I made mine about this time last year - since it is so close to v-day, i did them as a fake out to "will you be my valentine". I decorated the front like it was a v-day card and ripped off a vertical section about 1/2 inch thick to give it texture and give a peak at the textured paper I used on the inside. the front said "will you be my" and then had a big heart and "..." then on the inside, it said "BRIDESMAID!" and I put in little scrapbook dresses on top of the decorative paper and then wrote a personal note to each of them on the left hand side of the card. they were super cute and the girls all loved them. Maybe Jackee (quelmoffett) still has hers and can post a pic??

I think that dress is super cute! But I know whaty ou mean about legs - certain lengths are hard to pull off. I say buy it and worse comes to worse, you jsut return! But at least then you will know if it's right for you.

Ya know, I couldn't even tell you the favors at the last 8 or so weddings that Matt and I went ot last year. I hate to say that, b/c I am totally making my favors and going to be putting alot of effort into them, but people hardly notice them! I didn't even reember until we were home that I forgot to grab mine for all the weddings we went to last year! (Mighta been the over-indulgence in the drinky-drinks though)

I don't have any ideas, but I know EXACTLY what you mean. I do everything and choose everything for the wedding, so when Matt shows some interest, I try to let him do something. Problem is, he doesn't do it "right". Right being the way I want it done. It's hard cuz we have spent so much time and energy from day one planning every little part and they decide one day, hey it would be fun to do "this" and have no idea how much you have already involved yourself in the other idea! Ughh. I will think and see if I can come up with something for you...

Sounds good! My sister and I made a few batches, but we made the soap from scratch with lye and all the oils. We wrapped them in wax paper and tied a wrappia (sp?) ribbon around them. They looked super cute and we got all great responses from everyone we gave them to. I think we are doing this for my shower gifts since we have over 100 peeps on the list (ridic, I know!), and we will use the extras in the OOT bags. It was alot of fun and so rewarding!

Perhaps I don't know how to use it the right way, but I ended up going back to my trusty old spreadsheet. I wanted to be able to mark people as under 21, or under 10, and man, woman (for shower info) and whatnot and just found excel to be so much easier for my needs. I was really hoping this was the software for me too, but it ended up not being it...

I can't imagine that would be comfortable. And I agree with what others have said, you have to have the heritage to pull it off. My cousins a bagpiper and he loves to wear his kilt and whole outfit. My fam is pretty gung-ho Irish. But I can't imagine a bunch of guys who never wore a kilt before, comfortalbe wearing one. Give it some time, see if he drops it.

I think he needs to know and you are right, he IS family now! He isn't just your FI's fam, but your's and he has a right to know. I like what has been said about waiting until after Mexico so uyou can have the wonderful drama-free wedding you deserve. Then let her know that you can't deal with it and you are telling him. Let her either step up or make you take the heat. Keep in mind that the saying "don't shoot the messenger" is there for a reason though. The FBIL will probably be mad at you. But the girl admitted that it wasn't the first time, so if I were you, I would def tell. We are grown-ups now (booooo, I know!), but we are and he should know what she does b/c it totally affects him.
