So it's the finale and my favorites are: Russell for a guy and Kathryn for a girl. I really also like Ellenore as well, but I like Kathryn better. Ashleigh ended up growing on me throughout this season and I do like her now, but I don't want her to win. Oddly enough, as Ashleigh grew on me, Ryan grew blah to me. He's been my least favorite guy for a while. No real reason, just one of those things. Legacy was my fave guy, but Russell was such a close second that I was ok when L had to leave. I think that even though I like Kathryn alot, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Russell! He just looks like one of the sweetest people that I've ever seen before and he has grown ridiculously. ETA: oh, I forgot to say that while my faves are Russell and Kathryn, I read online that Jakob is the favored winner. He is very good, but I feel like his personality is lacking so I never really connected to him. Although he is fantastic.

Sadly, I have seen similar things happen before. If you are offended enough (which you have every right to be!), I think you can contact your wedding site host and find the IP address. Then you can do an IP search and find out who it was. It might be more trouble then it's worth. I'd probably just delete the comment and then change your privacy settings so that only people who provide valid emails can post. I'm so sorry that someone was such a jerk though. Sadly, people are jealous and it makes them do mean things. ETA: I think you might be able to ban that IP address from viewing your wedding site too. I would DEF report this to your posting site and see what they suggest.

How to upload siggy
boscobel replied to TammyWright's topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
If you are using photobucket, you need to paste the IMG code, from beginning bracket to end bracket. Sample would look like ncoaehfguidafe -
Hahaha, I'm going to add that one as well. I now have four sample hot chocolates for my fam to possibly buy for me. If no one does I'm going to be stuck on which one to order myself!

Hmmmm, I'm not sure I'm into flavors, but those sound interesting. I think I'll add a bunch to my Christmas list and see if I get any! Quote: Originally Posted by Laura22610 Yum! The brand is Chuao Chocolatier. I'm not a fan of Ghiradelli chocolate, too bitter for me, but I'm going to look into E. Guittard too. Would you share how you make it? I would totally be into making my own if you wouldn't mind sharing. I'd rather do that then purchase any, I just never even thought about it before. I don't mind testing a few to get to "the" one. And I don't mind paying a bit more for it if it's worth it, since I drink it so infrequently, I want it to be GOOD! So I'm not really a fan of hot drinks - tea & coffee, etc. But in the winter, I really like an occasional cup of hot chocolate. But I hate the Swiss Miss ones, it's just not very good. I went grocery shopping tonight and the store only had Swiss Miss. I'm thinking there has to be better kinds out there, right? Right? Like when I get a cup of hot chocolate from a fancy place, it's always much better then the SM kind. So does anyone have any suggestions for a good brand? I like it a little heavier or creamier or something, then the SM ends up being.

Good to know, Mo, thanks! I merged two of those threads into the main one, but left the other two in the "review" section. (I had to move one to the review section...) -

Ok, I created a thread for you - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...9/#post1102971. I also did a search and didn't find many thread, just one review for this resort. If you find any that should be merged into it, let me know! So you come to this thread and post negative comments publicly, then when you get called out on those comments publicly, you take offense and accuse me of acting un-adultlike? I'm really confused by your train of thought here. I did receive your PM, but it was AFTER I had already replied in this thread. And semi-apologetic PM or not, I stand behind my comments. Whether you meant to have an attitude or not, I am pointing out that it comes across that way, so if you want to make friends here you should re-read before you post. Otherwise members aren't very welcoming to people who don't bring anything positive. I'm assuming that you also didn't read the thread that i posted about why people get banned. We cannot tolerate attitude such as you are giving here, b/c if we let people run rampant with their negativity, this forum would NOT be the happy place that it is. Oh and you have a nice day as well and enjoy your temporary ban. -

Latoya, I'm not sure why you seem to have such taken such a great offense, but this forum is a happy place full of people that have gotten to know each other while planning their weddings and some of us have even gotten to be friends in "real life" and stuck around much after our wedding. I would appreciate if you would keep the negativity to yourself, or perhaps read this thread - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-banned-32834/. Also, if you don't mean to offend anyone, perhaps you should re-read your postings and tone down the attitude. Perhaps you don't mean them to contain such attitude, it's hard to read a "tone" in writing, but what comes of of your posts is definitely not a nice attitude. And to clarify on the broken links - when we go to a thread that we have read before, it takes us to the NEW posts, so we don't see the previous posting that may contain broken links. I don't think it's too much to ask our members to post in the "Broken Links" thread when they see that a thread contains broken links. -
Have you heard back from the seller?

In the most recent forum upgrade, all of the reference links where broken. There are probably thousands of broken links and this thread explains it - http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...n-links-50592/. If you see any broken links, post in the thread that I just provided and we will try to update the links. Some of them, there is not an easy way to identify, but some of them we can tell from the content of the thread what the link would be. Quote: Originally Posted by isaidyes When I click on these links it only takes me back to the main forum page...why does that happen? Thanks! -
Yeah, there are tons of abbreviations that I'm still learning too! There is SO much info. The course is just an online tutorial kinda thing, but it def helps out. I should probably retake it since I know a little bit more know then I did in the beginning. It was like greek to me before.

