  1. I agree with most of what has been said above. I don't think you can invite people to the shower if you didn't invite them to the wedding. Each situation is different, so if you think they woulnd't be offended, then by all means, go ahead and invite them. But if it was me, I'd feel like Stephanie said above - I can't go to the shower, but you want a gift? I think it's up to the guests to decide whether they can afford to go to your wedding, but also, you might have wanted to keep the ceremony simple and intimate. Or if that wasn't your reason, you can always tell them that was the reason to excuse why the shower invite, but no wedding invite... Good luck! This is always a hard one...
  2. Oh, I went thru a jewelry making phase and spent SO much money in that store! I loved it! I stopped doing that when I moved in with Matt cuz there wasn't enough space. I need to get that stuff back out, thanks for the reminder! And they turned out great!!
  3. Try on dresses that you wouldn't think you would like (but never out of your price range!) That's all I have to offer. But the eating thing is great advice, often I was starving and grumpy and just wanted to leave the store after being their for hours!
  4. I am totally going to try this with dark chocolate!
  5. I want orange flip flops for the beach and then a different pair for the reception, so I am biased, cuz I am all about mixing it up. I say go for the blue!! Or honestly, for $22, buy them both and see what you think later, cuz I am sure you would wear both anyway!
  6. Tried to edit my previous post, but it was taking FOREVER! Here is the link to the thread of the black shirt, about halfway thru... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...770#post215317
  7. I think black dresses (or whatever you decide!) will be great! Someone (can't remember who, right now...) posted pics of their GM shirts the other day, they were black button-ups with a tropical flower on the one side. That could look really nice with woman wearing black dresses. Let me see if I can find the thread with the pic....
  8. Thanks alot Tami! I am now about to spend a few hundred on shoes. Well, it was going to happen sooner or later, right??
  9. Congrats, Jessica! I am glad Mommy and baby are doing well! Oh and Daddy too. So who won the "Aidan Stats" guessing game I wonder...
  10. Tirsha - that first dress is SUPER flattering to you! I liked the second too, but that first dress looked great on you. I love the material and the sweetheart neckline was killer.

  12. I purchased both, but the parasols only for my wedding party, the fans I bought 50 and figured I can figure out later if I need to order more. It can't hurt to have a bucket of parasols in case anyone else would use them, but I haven't done that. Perhaps I will go to China Town or soemthing one day to see if I can find some super cheap. I hadn't thought of the guests using them, but that pic of Tammy proves they would!
  13. Here are pics of their dresses and the parasol that I bought from Chinese Paper Lanterns | Parasols | Asian Decor | Luna Bazaar. The girls are using the orange (and I bought one for myself as well) and I bought the mini ones for the flowergirls to use, or perhaps to end up just as decorations... 14. Ana - congrats! I wish my man bought me a pup for Christmas, I bet he was so excited by your gift! She is beautiful!
  15. OMG, you all are freaking me out. Ok, I can't even read thru the lists cuz all my wedding info is on my work computer and I am scared to read and see all that I haven't done. But this is the month were I get serious! Going to go have a glass of wine or somethng to calm my racing heart!!!!!!!
  16. Wearing a veil is a personal preference and I originally thought I wasn't going to wear one, UNTIL i actually put one on and it was like WOW. It just completed the look to me. Oh and I LOVE your dress! So awesome. My dress is similar in that it is slimfitting and there is intricate beading and lace on the dress and I found that the simple cathedral veil is what complimented it most. It didn't over power the dress, so perhaps you could change the material and still use flowers. For me, I am a nervous person and I need something in my hands. Not sure if I will use flowers or a parasol for me as well, but I KNOW I will need something keeping my nervous hands busy during the ceremony...
  17. Lizz - I forgot to tell you that I am doing only parasols, if that relieves your fear of them not being enough at all...
  18. Just a personal preference, but I like the thicker straps on the 2nd pair...
  19. Hey Lizz, I think Jenetta (username JPMO) on the forum is the person whose pics made me watn parasols. Let me go search and see... Here is the link to her pics, but I don't have time to search thru them right now, and am getting yelled at to hurry up cuz we gots to go! Good luck! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7631
  20. Can someone zip and post the fonts for californian fb and bradley hand? I used them on the boarding pass invites I created, but don't have them on my home computer and I can't find them on any of the free websites! I figured I would try that before replacing them with another font...
  21. I had slight uncomfort last night, but everything feels/looks fine. I think I should be fine, cuz they said the irriation should last from a few minutes to 24 hours, and since I got it done yesterday at 12, 24 hours is almost up! Now lets see if I can remember this next month when I go and try not to be scared.
  22. Cool shirts! Mind if I ask where you got them? Oh, and I voted for #3, just cuz I liked it better. #1 was my 2nd choice, but that length is a hard one for me to pull off and personally I am not crazy about strapless, but it's a beautiful dress! #2, I don't like the assymetrical hemlines much. Good luck chooosing! Quote: Originally Posted by DanielleNDerek

I can't wait to see the results! Oh, but since it was in King of Prussia, I took my sis and the 2 kids ith me, so we could go shopping and the first 20 mintues or so where uncomfortable, I felt a little like I had fire ants in my pants, but then it passed and I feel fine now! We'll see how tomorrow etc goes.
  24. They look great! I love that someone made them. Does she do work for hire? I always love the letterp[ress, but they are outta my price range...
  25. Would you mind posting your order? Like how many of each and the final cost? You know we love details around here...
