I've had all kinds of piercings and tattoos as well and I wouldn't compare the pain to either of them. Honestly, it feels like exactly what it sounds like! You pubic hair is getting ripped out in chunks!!! It really is horrible, but like i mentioned a few posts ago, it's been over 2 weeks and I am really happy with the results and will most likely continue to get them done and keep my fingers crossed that it gets less painful!

Hmmm, so any ideas on how to find the salons that use this blue wax, or do you just call around until you find someone uses it?

Glad to amuse you! Well since this was bumped, I'll give a mini-update. I got my wax on 02/03, so Wed was 2 weeks and I am still mostly smooth. There's some slight, very soft stubble, and there are a few hairs that were missed in the original wax (probably cuz I was crying and the lady felt bad!). So I'm thinking this is DEF worth it! I read somewhere (on here maybe?) that the blue wax is less painful, so I'm going to search for a salon close to me and test that out next. The last place I went was far away b/c I had a gift cert there...

In particular, access to profiles and the attachments is covered extensively. I am also going to close this thread since it isn't questioning any new problems, just ones that can be found in other threads...

Please SEARCH the forum before starting new threads. Private vs. non-private receptions have been discusses at length. When you find a thread that fits the idea of what you are looking for, but the specific question you have is not answered, feel free to add your question to THAT thread. When there gets to be so many threads discussing the same topics over and over, it makes it harder for people to find the answers to what they are looking for.

I chose the mile markers b/c it's the most original. I've never seen that idea before. The only problem I see with it is that it's not the most "formal" option, so I guess it depends on what you want.

I'm partial to ivory, but since you have a darker complexion, you can pull of white better then I could. Think about what you prefer to wear normally, stark white or creamy white. B/c you want to feel good in your dress, so stick with the tone that you normally prefer to wear.

I'm not sure about the word "embarrassed", but I had 3 kids in my wedding. Nephew (2), niece (3) and niece (4), and they were among my favorite parts of the day. The girls left the ceremony to go look for seashells and we have the cutest pictures of them walking with their buckets. Then my nephew stole my bouquet from where it was laying on the beach and then stood on my train and that's another of my fave pictures. I wasn't embarrassed at all by their behavior, or else i wouldn't have had them in the wedding. But that's just me, and I'm pretty low-key and didn't want an uptight ceremony, so what they did totally fit with my idea of a perfect wedding. If you have a more "perfect" image of what you want your wedding to be, I think Julie's suggestion of having someone watch your son is your best option.

Also, the search on here isn't like the search on google. Like if you type in "hotels in jamaica" (thanks for the example, Abs!), you won't get a list of hotels; you will get a list of thread that have "hotel" or "jamaica" in them. I'm not sure of the technical term, but it's a word match search. Also, I just merged you "Maggie Sottero" thread, and realized that you might not have got any results in your search b/c you spelled it "Sorrento", or something similar. I can't remember exactly how it was misspelled...

Can you tell me exactly how you are searching? For instance, if you were searching for "recipe", can you tell me exactly what the screen looked like before you hit search and got no results? The forum recently had an upgrade, so while my search is working fine, we should def look into if it isn't working properly for everyone.