Actually, I update that thread with the new dates and whatnot when someone enters new info. Sometimes it might take a few days for me to see it, but it should get update fairly recently. If you wanted to start a thread to contain all the info, that would be great and I can add a link to your thread from the dates thread. ETA: I should've explained that only mods can edit a thread after it's been created. I think you have an hour window to edit your own thread but after that, only a mod can do it. That's why I have to upkeep the dates threads... -

I kinda agree here. I didn't get married at ROR and when I was planning my wedding I felt overwhelmed with the ROR threads. At this point, we aren't able to add any additional subforums though. Quote: Originally Posted by ashly87 I wish there was a Riu planning thread (I know there's one that lists wedding dates and important links to info such as reception info., etc.) but the Jamaica forum has soooo many Riu threads (I'm not getting married @ Riu and it's no big deal to pass through the Riu threads, but there are also a lot of threads that don't have it in the title so I click on it just to discover its yet another Riu thread) I think it'd be helpful to have a Riu section in the Jamaica forum where people can post all of their questions, discussions, etc. like how there is the "Jamaican Vendors" and "Accomodations and sites" section. that way people getting married there can easily find and post their info and people not getting married there don't have to go through tons of Riu threads =) No problem, I can create that sometime today. She creates the thread (leaving empty posts in the middle to add future details) and then I update it for her when she has changes. This isn't something that I have the time or knowledge to do since I didn't get married at ROR, but if any of the ROR brides wnat to tackle it, that would be awesome! Yeah, I kinda see the stalker vibe too. But I think it was really sweet she sent Naomi to see Liam. <3 And I initially didn't like the blonde dude (I can't remember his name either), but he was really sweet to Silver while Dixon was a douche to her most of the time. Well, ok, she was a bit of a wackjob when she was with Dixon.
-
Yeah, Jasper is totally creepy and I hate Jen too! I hope that biotch is gone forever. I actually like Ivy, but I like that Naomi and Liam are back together more. I'm not a huge Dixon fan. There's something Bubba Gump-ish about his face that just turns me off. And he's like so Carlton in his style and I feel like it doesn't fit. To pull off all those vests and crap you need to have a skinny body. Not that he's fat, but he's fit and that style just doesn't go with his body. Boy, critisize much? I didn't realize I had so many negative feelings. I musta just woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something cuz I like the show!

Damn, Calia, I didn't know that sperm were 6 months old. I thought they were always replenished like immediately since they say when you are TTC you should have sex every other day to let the sperm build back up. Good to know. Stacey & Yael, my only advice would be to start tracking your period. Sign up for Ovulation Calendar and Ovulation Chart - Fertility Charting and start tracking your temps in the morning (basal body temperature), your cervical fluid (I don't really pay attention to this one, but I should), and any other things that you can track. The reason I find this important is b/c as explained in post #92, I had an unexpected pregnancy that ended up being ectoptic and resulted in the lose of a fallopian tube. Now that my fertility is decreased by 50% and we are TTC, it puts alot of pressure on me. If I had been tracking before, I would understand my body a little better and hopefully know what's going on more now. This is our third cycle that we are trying so it's not super long, but it's a frustrating process. It's like planning your wedding, in that once you make the decision to TTC, it consumes you. At least it does me. It's like all I can think about. If I had been tracking before, I would know when I got prego, wht my temps were like, etc. So that would help me understand what's going on now, even though my cycles are still all wonky. Oh, and if you start pre-natals and they make you nauseous/sick/burpy or anything try another brand. I used to always tried to take vitamins from CVS for years and years and they always made me SO sick to the point where I would never end up taking them for very long. I know buy all my vitamins from Whole Foods and I don't get the least bit nauseous or anything. So don't be discouraged if something doesn't feel right, just shop around. Good luck once you start!

I will close this thread, at your request. -
Have you of you tried emailing her directly? She may not return here after the wedding. I checked and she hasn't logged in since 11/10/09. (Although it says she had activity on 11/18/09, I'm not really sure what that means.) Either way, she hasn't been around for almost a month, I would email her directly.

I don't know, I think it's a bit of an overreaction. I know I was super disappointed when people didn't come to JA for my wedding too, so I understand it. But I can tell you that we had our immediate family (parents and siblings) along with a few aunts/cousins and a few friends to total 25 people and it was PERFECT. Whoever is missing once youa re there, won't be missed. But the part that confuses me is how you are saying that everyone else is being selfish, but you can't see your own selfishness. And I'm not even trying to be mean, since I was the same way planning my wedding. I coudln't understand why my wedding wasn't everyone else priority. But I don't understand how you can be mad at your cousin. He obviously has a problem and having his family support him is HUGE. My brother wasn't able to come to JA for my wedding b/c of similar issues and we def missed him, but we are just so happy to have him back to normal. It was worth him missing my wedding to have him straighten his life out. But by the same token that you say, you don't understand why your aunt would miss your wedding for your cousin, you can flip that coin and say why would you aunt not be there to support your cousin for your wedding? Having family support is important to BOTH. But sometimes as an addict, it's only the visible support that you can see. So maybe having his family with him is very important at this time. I guess I just really don't like the back and forth and don't understand why my aunt needs to stay in town for her nephew. It's two months away and I just don't think you can live your life on IFs. She does live in the same town as my cousins parents (my cousin lives an hour away) but they aren't super close in that they don't even see each other once a week or anything. -
