  1. This article has some interesting facts... http://metropoint.metro.lu/20070801_Philadelphia.pdf
  2. Wow, from me reading these posts all the time, it seemed like Chandlyn was on that ball. I just had to call my travel agent to complain about the WC Beaches assigned to me, b/c she doesn't even respond to email or when I ask her qustions, she tells me to go to beaches.com. I will be calling to complain when I find a few minutes sometime today. My point in saying all that is that Chandlyn is way better then what I have been receiving, so perhaps it isn't quite that bad after all. This review does offer a great suggestion thouh, of having someone be the back up to verify that what you wanted done gets done. Good luck!!
  3. Bunch of wusses. Self included! We dont even know you, but obviously, you have really touched us all. 3 days and counting! I can't wait till I can say that about myself, instead of 9+ months!
  4. I LOVE the topaz one, I say buy that one! Whoops a little late for the vote, I see. But they are nice, can't wait to see pics of it in action!
  5. Wow, I am crying at my desk at work. My co-worker just IM'd me to see what was wrong. Kelly, that is a very touching story and I think you are making the right decision. Everton obviously loves you and your family and seems like a great man to have by your side. I am sorry that your lives have been touched by stuff hurtful things, but glad that it made you realize how perfect E is for you. Good luck!
  6. Wow, those are great! You really are a beautiful person. I love your dress, your veil, your flowers, your hair! Will you stand in for me as bride on my wedding day?! Think Matt would notice? But honesyl, they are wonderful pics. Congrats!

Thanks for the idea, Carly Lizz - Harleysville Bridal is actually only bridal gowns and it's fairly small. They have a sister shop somewhere close by that has prom and bridal party dresses. The name is escaping me right now, but if you check out Harleysville Bridal website, I am sure they list it there. I think the dresses there were all really nice, so I am sure the ones at the bridal party shop are great too! Where does your sister live??
  8. Laura, I was doing a search for parasols today and came across this website - Parasol & Umbrella - they had a really cute Cherry Blossom parasol and it stodd out to me since you were looking at a million pages of cherry blossom stuff from the etsy site earlier... Not sure if you are even interested in parasols, but it was too cute not to pass on!
  9. Hahahahaa, sometimes men have a hard time with clothes. What he picked out sounds nice though, but I know what you mean. I told Matt he could pick out whatever he wanted, with my approval. (Cuz first he wanted to not wear a shirt, then he wanted to wear a tuxedo t-shirt). Maybe you can have your sister ask him in private and he wouldn't even know you were doubting him? Or just tell him, you want it to be perfect, so please can xxx see what you bought? I promise I won't ask anything else regarding your clothes. Something like that.
  10. Can you ask him to show your mom or sister or girlfriend to be sure? Or his mom or sister? Or anyone that you trust their opinion, but won't break when you grill them on what it is :-)
  11. Damn, Matt and I just registered there on Sunday. I hope it works out fine, cuz I ain't worrying about it. We also previously registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond and they were great, we found just about everything there and their return policy is awesome. No receipts, cuz they can jsut look up your registry and you can return it for cash. My FI also told me that if someone buys you a gift with a coupon, you get the difference of the money they saved, but I never heard that and haven't had a chance to research that yet....
  12. Congrats! Great non-pro pics! And like all the other pic whores, can't wait to see more

  14. Oh crap, I might have to go with the laser hair removal first then! I didn't think it was that expensive. Maybe I will do the hair removal now, since it's like $1k and do the eye surgery after we get married. Damn it.
  15. Tami, I love those shoes and I am trying to find a reason to buy them!
  16. I will probably go barefoot or have flip flops in case the sand is hot. Matt isn't much taller then me at 5'5", so I don't like wearing huge heels, they make me feel gargantuan (sp?). I haven't bought my dress yet, but I want a champagne/gold color and I have gold butterfly flip flops that I bought in Payless a few years ago that I love, so I might just wear them. If not, I'd go for a color, or sparkly. That's just how I roll :-)
  17. I had to say other, cuz I will have 3 girls and he will have 6 guys, if they all book like they said they would. I have 4 close girlfriends that can't participate in the Jamaica part of it, cuz they all have 1+ kids, but they are helping with everything else and will be a part of the AHR.
  18. I am doing this befoe the wedding, but haven't booked it yet. I have the paperwork, but haven't actually done it. It was either this or laser hair removal. I told Matt I want one now and one after we are married and I am so looking forward to being on our honeymoon and not having to rollover and put my glasses on!!!! Keep up updated on the progress!
  19. Oh, you know what other cake is DELISH! Red Velvet cake! Yummy!!!!! Afternoon hunger pangs are creeping up....

But i def want chocolate ganache, if Matt lets me get that, I might let him the vanilla cake. Compromises, compromises.
  21. It's about 2 hours or so. Allentown is almost (or maybe it is considered) to the mountains. We'll see. I told my FI that I wanted to upgrade wherever possible, to make the trips easy. Even driving to Philly is about an hour, so then we'd have to drive to AC from Philly. I am even looking into perhaps flying out of Allentown airport, but those flights are so limited...
  22. Damn, I really need to start logging in on the weekends! Congratulations, Erika! I love your ring! Cushion is my favorite, but I couldn't find any yellow diamons that were cushion, so we went with oval. But your's is gorgeous! I am glad to see your status updated to GOT THE BLING!
  23. I can't beleive they freely give you so much information! Perhaps I need to request to speak to a diffrent WC at Beaches or something. Heidi - on another note, I forget if you already purchased your dress, but Harleysville is having a bridal show this weekend and the grand prize is $1,000 towards a dress of your choice. I am so going and keeping all fingers and toes crossed that I win. But if you go, I'd be happy for you to win too. Not as happy as if I won, but still. :-)
