  1. Thanks, Amy! I love the 1st ones on both of these. And I remember when you told us about this website and I actually check it often. I could spend SO much money on there!! There are tons of cute and inexpensive shoes, but nothing had jumped out at me before. I think I love the 1st link from the second one you posted though. 2. We are having ours at a Chinese/Japanese place, so I thought that people might like to know what it is. Also, the place only uses white or mauve tablecloths, so I am going to make menus as a way to add color on the white tables. We may also make table runners, but I def want to do menus. Anyway, my point is, I dont think it's necessary, but if it's something you would like to do to dress up the seats. I think it's a great idea. I only been to a wedding once were there was a menu card and it is def a nice touch.
  3. Lisa - OMG that is the best idea I ever heard. A "stock the bar party". I want one!!! I am telling my friends.
  4. Too funny. Oh, did I say funny? cuz that wasn't funny at all, and I was NOT laughing, Catherine. [wink, wink]
  5. Can I just nominate all the active members? The longer I am on here, the harder this choice is! Heidi and Morgan are always great helps when it comes to DIY or graphic-stuff. Trisha (tlseege) and Corey (coreyphil) spent alot of time gathering info for the discounted pashminas. For brides... Jamy (starchild) always has great advice and knows just how to say sensitive things in response without offending anyone. (That is a talent, I do NOT have!) TammyB is so active and offers advice freely. AnnR is forever helping people! Is Tammy (host) nominate-able? Cuz damn, this forum is all thanks to her and I am grateful everyday. I know there are others that help me out on a daily basis, but can onlywrite so many. Good luck, ladies!
  6. I think you should send an email to all four (mom's and friends) with their phone numbers and ask them to contact each other to plan it out, since you don't want to have 3 separate showers. Sometimes people just need some guidance or a door opened to them on what they should be doing.
  7. Thanks everyone for the kind responses! Morgan, I've tried zappos a few times and the sorting by color is awesome! But they are usually on the more expensive side. I figured to check one more time (or lots of mroe times!) until I find the pair I want for the reception... Quote: Originally Posted by Morgan Have you tried zaapos to sort by color? I am thinking that I will try to make my own, cuz first of, they were HUGE, but they also didn't look that great. Quote: Originally Posted by Lizz Carly, I did get them. I got a mixed bag of about 12 flowers and I honestly can't remember what they are. As soon as I unpack that box (hopefully sometime this week!!!!), I will let you know. Amy - I've been looking everywhere!!! Orange is seriously a hard color to find. But I figured to go cheap for the beach shoes so if I have to spend alot on the reception shoes, it kinda equals out. Smart thinking, huh? Quote: Originally Posted by amy&andy08 So cute! Now we will have to help you find some sexy orange stillettos...hmmmm.....Good call on getting the cheaper ones!!!
  8. Love, love, love "turn your lights down low"!!!! This thread is def getting re-visited when I get home tonight.... Matt and I talked about doing all reggae in Jamaica and doing the more traditional at out AHR. Quote: Originally Posted by starchild Turn Your Lights Down Low . . . love that remix. 9. Trisha - holy shit that blows! There is always David's. There are so many nice dresses there that you can buy right off the rack. So many more then when I went shopping last year anyway, there was like 2 DW styles. I am so sorry that happened to you! Keep us updated and let us know how we can help.
  10. Congrats, Alyssa! Geez, I remember when you joined [sniff sniff], how much you've grown!
  11. I think you can do whatever you want on your wedding day. There was a bride on here a few months ago who wore a red dress.
  12. Well, still don't know how many people we will have, but here are some of my inspiration photos. I bought a bunch of these votives... LOVE THIS ONE! I have a few more, but didn't want to post too many. I think I saved these photos from people on this site, so thanks!
  13. Of course you are still allowed to be a member! So excited that you guys worked out a date! What will you do about your dress? Will you still keep that one?
  14. Thanks ladies! Lizz - I keep meaning to ask you, did you get and like your flowers? I am not crazy about mine, but I have ot mess around and see how they look with a semi-nice hair do. Did you get hibiscus as well? I think I might have to look for an orchid one, they are always my faves.
  15. Rachel, she had a bunch of colors. I will let you know what I think of them when I get them in person.
  16. Yeah, I am happy. I originally wanted ones that wre the same style, but only nicer looking, if that makes sense. But whatever. They are cheap and now they are off my list of to do's!
  17. I never knew einvite was with Costco! That is where I had originally feel in love with my invtes!
  18. So I bought a pair of flat sandals for the ceremony and I am so happy at the price. I was previously in love with a pair that were $155 which was just never going to happen, then I came across these on ebay and they are cute. If I don't like them with my dress, they are cute anyway! And they can be worn with the strap or without. Now I just need to find reception shoes with a bit of a heel. In orange too, preferably, which has been the roblem finding anything cute! eBay Store - Betty's Fine Mart: ACCESORIES, SIZE 7 - 7.5, SIZE 8 - 8.5
  19. Awesome! I joined, but really need to know recipes since cooking doesn't come natrually to me.
  20. Sent you some... Quote: Originally Posted by LadyCheese Can anyone send me points? I cant open either template. What are these points anyhow? Thx
  21. It's beautiful, congrats! Be sure to post pics as soon as you get your camera from MOH's house...
  22. I made a scrapbook style guestbook to stick polaroid photos in. Purchased a few polariods at a thrift shop and figured to assign a few people to take photo.s
