. What about if I don't really wear makeup? I have never worn foundation or anything so really don't like having things on my face. It makes me feel dirty. I was really hoping for some miracle cure. Darn. I am totally buying lemons when I go shopping tonight and then I will decide between the mac blotter and the medi-something mentioned earlier. I am only allowing myself to buy ONE thing for now cuz I have so many that I don't like... Thanks for the input girlies!
  6. I am looking into that medi-matte one... I never heard that about lemons! I will def try that since it's cheap!
  7. I found a few references to "shiny face" in some threads, but nothing specifically for that. My face is shiny ALL the time. It's not even that it's that oily looking, but it's just shiny. Even if I just wash it there is a gleam to it. I absolutely hate about 95% of all pictures I am in b/c my face is always shiny. My friends think I am crazy cuz I stress about it all the time. Everytime I use the bathroom when I am out, I use toilet paper to dab the shine away and I put powder on. But within a few minutes, the powder is gone and I am shiny again! I usually buy cheap CVS powder, so am wondering if there is some miracle powder or something I can buy. Any suggestions?
  8. Yeah, I think the BEPs seem inspired by MJ, so I don't think it's bandwagon-jumping either. But I mean, isn't everyone that grew up in the generation ESPECIALLY those in music, inspired by MJ? (I am not talking feelings about his personal life, but the effect he had on the music industry absolutely can NOT be denied.)
  9. I've actually never been to a wedding where there was a dollar dance. At least not that I know of anyway! Perhaps it's another of those regional things...
  10. Get used to it now! Man, it's all people care about! It's like "Mind your business, for real!"
  11. I had no idea Ellen was teh guest judge next week! I love her! I am also not surprised by the eliminations, but I am SUPER surprised to hear that Melissa and Ade were in the bottom three and Evan wasn't.
  12. Kathy, you should work for SYTYCD or something. They need someone to do that recaps, right? Cuz you are always spot on! I think that it should be Randi and Evan or Kupono as well. Kupono is such a hottie, but he's SO feminine. My fave girl for her techinical skills is Melissa. But there is something about Jeanette that I really like. She's just so cute. So those are my hopes for the winners, although I think that Melissa is better then Jeanette. My fave boy now is probably Ade. Sometimes I really like Brandon and sometimes he bugs me. Jason is a good dancer, but his face reminds me of a video game for some reason. He has a weird mouth. And sorry, but I AM superficial like that! I hope Kayla doesn't win. She is a great dancer, but she's so fucking BLAH!

  14. Have you tried searching the forum? Please do not create threads for the sake of creating threads. I just did a search and the dollar dance was mentioned in 32 threads and was in the title of one thread. I am closing this thread and merging it with the other - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t28799 Please utilize the search function as we don't need multiple threads discussing the same topics b/c it bogs down the forum and make it hard for future brides to research when the information is among so many different threads.
  15. I am confused on what you are asking. You say that you read the "what would you change" thread and about half the people said they wished they hired a dj, and the other half wished they had saved the money for a dj and used their ipod. So I am not sure what you are expecting from this thread other then the same thing, half and half.... Also, have you searched the forum and read all the threads about this topic? It seems that it has been discussed at length. I am closing this thread now.
  16. The ability to download used to be based on point count, but was recently changed to post count, that is why you might see people that have downloaded with less then the required 150 posts. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t44624 Please do not request anyone donate points to you. It is against forum policy and is a bannable offense. Also since the rule changed in June, points won't help you download attachments. This rule was implemented to encourage participation in the forum, so just become active and before you know it, you will be at 150 posts. 17. I made no effort to hide my tattoo for my wedding and find it odd that people with tattoos WANT to cover them. If you are ashamed, why did you get it in the first place? At least that is how I feel about it. They are a part of me now as much as any beauty mark I was born with, so I wouldn't even consider covering them. Right now I only have one that would actually show but the thing is, I'm proud of my tattoos. It's not something I want to hide or cover up. Maybe its just the stigma of tattoos but I don't think it is "inappropriate" to show your tattoo at a wedding. Just my opinion.
  18. Happy belated, Abs! (I seem to always miss these threads until it's past!)
  19. Oh cool! WIll check this out for sure.
  20. I got mine pierced when I was about 20, so about 10 years now. Jeez. But I love it and can't imagine that I would ever take it out. I occasionally remove it for a few weeks at a time, but I just kinda force it back in and it's fine. (Just did that this morning actually!) My piercing experience wasn't a good one. I was on vacation in FL and decided to get it done, so went to this random place. They told me my nostril was too wide and that a ring was the only way to do it. I told them I didn't want a ring, I wanted a stud and so they tried to pierce it with the studs that have a corkscrew post. The initial piercing was fine with the big long needle, that didn't hurt to bad at all. If I remember right, I kinda wanted to sneeze, but the pain wasn't too bad. The bad part was when they tried to follow the needle thru with the corkscrew stud. I passed out about 4 times b/c he was screwing it INTO my nostril skin instead of my nose opening. I eventually told him to give me my money back. So my friends and I went to the mall and bought an ear piercing kit (ya know the earrings with the realllllly pointy studs?), and my friend re-pierced it for me back at our room. It wasn't pleasant, but I wouldn't change it and I have never regretted it. I have had quite a few piercings, and I would say the initial piercing (not the drama that followed for me) was minimal. The recovery was fine, even WITH my drama. When I take mine out, the hole shrinks down within a few days to be barely visible. So I think that if you want this and have wanted it for a while, go ahead and do it! Who cares if you get tired of it and remove it in a few months/years!
  21. Congrats, Auntie! Be sure to update with pics and one of the mods will update the title for you.
