  1. Ok, so my memory was a little off. It was Ann (akh) who had posted a few links, but it was from a while ago, a thread that I was just catching up on. If you scroll down about halfway, http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-attire-4.html, there are a few ideas.
  2. Ok, I cannot find the thread that I mentioned a few minutes ago, and finding pink and green ties is harder then I thought! I think I even remember someone saying that in the other thread (perhaps ann - ank?). I will continue to check, but I did find this one. Men's Ties: Silk Ties, Designer Ties, Novelty Ties or this one, hahahaa
  3. I think a green tie would look awesome, even a pink and green striped tie. I think someone else just posted a thread looking for pink and green striped ties within the last few days and a bunch of responses were posted. I will see if I can find it...
  4. Jenetta - I absolutely love your table. It works for me as well, since orange is one of my colors. I am totally saving those pictures!
  5. Matt tells me last night he was only kidding about the tire tread ring. I was like "WHAT!!!! After all the work me and the girls put into researching and trying to find it for you!?" He said not for a wedding band. He does still like the dark metals though, so there's a step. Sometimes that man just drives me crazy. Thank you all for your research and help looking into this!
  6. Oh, man, I bought all kinds of stuff to make my own book but this is so tempting!!! Perhaps I can do this for the AHR which is 300+ people, while Jamaica is only about 50.... Oh decisions, decisions.
  7. They look awesome, Jenesis! I love what you did! Quote: Originally Posted by JENESIS I did my own. I just bought card stock and envelopes form Paper Source, some ribbon, rubber stambs and scalloped scissors. Here's picture. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...invitation.jpg
  8. Yari - maybe you don't need to get rid of the blue at all, but add pink to your colors. My colors are blue, fuschia and orange. Some things combine all three, but most are only 2 of each. Don't know if I am making sense, except to say that I still have blue as one of my colors with this dress!

Holy crap, Maria! You just scared the crap outta me. I know it's bad for him, but I am more concerned about him quitting smoking cigarettes. He has until the wedding for that (we both agreed, cuz he wants to quit too). I just didn't care so much about the pot, cuz it's one hit as opposed to an entire cigarette. I don't want to be too controlling. He is alraedy complaining that I am cracking the whip cuz we are actually starting to PLAN the damn wedding! hahahahahaaa.
  10. Wow, Mo, that is awesome. I just saved it (like I do to practically everything else on this forum!)
  11. I agree with Jessica. I don't smoke, but my FI does on a daily basis. Functioning pothead. (Now my bro on the other hand, can't do that cuz it leads to other things he has no control over). But I don't really believe in the random drug testing either, except if you work with heavy machinery. I am sorry you are having a bad day, Christa! (And Yari!)
  12. Awwww. I know what you mean, it is sad when you upset someone. I am glad you spoke though and everything is worked out.
  13. My mom made the same offer towards the dress ($1k). I am so glad she did, cuz I thought I was paying for the entire thing. Since she was able to contribute, I was able to get my dream dress (which I never would've considered w/o her assistance). And luckily, I don't plan on wearing shoes and I am making my veil myself. I can understand your frustration though, if she told you different once before. Once told something, your mind starts to plan around that specific thing. Like I am sure that if she had originally told you $1k, you'd think that is awesome, but the fact that she said $2k and then went to $1k and acts like she never said the first amount is frustrating. But I agree with Julie, accept with grace any help offered.
  14. My resort is inlcuding a welcome (or did they call it rehearsal) dinner in my wedding package (even though it's an AI anyway!), for every person booked thru my package, so we will probably do one. If it was going to be an additional expense, I wouldn't do it, cuz I just don't have the budget.
  15. Shelley, I love the blue one. This forum just keeps adding to my list of "wants"! Good luck with the DIY ones.
  16. I am having them carry them instead of flowers and then I figured then can do whatever they want with them in the ceremony. If it's hot and they want it up, that's fine. If it's annoying and they want to put it down, that's fine too. I am trying to take a laidback approach to it all, it's mainly for pictures and it was WAY cheaper then having to buy them all bouquets.
  17. I bought the dresses back in May and I needed to track them all over the US! Here is the link to Norstrom's - Adrianna Papell Floral Silk Halter Dress - Adrianna Papell - Nordstrom.com - but I also had to get it from Dilliard's. I don't have that link anymore, but I needed a few different sizes and the Nordstrom's only had 8 and bigger, I had to track down size 2 & 4 down in Louisianna (that was at Dilliards). If you really want them and are having trouble locationg it, I called both Nordstrom and Dilliards corporate and had them track down locations for me.
  18. Not a problem. Points aren't good for anything except buying gifts, giving donations and opening attachments, and it's nice to do something nice for someone. You were my good deed for yesterday.
  19. Hmmmm, I don't know about them being stinky. I ordered a bunch and they didn't smell, but it could be a batch thing. Perhaps they smell when they get wet or something, but mine were (are) fine.
  20. Thanks Cali, let me know if your FI remembers where he saw the tire tread one.
  21. Wow, Tami, I am sorry to hear that and sorry I missed first time around!! I am glad that you guys figured out a way to fix it and it wasn't too much drama (fighting) involved.
  22. Wow, I hadn't heard that one - switching resorts. I actually didn't get much feedback at all after I sent out the STD's. But everyone knew for like 5 months that this is what we were doing, so I guess they wre prepared.
  23. Tami - I must've missed it somewhere, but what happened to your ering?
  24. Wow, that is great news!!! Isn't it great when friends come thru with unexpected nice-ities!
