  1. Just wondering, how long is recovery time? I'm reading a bunch of different things online and I forget what they told me during my consult. If I got it done on Tuesday, would I be out of work the whole week or just that day?
  2. Did you try searching the forum? There is so much information out there about who used who and what they thought of their work.
  3. Probably a bad idea to watch this at work! I'm at my desk crying!! ETA: Ok, I jsut cried thru basically the entire episode. So many good parts, but I don't want to give it away for those that haven't watched yet. But I will say that I'm not a fan of Lexie and Alex. I want her to get back with McSteamy. But I thought it was two hours? The online one I watched was only about 45 mins which is an hour in tv time. Did I miss something? http://abc.go.com/shows/greys-anatomy/episode-guide
  4. Ohh, thanks for the reminder! I need to watch this online!
  5. Wahoo, love this show! And good riddance to Mary, omg, I would always fast forward through her comments and sometimes even the other judges b/c I couldn't stand her screaming ass.
  6. Ok, I started up the program last night. W1D1 and it was still freaking hard. I wish I had a treadmill instead of an elliptical b/c it's hard to "run" on an elliptical. But I need to stick with it this time. I think I'll put a tv in the extra bedroom, so I can keep myself occupied for the 30 minutes. I'm also setting a goal for when I move outside - week 4. I think by then, I should be able to do it and not embarrass myself too much. I also re-started the crunch, push-up and squat challenges last night too.
  7. I did laser hair removal before my wedding and it def had an impact (still 2 years later), but it def wasn't permanent. My hair is thinner and comes in less, which makes it easier when I get waxed, but it was by no means permanent. My waxer was surprised at how little hair I had that grew in 4 weeks between appts. Which also make it less painful, but it wasn't worth the money for me.
  8. So proud of you, Jill!! I keep saying I'm going to start it back up again and then I make up excuses not too. So hopefully I can really find the time to do it this week and stick to it.
  9. My lady uses the strips. I heard the hard wax was better but couldn't find any salons that used it. My waxer used to use the hard wax, but her opinion was that it didn't do as good a job / last as long. I didn't really care if it lasted less if it hurt less, which is what I heard! But now that I've gone 3 times, it's much better anyway.
  10. The bikini wax is just the legs and slightly inside. You can call and ask if they'll modify it, but if it's not something they normally do, I would find a different place.
  11. Glad this got bumped b/c I wanted to update again... Went in for my 3rd brazilian and what everyone said is true - it's get's easier! That's all.
  12. You can PM her thru the forum, or you can submit a request thru the banner at the top of the page.
  13. Have you searched for how to upload photos? You can click on the link in my siggy for a shortcut to a thread of helpful links.
  14. I've always been interested in geneology, but now that I'm bored at work today, I'm totally into it!! I have so many windows open with all the links provided! I'm thinking of taking this on as a pet project to keep me occupied and I can give it as a gift to my parents (Dad) sometime b/c he's also into this stuff too.
  15. Have you tried searching the forum? This is a very common question that the thousands of brides that get married in MX have. The search was my best friend for a loooong time!
  16. That is very unlike Sarah, but I beleive it happened to either her or another vendor where emails were being marked as "junk" and sent to the trash folder. Have you tried calling her instead of just email? Or messaging her thru PM on BDW? Or on facebook?
  17. Hmmm, mine was so long ago that I don't have pictures uploaded anymore. But we did a bellydancing theme. We hired a bellydancer to come to my parents house and give a lesson. And our drink was chocolate martini's. It was super fun, even for the girls that weren't really into it in the first place.
  18. There is an entire subforum dedicated to "at home receptions" - AHR. You can probably find all the answers to your questions if you search within that subforum.
  19. I like both dresses, but Destiny really looks incredible on you. It fits you so well and just looks "right". How much out of budget is it? Can you get it replicated? I know that one of the older members (anacgarcia) had a dress very similar to that and she had it custom made. I don't know what she spent on it, but it might be something to check into. Plus alot of brides have had good experiences with dresses made from China on ebay. My biggest advice is to buy the dress YOU (not your mom, bm, friends, sister, FI) love, b/c every one else will just be seeing it for the first time ON you at the wedding and they will be struck by how wonderful you look and the excitement of the day no matter what dress you chose. You on the other hand will be thinking about this dress daily until the wedding day! Make sure you don't "settle" for something that you don't love.
  20. No, you def don't have to have her be in them. The professional pictures are for immediate family only. It would be different if they were married or engaged, but as it is, it would be weird if she EXPECTED to be in them!
  21. Very cute dress. How much are you trying to spend? I don't think $63 is too much at all. In fact, I just bought a dress for $58 for a wedding in October just b/c it was too good a deal to pass up! ETA: Just saw that you bought it, you'll have to let us know how much you love it! And post pics of course.
  22. Ok, I voted. Is Breezes also a Sandals resort? I don't know anyone that got married there, but was just looking at a friends photos on fb and thought maybe it should be added to Sandals/Beaches, IF they're connected...
  23. Would Beaches be considered the same as Sandals since it's the same company? If not, Beaches could be added...
  24. Ok, I practically ran right here after my wax this morning. I warned the waxer about how bad last time was and how I cried like a baby. She was like "then why are you doing this to yourself!?" Hhahhahaaa, good question, right? But it was so far from my last experience that I can't even believe it. My eyes didn't even tear up. Ok, maybe they teared up on a strip or two, but never enough that any were forced out. Maybe it helped that we talked the whole way, but I think it had more to do with technique. She had me pull my skin, like said on this thread which the other person didn't. She also used baby powder and stuff in the middle, like she treated it as she went so once she ripped it it didn't hurt so bad. Honestly, I wasn't looking at what she was doing, so I don't know exactly what she did differently, but it was so not bad that I already made my appt for 4 weeks. Oh and she also told me that my hair was a bit too long and it would be more painful and it really wasn't! AND I'm supposed to get AF today, which is supposed to be a more painful time, but this was seriously worlds away from last time. I'm tempted to call the other place and complain, but it's like 3 months later now... Anyway, my point is, my second time was MUCH better then my first. I'm thinking it has alot to do with the person doing the waxing. So if you have a horrible time (like I did!) go somewhere else!!
