  1. So cute, and I love the "beerly" also. Might have to borrow that and givce Matt something "manly". Hahahahaaa
  2. I bought my dress off the rack and received a 40% discount, but I will have to pay completely for alterations. It's still a better deal for my dress cuz the 40% discount was about $1,500 which is way more then my alterations would be. My point being, did they give you a sdiscount for purchasing the dress off the rack since it was the last one?
  3. I love the ide of something different, there are lots of threads that discuss this previously - do a search for signature scent. I still haven't found mine though....
  4. I love #3, super-flattering. #1 is one that I have always liked though, so go with your heart!
  5. I was thinking runners as well. I think I am going to make some for my AHR and they should be simple and cheap, jsut for a splash of color, cuz I am anti-all white. I might even do a runner on every other table, but a different color-adding thing to the other tables.
  6. I have 7 girls, but only 3 that are coming to Jamaica. Matt's men are still being worked out, he is supposed to have 6, but we think some might not make it. I asked by making "will you be my..." cards. they were super-cute! I made a different one for each girl that woudl suit her and I was really proud of them. I should ask them to take pics for me. Oh, that also worked really well fo rme cuz I asked everyone around last V-day.
  7. Yay!!! Way to go BDW with our addiction for it seems just about everything! hahahaaa, love this place, but seriously, it makes me spend TOO much money.
  8. I think I would stick with just eh cocnut aisle. That's too cool.
  9. I agree with what is said above, I like the idea of fabric blowing in the wind. Also, it's a beautiful gazebo, if that's the look you like, so it doesn't really need anything.
  10. So funny, Michelle, I found a scrapbook that was close to my colors and had orange hibiscus' on it. I decided that I am not traditional, so why not use it as my wedding scrapbook! So obviously, I think yours is a great idea!
  11. I think you should ask John. Having no flower girl and a ring bearer is fine, cz like said above - Rules go out the window for a DW! But he might enjoy being the center of attention and walking out alone (if he's anything like his mama!) or he might be more comfortable walking out with Mini. I think that is something that you could totally leavce to figure out until that day, to see what he will be comfortable with. Including children in your wedding, yo have to be prepared for them not to act the way you envisioned them.
  12. We are doing OOT bags, not favors for the destination part of the wedding. At our AHR we will be doing favors...
  13. I thnk it's a great idea! There are only size 7 and 8 left though. I think they would all enjoy wearing it for the day, even if it isn't their style. Then it can look pretty on their dresser!
  14. Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jac! I love being called creative even though mostly everything I do is not an original idea :-P. I just think the BD photos would totally shock him and he would never get over that i did that, so that is standing out to me as the best present I could give him. But could I actually do it?? I reallllly don't know. Let's see how WW works for me and then we'll see. Plus, I am kinda broke with all the money I been spending, nt sure if I could afford these photos....
  15. So I go back and forth whether I will do the BD photos or not. I HATE having my picture taken, so that would be a super hard thing for me to do. But Matt loves to have pics of me, he plasters them all over his station at work. I hate it, but I have learned to ignore it ;') Anyway, cuz he knows how I hate having my pic taken, I think he would be blown away if I did the BD photos for him. My opinion on this topic changes daily, so we'll just see how I feel about it after i've lost a few lbs and perhaps I will go for it. Wow, that was a lot of words to ger to my point!!! I see that most of the time, the gifts we buy for our hubbies-to-be are the BD photos or a watch. What is the norm that he would buy for you? My friend got a Luis Vuitton for her wedding, but other then on here and her, I have never heard of this tradition. So do you ask for something specific? Does he surprise you? Do you decide ahead of time that you are doing it??
  16. So funny, Tami. We just had this discussion at our Philly/NJ/NY outting the other day. I am more then interested in the answer!!!
  17. I agree - summer cocktail attire is what i was going to suggest. You could probably do something fun on your webpage or invite and have pics of cartoons wearing clothing you think is appropriate or something like that. I am not graphically inclined to make that stuff, but if you like the idea, i could probably do some searches for you tonight...
  18. Ohhh, I didn't realize you wre doing online only. I am doing the regular one and it's $15/week. Which is supposedly a deal. I wouldn't've thought that!
  19. I think 7 weeks is plenty of time to tighten up those areas, but I totally can picture what Angela said above and it should work for the back part of it. Doing push-ups or something should help with the armpit boobage. I hate that part of me too. :-(
  20. I think they look great! This is YOUR wedding, so do what you want. I really think that having a DW opens up the door to do things differently and whatever makes you happy is the best way to do it.
