  1. It made total sense, Ann. I didn't know you guys were trying now, how exciting! I am sure it won't take long with the pregnancy vibes that go around on this forum!
  2. Jules - I see the right avatar pic now, instead of the vbulletin or whatever it was yesterday, so that's a step in the right direction, right?
  3. Well you never know, Tami, cuz showers are usually surprises. I don't think anything should happen differently b/c you are having a DW. Do you think they are planning it and you just dont know? I realize it isn't about the gifts, but the thing is peopl ehave showers for weddings. No matter wher eyou are getting married, you are still getting married! I think a shower would be expected unless you specifically said otherwise.
  4. Hmmm, see the hard part there is that if people are invited to multiple functions, they think they need to bring gifts to each one, even if specifically told not to. I think if his friends are offering to do a shower for their specific group of friends, you don't have to invite the BM's, unless you want them there also. But they could come as guests. I don't know what the "etiquette" is, except to say that tradition and etiquette go out the window with everything about a DW! I have heard lots of times how people have various showers - the weddign shower, the work shower, etc. I would jsut clarify what these people are offering and then go from there.
  5. Hahahaaa, not at all, but my tolerance ends at about 7, I think. I love toddlers, not so much the older kids and younger teenagers.
  6. I second exactly what Alyssa said. Perhaps they want to host a party for you for their group of friends, which is great. If that is the case, then your BM's would probably need to do something for you actual wedding shower.
  7. Tami - I don't think that detracts from your bouquet at all and I think it would make great pictures!
  8. Good discussion topic. Whenever people ask how long we will wait to have kids, I always say "I love puppies". I feel the same way you do, I don't relate to babies. Now toddlers, they are a different story. once a baby is 1, I am totally in love with them. And I have always felt that way also. I can't imagine NOT having kids, but I kinda can't imagine having them either...
  9. Angela - I swear I posted to this thread yesterday, but it isn't here! Oh well, you looked gorgeous and everything looked wonderful. I only spot-viewed a few pics, but it looked so fun. I like the TTD for the entire bridal party.
  10. Thanks BDW for organizing this! People are so incredibly caring and generous on here! I just sent in my (small) donation.
  11. No problem at all, and I just realized re-reading my post - it was kinda bitchy! Not intended like that, jsut quick typed and sent, sorry Quote: Originally Posted by Cherielee okay sorry...lol...so its like a whole punch then... i get it...so that will still work for that other section that goes up and down kind of like a triangle i guess you would just punch it on both sides then right? is that link that was posted for ebay the same thing?
  12. Like I said in my post up top, a corner cutter works like a whole puncher that punches shapes. you put the corner of the paper between the two sections of the puncher, then you squeeze.
  13. I haven't done mine yet, so no suggestions on the type of paper. I just bought my corner cutter and perforator this weekend. I bought the cutterpede paper cutter, which has an addition you can use to perforate. The corner cutter I bought is just like a shape puncher (if I remmber right, I bought ALOT of stuff). I don't have a picture, but if you go to Michael's again, all of that should be in the aisle together with the whole punchers that have shapes (flowers, circles, etc). When I went to Michael's for this a few weeks ago, they didn't ahve ANYTHING, then this weekend a whole aisle, so perhaps they are updating their merchandise....

  17. Why thank you too then, Tammy! I certainly think even having a slight resemblence is a compliment, so I will take what I can get. Hhahaaa, I will even take the Matt Damon! Hhahahaa.
