Ok, I sent you a PM which gave me the ability to send a friend request to you. I probably added an extra step in there, but oh well, I got the friend request in! That stinks for you guys that the birth mother is trying to gain custody back! I'm assuming that whatever the reason was that she lost custody, has been cleared up then? I hope, either way, that she has straigthened out whatever was wrong, but I hope that even more if the courts return her son to her.

I find FF very hard to navigate as well. I mostly just enter my daily info and that's it. Jen - when you said you were adopting a 1 year old boy, I didn't realize that you had him living with you already. Congrats! I guess I should read this thread to see people's history. I had mostly stayed away from the TTC threads since I wasn't into it before my pregnancy. ETA: I am carly375 or *carly* over there, if you want to "friend me"...
-
Well, I joined the TTC wagon in October but still no BFP. FX for one this month, but my doctor said if it doesn't happen then we can start talking about our alternatives. (For anyone reading this that didn't know, I had an ectopic pregnancy 6 months ago and it had to be surgicially removed since they didn't find out it was ectopic until there was a heartbeat. Since I was so far along (about 2 months, which really isn't that far along, but still) and the embryo had a heartbeat, they had to remove my one fallopian tube as well. So I only have one fucntioning ovary. The doctors say that it might not be a problem at all, but I guess if we try for 3 months and nothing, they will start to talk to me about what we can do to help the process.)

PSA: Please read! Broken links
boscobel replied to boscobel's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
Sorry, I guess I should've been more clear. I need the link that contains the broken links, not the broken links. We can't fix them without knowing what they were supposed to be, so we need the link to the thread that contains broken links so we can research it based on the context of the thread. -

Can you post the link here? The link that contains the broken link. I'll fix them asap. -
Attendant gift?
boscobel replied to KJT1985's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I like the wristlet better. It seems like it would get more use and I always found that makeup bags got all dirty and cheap ones were better since I didn't care about them. Plus people will SEE the wristlet and it's cute! -

Vista Print Logo on everything?
boscobel replied to bride2b10's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
If you pay the extra charge to have something on the back then no. We used one of their flat invitations for my wedding shower and again for the menu at my AHR and we paid for the colored back, so there was no logo. -
Ahh plz help!

I prefer the first dress, there's something about the bottom of the second one that's weird to me. But really, you need to love you dress no matter what we say. So if you are having major doubts, sell your dress and get the one you love! I did that too! -
Yeah, the hip hop has been sucky for a while now, which is majorly disappointing to me. I really like Sonya, I think she's my current fave choreo, but I almost always end up fast-forwarding thru the ballroom routines. I'm a bad fan.
-
Exactly how I felt about Ryan too. He's ok and all, but I don't care about him. I do feel more disappointed in the choreography then the dancers this season though. I've even heard the judges make comments like "you've done the best with what you were given", and Nigel straight up told one that he didn't like what he'd done. I think they may be running out of "new" routines or something, like they used up all their tricks. Quote: Originally Posted by Jessica I don't know. I think I've lost total interest in this season. Ryan may as not as well exist for me as far as this show goes. He's a good dancer but he just doesn't catch my attention AT ALL.
-
I'm watching tonights show and I'm beginning to feel invested in it. I like Elenore, Kathryn and surprisingly Ashleigh and Mollee too. I thought they would really annoy me, but it ends up that Noelle is really super annoying to me and I really hope she goes home tonight. For the boys, I still love Legacy and Russell the best, but Jakob is growing on me, he was flawless this week. Ryan I don't care about either way, and Nathan is a cutie, but that's it.

Abbie just bought a house and they've been going craving with renovations, so she probably forgot. A poll will be up shortly.

Vent Your Pet Peeve with FI LOL's
boscobel replied to Preciousmi811's topic in Just venting or funnies
Like when people say "roCKweiler" instead of "rottweiler". OMG, that makes me want to punch them in the face! There are quite a few I have with Matt. He doesn't know hot to shut a cabinet or drawer in the kitchen. Ever. And he def leaves a trail of clothes behind him. Other than that I can't complain, he's fairly easy to live with, goes over and beyond call of duty at times, very affectionate and nurturing, and is really good w/ our daughter. -
diamonds or no diamonds..
boscobel replied to nmurch's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I think it depends on what you want. I'm pretty small too, with almost 2 carat oval diamond with smaller diamonds set in the band on each side. Then I have a wedding band for each side of my ering that's full of diamonds. So if i were going to tell you what I would get if I were you -it would def be DIAMONDS! But you are the one that has to wear it, so get what you want. Go out and try all kinds of bands on with your ering and see how you feel about it. You might surprise yourself and like the diamonds, or you might KNOW for a fact that you want a plain band. Plus tell your FI that you may want to upgrade later to a diamond band. That might appease him if he really wants you to have diamonds. Btw - my mother gave me my Nana's wedding band and it's a plain wide yellow gold band and it looks gorgeous. So I like my extra bling on somedays, and a more subtle look on other days. That might be an option for you. -
Our new hobby - Photography of our pets and other stuff
boscobel replied to YaelM's topic in Random Thoughts
I love the look on Denali's face in the second one. But I love all pictures of dogs! These are pretty good shots, perhaps it will turn into more then a hobby! -
Please perform a search, as these topics have been discussed at length.

I think it depends on how fancy your AHR is going to be. If it's real casual (think beef and beer style) a flyer-type invite would be fine. But if it's going to be fancy, I think you might need something a little more invitation-like. But don't forget that VistaPrint has all kinds of free stuff! For my shower, they used the flat invitation (we also reused it for my menu for the AHR) and they were nice and free! Except postage of course...

Very cool, Tammy! Thanks for adding yet another cool facet to our BDW lives!

Who's a master googler? Need help finding bedding...
boscobel replied to boscobel's topic in Random Thoughts
I know, Janet! I'm obsessed with that one. It is SUPER expensive, but it's also not available anywhere that I can find. :-( Quote: Originally Posted by Janet I love that first one Deb found!! sooo chic and expensive looking (is it also $$$$?) The bedding doesn't HAVE to be all three colors, orange bedding can still match with the gray walls, so this is def a contender. Probably second to Debs, even though I can't find it anywhere. (I even googled UK and CAN sites!) Quote: Originally Posted by mlabbe I love your paint colours! Very nice. That Neiman Marcus set is fantastic, too bad it's so hard to get! I found this blog that might give you some options and good links: Bedding Envy. You can search by colour too. There's a great orange & white set here: Walmart.com: Divatex Diamond 250 Thread Count Duvet Mini Set, Spice: Bedding - you would need to add some gray though to go with it and I'm not sure if it would go with your furniture set too well... Good luck! I actually had this one opened last night at home. I like it alot, but was thinking it might be too dark. I have like 15 gray ones opened on my home computer that I'm supposed to go back to tonight and check them off the list. Sometimes internet shopping makes things HARDER not easier. Madeira Bedding Collection by Calvin Klein Home - Younkers I was actually admiring this today when I saw it in a magazine (haha, I know, it's from a resort). It would look fantastic to recreate with orange in place of the darker blue and perhaps a touch of gray in place of the small light blue pillow! I understand your desire to decorate in a sophisticated way. I was the same way when working on our bedroom!!
