Wow, amazing bump! Hahahaa, do you realize that this thread was started in 2007 and the original poster has been married for 3 years?

I used to be a big fan of all of them, but when all that went down, I was def Team Jen. I've lost respect for both Brad and Angelina and will love Jennifer forever. I don't hate B or A, but I'm really not a fan of them together.

Do whatever makes you happiest! You can afford to buy a new dress since you've downgraded to a less formal ceremony, so if you want to switch, you def should. That being said, I would a fully beaded and lace couture gown for my beach wedding b/c it was what I wanted. I didn't care about light and flowy once I found "the" dress. So if you think that is your special dress, stick with it! If you want to switch it up, go for it!

Room Blocks, Deposits & Group Rates...Oh My!! TA Help Needed!
boscobel replied to perry1217's topic in Honeymoon Forum
I agree with Tammy, that the TA is there to answer your questions, so that's always your best bet. But if you are feeling like you are overwhelming him/her with too many questions, why not just keep a list and send a few questions once a week/month or something? -
*omg* Did I buy the right dress??
boscobel replied to JR14's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Just a tip, but you should include "post #27" in your thread title so people know where to look to purchase the dress... -
I did the situp and crunch program along with c25k for a few weeks last year and really saw an improvement. Honestly, my goal wouldn't even be 100 push-ups or 200 sit ups, it would just be to get in shape. I think I was up to 20 consecutive push-ups, up from barely able to complete 3 in a row initially, but that also means that in the few minute session, you are doing way more then 20 since you do it multiple times. Initially the push-ups were hardest for me, but they got easier as they went on, the sit ups are still hardest for me. And for those worried about being boxy, I'm sure you could do any version of the sit up you want. Like the side crunch which is good for thinning womens middles (i think anyway!). I just started c25k up again last week and I plan to add these back as well.

Grrr, edit: by obviously, I just meant that I'm already married!

Oh I think that's a fantastic upgrade! Obviously, I probably won't be buying anything, but that's a cool improvement.

*omg* Did I buy the right dress??
boscobel replied to JR14's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Honestly, I think it depends on how much it matters to YOU. My dress was one of the most important things to me. I didn't care I was getting married on a beach in Jamaica in hot May, I was going to make my dress work and I did and I wouldn't chance a thing. Granted, I didn't do a TTD and I probably would've used a different dress since lace/beading doesn't so well in the water. Some brides don't care that much about the dress and other brides it really matters to you. So you just need to decide which one you are and either stick with your dress (which is a great option) or sell that dress and get the one that made you feel like a million bucks! Good luck with whatever you decide. I know lots of girls have had luck on here selling their dresses. -

I love, love, love your MOH dress. Love it so much I'm trying to think of a reason I can buy it for myself! But back to your question. I absolutely think if you aren't happy, you should look for an alternative solution. Does the place you bought your dress, carry the dress that you want? Maybe they'll accept an exchange? For what it's worth, I think both dresses are gorgeous on you, but #1 took my breath away. It seems made for your body. -
Well I hope you enjoyed your time here b/c pretty sure your ban will happen any second now. I'd have done it myself if I was still a mod and it would be totally justified b/c who called people c*nt. That's just gross and I'm glad that you and your negativity will never be here again.

? Obviously you want to get banned. Why not just leave the forum instead of starting drama? I don't get it.

I wasn't prepared to update this thread when I first saw your reply, cuz I wasn't ready to share yet. But here's what happened over the last few weeks. We went the Monday before Thanksgiving to our old RE and decided that we didn't like that office. A combination of the way they made us feel and messing up our appointments all the time. We had my husbands sperm analyzed and the results showed that there could be issues there as well, but inconclusive. All of his numbers were borderline ok, which means that they can be better on other days and worse on other days. He also told us that our chances of conceiving on our own were very slim and we should seriously consider IVF. Our chances would go up to about 60% with IVF. Those numbers make me want to jump at the chance, but IVF is so emotional, I don't think I could deal with that right now. After we decided we really didn't like that office, I made an appointment with a different doctor and we switched. I went the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to her and I love everyone in her office! The only bad thing is the location isn't great, so I am at least 2 hours late to work whenever I have a morning appointment. Oh well though, it'll be worth it to be with a doctor who is interested in us. She also had most of the same things to say, IVF is our best chance, but she would support us going back to pills to stimulate ovulation. Oh and she also diagnosed me with PCOS, endo and said I have a very large polyp that might be an issue. How these things were all missed before this, I have no idea. I left that appointment in tears b/c I couldn't believe that it was getting WORSE for us. Then 2 days later, Friday the day after Thanksgiving, I got a BFP! So while I was hearing all of this horrible news, I was actually pregnant the entire time! I had symptoms immediately, but since I already experienced a loss, I knew better then to get too excited. We started blood tests every other day and the initial test was great, the next showed that there might be problems and the next confirmed that this pregnancy wasn't going to last. I am not a home waiting to miscarry. I can't believe this is happening again, but to have all of those things happen to get the BFP and end like this, seems like a cruel/sick joke. Getting pregnant on our own after well over a year trying and doing fertility drugs; they told me that I O'd on the side with no tube and the tube on the opposite side reached over and grabbed the egg ("medical miracle"); oh and yeah, I got this horrible news yesterday ON my 32nd birthday. All of those things lined up, I was so thinking that this was going to work out b/c how can it not? But here I am.

