I have a silly question - does anyone know where Beaches Boscobel is located? The website says Ocho Rios, but my travel agent told me it is in Negril. I thought perhaps Ocho Rios and Negril were next to each other and that was where the confusion is, but no, they are on entirely different coasts of Jamaica! Help! Carly

I am getting married in Jamaica next year. We wanted an all-inclusive, child-friendly resort (we have 4 kids under 4 that are in our immediate family and hopefully in the wedding). We had our heart set on Sunset at the Palms, but they had some ridiculous requirements. The They reguired a 7 night min stay for our guests! The rooms were individual bungalows that had a limit of 2 adults and 1 child. So my sister with 2 kids under 4, would have to split up her children to stay there! Ridiculous, but the resort was beautiful. If that is still a little on the expensive side, check out the other Sunset resort at Sunset That appears to be very child friendly and was what we originally were going to book. I think we decided on Beaches Boscabel now though. I hope this helped! Carly

I happened upon this website when I was trying to research etiquette and whatnot for destination weddings and thought I better join! We got engaged in December and have been having trouble finding a resort. I think we FINALLY decided on Beaches Boscabel in Jamaica. I am excited to go thru and read some of the posts. Hello all, I just joined yesterday, haven't even posted my "newbie" note yet, but was reading this and figured I would offer up my opinion as well regarding destinationweddings.com. I paid them a few months ago and recently requested my money back. I knew I wanted an all-inclusive, family friendly resort that was tropical. Not a big condo building, but an actual tropical resort. My DW lady told me to do some research and let her know what I found and then she would check it out. She had no opinions to offer me. I really wasn't happy with it, so I thought I was expecting too much at first and let it go, but eventually I realized that she is supposed to be a TRAVEL AGENT that specializes in Destination Weddings! Why doesn't she know this stuff? So I asked for me money back, I haven't heard back from her yet. It would be a great idea for a company, if it worked, and I am sure it does for some people, but I was extremely unhappy with my dealings. Sorry for such a long post! I am off to post my "newbie note" now. Carly
