  1. Just an FYI, but part of the forum etiquette rules are to respect Tammy host and the other TA's by not advertising for other TA's. Darn, I'm trying to find the thread that contained that info and can't find it. I'll find it and update this posting later. 2. Just found this and thought it deserved to be bumped!
  3. Hmmmm, how did I miss this thread for so long! I'm pretty boring. I want a cool collection too!! The only thing I could say we "collect" is a Christmas ornament for whatever big thing happened that year, with the date on it. My parents had 1/year for each of us growing up and I used to think it was so cool. I hope that one day my mom gathers them all together and passes them along to me. I guess I could say I collect nail polish. I buy a new one just about everytime I go into the drugstore, I probably have hundreds and I barely even paint my nails anymore! The other thing I guess I could say I collect is crafts. I am addicted to buying craft stuff. Lately, I've even used the stuff to actually make stuff [gasp]! But I have tons and tons just boxed up. I'd really love to have something to collect, but I can never think of anything that I want a collection of! I don''t have a hibiscus collection yet, but I imagine I will soon. I love them. Betsy - I've been thinking about China lately too b/c we've been having people over so often. Would you collect all different kinds? Just wondering cuz I always think of China in complete sets, but I do like mismatched stuff, I just think I might feel pressure trying to find mismatched stuff that was complimentary. Damn, I didn't even START collecting it and I'm already over-analyzing! Quote: Originally Posted by Betsy I "collect" hallmark christmas ornaments. Whatever ornament we got symbolized something we did that year, like the year we got our kitty, we got a kitty ornament. I guess thats more of a tradition. I would LOVE to collect wine, but I always drink it to fast too! Maybe I will have to start getting a wine I don't like, that way it will stay around for awhile. AND I think I want to start collecting fine china. I never was really into it, but now I love cooking, and having people over, and I think it would be cool to serve them on nice china from all over the world.......
  4. Please, please, PLEASE search! I have been closing so many repetitive threads lately. This forum is a WEALTH of information, just about every topic has been covered at some point, but the reason it's so easy to navigate is b/c we try to keep it clean and stream-lined. Please search b/c both of the topics you are asking about have various threads discussing them, and then post your question in the most likely thread.

  6. There is a thread dedicated to hairstyles which includes photos and links to lots of hair, including short. Do a search for hairstyles, or go to the main thread in the "attire" section that contains all the shortcuts to important threads in that section.
  7. I am closing this thread and then merging with the official TTD one. Please search before starting a new thread!
  8. I'm going to merge all the peacock themed wedding threads together...
  9. They are really pretty, but also kinda expensive! I think you should see if you can find someone on etsy who can make them for you at a much mroe reasonable price.
  10. Oh cool, thanks, Jen! It's like a phase 2!
  11. Awww, thanks, Ana!! I'm hoping this will boost-start my weight loss since the daily exercising isn't helping!
  12. I'm going to move this to the proper subforum, if you haven't posted a real newbie thread, you might want to redo that since this is more of a question then a newbie posting...
  13. Thanks girls, I'll pass along the + feedback! I've been trying to make sure I tell him I am proud of him w/o appearing to harp on it b/c I don't want it to turn into something he thinks I "nag" (HATE THAT WORD!) him about, but I also want him to know how happy I am he is doing it!
  14. Just willpower! He said that he went to visit an old friend that's a few years older and he looked OLD. And he smokes alot, so Matt said that he threw his cigs away when he left his house.
  15. I'm not sure about the timing thing. We are going to start it tonight and I figured Matt would either have a timer watch, or my iphone would. Oh and today is 3 weeks since Matt had a cigarette!!!
  16. I'm not sure off hand, but you could probably google it or ask your TA...
  17. Oh, I'm not laughing, Trish! I for sure can't do 5 minutes. I think I have a slight case of asthma but was never diagnosed b/c whenever I feel winded I just get control over myself and make it go away. I am excited about it b/c I feel like the small increments are totally doable!
  18. I didn't read any other advice yet, but I think you should invite. Whether you like her or not won't change the fact that she's going to be your sister-in-law. You don't have to talk to her at your shower if you don't want to, but I think you do need to invite her. I know, I know, totally not what you wanted to hear, but you really don't want to start off your new life with this family on such a sour note.
  19. I heard about this program on here but saw that it didn't have a thread dedicated to it. I just talked Matt into doing it with me, yay!! We are going to start tomorrow and do Monday, Wednesday and Friday since those are the days were he doesn't work late. I hope we stick to it! Has anyone else done it? What did you think of it? 20. Obviously, I'm not a fan of cheaters, but I don't care much one way or the other. I didn't watch the apology either. But I will say that I lost whatever respect I had for him. Sure, sure, people cheat all the time, and don't you usually lose respect for them? Granted, it's not like I knew that much about it from pre-cheating days! I tend to not think people are sincere when they make the public apologies b/c I feel like they are only doing it b/c they got caught. But that's more about the public apology part then anything else.
  21. Hahahaa, sometimes we really do overcomplicate things, don't we. I would send a mass email asking for their address and then update the spreadsheet yourself. If you reallllly want to have them enter it right into the file, you can create it on http://docs.google.com/ and then send an email out to have people update online. I would think it would be easier to maintain control though b/c people might be put off my the google doc if they don't know how it works.
  22. Do you have the "keep me signed in" / "remember me" (or something like that) check box marked? If not, it will automatically sign you out after a certain amount of time.