Brazilian Blowout or Keratin Complex Hair Treatment?
boscobel replied to rosieposie's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
That's so weird! I haven't heard that happen to anyone else, so I wonder what that's about. I have blonde hair and get highlights and haven't had issues like that. My SIL has dark hair and gets it colored, and I don't think she had problems. They do say that the coloring should be done about 2 weeks prior to the BB, so I wonder if they were done too closely? What does her hairdresser say? She should def bring it up to them b/c it sounds like (to my non-professional ears!) something is not right. I've never had the keratin, but have heard mostly good things. The only thing that made me chose the BB over the keratin is that keratin changes the dna makeup of your hair (or whatever the proper terminology is) so that it grows out. The BB wears off rather then growing out which gives a less obvious need for another treatment. -
I dn't know anything about your restrictions either, but I know I had trouble taking vitamins until I went to Whole Foods and bought an all natural one. I think the brand was "rainbow"? I've also heard people say that taking them at night helps them not to feel sick from them... Good luck!

I'm jumping in w/o reading the whole thread yet, but I am in LOVE with Weeds! I started watching season 1 on netflix a few weeks ago and am already halfway thru season 5! I could def watch this for hours and hours, and kinda hate that it's only 30 mins long.

Yeah, those comments make me want to punch them in the throat. It's so insensitive or somehow puts the blame on us or something. Or maybe that's me being sensitive, but I feel I will be justified to flip the eff out next time someone says something like that to me.

"Unexplained infertility" is annoying to me b/c there's nothing you can do. And ugh! 4 years! I really hope something works for you soon!

Well, I'm still not pregnant that's for sure! We stopped injections and medications in June I think and just continued with acupuncture for a few months until quitting that 1-2 months ago too. Matt thought it would miraculously happen once we stopped "trying". I think he finally sees that there's a problem so he mentioned going to get a SA (seman analysis) done and talking to the doctors again about what our options are. So we have an appt next Monday to do both of those things. I have a feeling they are going to tell us that IVF is the next step and we aren't there yet - mentally, emotionally or financially. I'm hoping that we can maybe go back to one of the drugs (preferably in pull form!) that will stimulate ovulation so that maybe we can get my right side working instead of my left always ovulating. I just can't believe it's been 1.5 years since our loss and we are still trying. Who knew it would be this hard??! Are you guys doing anything other then tracking ovulation and timed intercourse? Rereading the last few posts, I had to say that I'm on CD18 now and still haven't ovulated! FF has pushed back my average day to CD20. Just wanted to put that out there since you were worried about CD19 last time. Have your cycles been consistent since starting the FM?

Brazilian Blowout or Keratin Complex Hair Treatment?

I know that Jen_S (she doesn't sign in that often, I don't think) did the BB express and she was happy with the results. You could probably PM her to hear what she has to say. -
The intention of this forum is to assist brides/grooms in planning their dream destination wedding. The reason that other members are requesting you to read thru the other threads is b/c if everyone had the same attitude as you, there would be hundreds of threads to answer "their" questions. The mods work very hard to try to keep the forum streamlined and easy to navigate. When there are countless threads discussing the same questions, it becomes a mess. Lauren has been around this forum for over 3 years, so she knows exactly what the intentions of the forum are, you at 7 posts may not understand that yet, but once you are around for a bit, you will see that having consolidated information is the best way to keep the forum running smoothly. If you have questions regarding your particular resort, you should find the time to browse that thread. If that isn't possible (135 IS alot to read!), at least post the question in the appropriate thread rather then having a new thread for just your questions. Imagine if every bride did that? So repetitive.
