  1. Please search before creating a new thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...n-links-50592/
  2. I am closing this thread and merging with the original since this is repetitive.
  3. You should check out the link in my siggy to learn how to post photos. I don't even open links when people don't bother to post a photo since it's super easy to do. Here's a quick summary: open a Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket account upload photo past [img........IMG] code here voila!
  4. Check out the link in my (or any mod's) siggy for helpful hints on how to navigate the forum. I'm merging this thread with the already existing threads for testing photos.
  5. I'm tired. And I guess that's true about 90% of the time, so I'm fine with that! But you're right, Ann, it's no fun.
  6. Tammy, I didn't know that happened to you too! Jeez, I thought it was a fairly newer occurance.
  7. I meant to say, usually the noobs are buying not selling. I'm going to edit my post now...
  8. If it was me, I'd take the hit. But if I was him, I would've offered to pay for it. Can't you return it?
  9. Check out the other thread for more info, but basically it really isn't something that will help since brides generally only sell things once or twice. Also, it's usually the noobs that are buying, not selling. We've had trouble where people send money for something and don't get the product, or people send the product and not the money. Basically what it comes down to is this is not a buy/sell forum. This is a wedding forum that has some benefits. Just try to be proactive about researching the seller if you are making a large purchase. Make sure to use your credit card or paypal, so you are protected by them. Here's the other thread again - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...wn-risk-51322/ Quote: Originally Posted by Jennybell1 Finzup suggested something like that and I also said maybe it could be something like ebay...we posted it on Tammy (host) thread about buying and sellling on the forum. 10. You have to keep in mind that this is a wedding planning forum. It wasn't created as a buy/sell forum, but it does have this as an added benefit to it's users. And since the forum is funded personally by Tammy (and free to its members), I'm not sure that is something that would be on the short-term (or even long-term) goals for the forum.
  11. I'm sorry that this happene dto you. Did you file a complaint with paypal also? I think you only have 45 days to do that, so if you are thinking about it, you should do it soon! I hope you get it worked out! ETA: For anyone reading this thread, this might also interest you - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...wn-risk-51322/
  12. No problem, Kate! I kinda forgot that we were supposed to be looking for broken links to fix... If anyone finds a broken link, post here and a mod will try to fix it.

  16. I would tell her to take her ultimatums and shove them up her ass! Why would she book after you told her you no longer wanted her to come? You would normally think it was b/c she's realized she should support her daughter. But booking AFTER that and then giving you ultimatums? I don't think so. Sounds like she's planning drama. If she ends up coming, I would tell hotel security to keep her away from you. Maybe that's going to the extreme, but I'm having one of those days.
  17. Yay, Erika! Love these threads. And you are a SUPER fast healer! I love your purse so much!
  18. I think it's a beautiful dress, so there is nothing wrong with it! But if you are really anxious to sell and it isn't right for anyone on the forum right now, have you listed it on craigslist as well? Those are free ads too, so it might help. Or even ebay. It's a beautiful dress though, so don't doubt that!
  19. Honestly, we did have any special decorations on the beach, and we really didn't need it. They set up the chairs and a little table off to the side with drinks. We also hired the steel drums, which I totally recommend. Anyway, my point was, when you are getting married and you are up there with the minister, you don't really NEED anything else. Unless it's what you want, of course.
  20. I got married on the beach with no arches or gazebo and loved it. There were floating bouys in our pictures, but I really didn't care. I didn't see the point of going to JA to get married if we weren't going to be on the beach. So I guess it jsut depends on how much you care about the little things. The trade-off to me was worth it. And we had our reception in the Ventian Terrace and it was GORGEOUS! The only upgrade that we had was the asian lanterns (I think that's what they are called), and they looked very cool in our photos. Definitely worth the upgrade.
