  1. Great job, Shelley! You gift is like a treasure box, all kinds of things!
  2. In my opinion, you should go with the Riu. I am getting married at Beaches Boscobel and it is VERY frustrating. The girls on this forum get so much info from their WC. There are a few other girls on here either looking at or getting married at Beaches, but I still find that the Riu girls are way ahead of me in the planning. They have each other as well as an attentive WC. I wish I had the support on this forum that they had, so I say you could stick with the majority. What are your reasons for considering both? Perhaps knowing your reasons for these being your top 2 choices might help us better help you decide...
  3. I am absolutely in love with Alicia Key's "No One", but Matt refuses. I am working on it. If not that, I will let him pick something. Probably Frank Sinatra or a classic like that. I have a really hard time with this one and AK song is the only one that I think fits... Quote: Originally Posted by DRbride Wanted to see what you girls plan to use as your first dance song. I am in love with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo but I don't know if its appropriate or not. I have to read into the lyrics more. If you haven't heard that song go onto youtube and check it out. Its so beautiful!
  4. Jenn, you look awesome! 16 lbs really does make a difference! Congrats
  5. Yeah, me too. And I really wouldn't say it was a bad experience. And these were called eyelash extensions as well, supposed to last 3 wks, but not this time! I am so glad I tried it though! I wouldn't be opposed to trying it at another salon, cuz I think they looked great, but they didn't last as they should have.
  6. Michelle - here is the file that was too large to upload, let's see if this works... Michelle (beachbride0, I gathered all the information that I had on my work computer into one Word document. I am surprised at how little it is! I will have to go thru my files at home to see if I have anything additional to add, but in the meantime, you can pass this file along to your cousin. The Word doc is too large to upload, so I pasted below. If the pics don't go thru, I will update in a moment. Have a great thanksgiving! When I requested pictures of the ceremony sites, so I could decide which location I wanted, I was sent these pics… They didn’t help me much, b/c I wanted to see the set-up, but she refused to send me pics from someone else’s wedding. Also, when I asked for a pic of the beach setup, she sent me a pic of a strip of beach, like I hadn’t seen a beach before. I wanted to view the different choices as they would be decorated for a wedding…
  7. I tried to post a few times last week and kept getting timed out. Michelle's (beachbride0 cousin is looking into getting married at Beaches Boscobel, so I am going to post any info I have for her here. 8. Ok ladies. I have bad news. I haven't worn any makeup and I have been extremely gentle while washing and drying my face. I haven't even washed my eyes trying to be careful! BUT, almost every lash on my right side is gone. Ok, not every one, but about half. I have lost a few from my left. Day 1 - felt kinda cool, but also like a prostitute (they felt so obvious) Day 2 - wanted to rip them off Day 3 & 4 - they were comfortable and I thought they looked good Day 5 - cool, but I could see that some were lose when I looked real close Day 6 & 7 - dropping like flies I called last Wednesday to let them know that one fell out, I got voicemail and I left my work number and my cell number. No one called me back. You are supposed to get one refill for free, but I am not sure I want to bother refilling them. They are really annoying right now, half in and half out. Since they barely lasted 6 days, I don't think I would do this for Jamaica since I will be there 9. I am going to test out some other options though. Perhaps dyeing them or perming them. I am glad I did this and all, cuz I didn't wear makeup to the wedding, but honestly, I can apply them myself and get a day out of them as opposed to $80 and getting 5 days. I do sleep on my sides, but I tried to be extra careful. Oh well. I am glad I tried it, but I don't think I would do it again. Unless maybe I would try a different salon. Humpf.
  9. I brought my gifts to work today and if I can't get out a few minutes early, I will be mailing them tonight. If not tonight then def tomorrow! This is so fun!
  10. Looks like so much fun! I love your dress! I think the last pic is my fave though.
  11. I tried that dress on and absolutely loved it! I love the detail in the back towards the bottom. Great choice!
  12. For the BTB - Alyssa (Mrs.B200, she is always helpful, supportive and interested in everyone. For the Bride - Drea, for all the work she did with the SS! Btw ladies, thanks for the nom! It feels nice to know that people think I am a positive addition to the board! Happy Monday.
  13. Happy birthday, Shelley! I hope you have a wonderful day!
  14. wow, why in the world would he do that. I mean good for you and all! I bought $100 SpaFinder gift cert over the weekend at Cosctco for $80. Thought that was a good deal, but yours is even better!
  15. I am not wearing a bra. I am pretty small, so it doesn't matter for me and I also have a really deep v in my dress, but honestly, i hate bras!
  16. Thanks girls. It feels good to finally move something (no matter how tiny) into the CHECK column!
  17. Yeah, after I posted this I went to go shopping, cuz I was going to get more votives to decorate and there is nothing there... It's weird. I even tried the "contact us" link, but nothing. Damn, sorry ladies!
  18. So I can finally print a completed project! Well, completed until it's actually completed after the wedding and I add pics. Here are some pics of the different pages. I bought the book at 10 Thousand Villages, so it's a pretty cool book. (When I went to this store, I totally fell in love with so much stuff in there, that I added it to my registry!) I know it's nothing special, but I like it and am excited to have it completed!
