  1. Thanks all for the comments! Christine - really, they aren't too big? The first few show small like I wanted, but the second batch are so large they stretch my screen!
  2. Honestly, I am not either! (the sewing type, that is) I just found this crafitness in me a few years ago and have been experimenting with various things and having fun while doing it. Most of the time anyway. Thank you all for the continuos good comments. It feels so good to complete a project and have others think you did a great job! 3. I will have to do some searches for embroidery... I bet Etsy has some sellers that could make me tags. On to the hunt (SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING, SO BUSY!) Edited to add Etsy seller: Etsy :: BellaMental :: Sew In Fabric Tags for your crafts, clothing, etc. AWESOME!! I am convo-ing her now. Ok, her's are sew on only. I want iron on, so found a few more. Going to check themout. In case anyone else is interested, here is the search link, hope it works. Etsy :: Search Results
  4. Janet - I just busted out laughing as his fat ass. Hahhahaahhaaa. I love animals.
  5. Oh Yari, that is such a hard day! My thoughts are with you.
  6. Aha! That makes complete sense now. D'oh. Quote: Originally Posted by timelsel TFS = Thanks for sharing
  7. I just had to post about this Etsy seller that I was dealing with. Sugar broke her collar and I wanted a pink one with rhinestones, cuz I like to get real girly things for Sug since she is such a manly looking dog. I found a little mini collar on etsy, so I asked the seller if she could make me one in a larger size. She was so nice and accommdating, communication was quick and always helpful. She posted a few different betls that matched what I wanted, I picked one and said I wanted it girly and 3 days later she is done and posted a pic for me to buy! Here is the link to her shop - Etsy :: greenbelts :: Handmade, Using 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Belts - but I figured I should post for all of you animal lovers. The price is great for a handmade custom piece. A collar like this that I was going to buy in the pet store was $60, and this is $40 including shipping. Here is what I bought: Etsy :: RESERVED FOR CARLY - Custom Girly Girl Dog Collar
  8. Me too, she could be the honorary ringbearere or flowergirl in case either of them ends up not doing their job. Lizz - I originally was going to get all fancy with the pashmina things and do a ribbon and hang tag or a round label. Then I got lazy and did the ribbon, and SO EASY! And I love the way they look too.
  9. I love the pet siggies! I actually always love to see any siggies. When someone doesn't have one, I always wonder what is wrong. Like I notices that Jamy's wasn't appearing in some other threads and I thought "oh no, is jamy leaving us" Thank goodness she isn't! (I saw in another post that she had to fix something...)
  10. Hmmm, what is TFS? Someone else just used it in another thread and I can't for the life of me figure it out...
  11. Darnit, I made all those photos message board sized in photobucket, WHY are they still HUGE!
  12. Here are the pashminas. I wrapped them in scraps from the flowergirl dresses and some pink ribbon that I bought that I thought would wrap all 12, but it only made 4! Hhahahahahaa. The ring bearer shells. I am not sure which one I will use. The small one photographed way better, but in person the large one looked better... Dilemmas. Small Large Flower girl bucket. If I keep it this way, I will be redoing it to make it neater, this was a trial.
  13. So, Jill (my sis/MOH) finished lots of our projects this weekend and I am going to post some pics. The flowergirl dresses,I am posting a series, cuz B did not want her picture taken and I just think it's hysterical. This pic, the orange dress is missing it's sash, but ti will match the underskirt. Here is the series of pics that I love... I esp love the pic of Liam trying to make her laugh, flashing her. Makes me laugh everytime I see it. Here are the Old Navy flip flops that I made for the BM's to wear on the beach if they want. It's just ribbon hot glued on the straps. I have a big sparkle button to attach where they two sides join, but I can't figure out how to get it there, so they might stay as is.
  14. Ummmm, this is hard. Good luck ladies!
  15. Oh boy, you guys are all so wonderful. I couldn't quote you all for this response, so as a big response, THANK YOU ALL! The comments really make me feel better. I mean I like the bags and all, some have some sloppy parts, but I think it's the fact that I made them that makes them ok. You know, part of the charm of a handmade item. I am actually glad I did complete the bags. A week or so ago, I was running into all kinds of sewing machine problems and was feeling stressed out and I wanted to quit and go buy dollar store bags or something. But Jill wouldn't let me, so I have to thank her for pushing me. I am going to be posting a few of our handmade things today, since I just took the pictures last night... Jenna - I can gather some of the measurements for you and write up some quick directions, but not sure if I will be able to do that before I leave. Send me a PM if you don't hear from me during next week and I can do it when I get back a MARRIED WOMAN! Quote: Originally Posted by jenna2777 too cute! I love them! Rach - that's a great idea. I hadn't thought of adding a tag. Hmmmm, now what should it say? Like just a hang tag? Oooh, what about a clear mailing label that I could stick on the interior and they can them remove? Or is that corny? Quote: Originally Posted by LC_Rachel Oh those are so beautiful Carly! I never have sewn before except at Christmas I made some heavy baby dolls for my neice and nephew and Matt's niece. So I guess I have sewn before, once. But still proud of myself! 16. I can not beleive it, but I finally finished sewing my OOT bags. We only needed 12 of them, but I have never sewn before and I wasn't working from a pattern, just my sister and I figuring out what to do as we went. So I am super proud of myself for getting them done! If I could do it over, I wouldn't do so many, cuz it really took alot of time. Like ALOT. (We were originally planning on about 24 bags, so we have 2 different prints to be the main bag, and the lining and straps were going to be blue, orange or pink. Since we only needed 12, and we had already had all the orange and pink cut, we vetoed the blue.) Most of the bags have an interior lining that matched the straps, but on some of the pink bags, we used pink straps and orange lining to fun it up a bit. Here are some pictures.
  17. Oh, Alyssa, I am so sorry for your family and your aunt. My thoughts are with you.
  18. I am still a tentative yes. I have a surprise party to go to tonight in NJ, so it depends on if I am hungover or feel like paying $3.60/gallon for gas to travel back! There are also some wedding chores that need to be completed this weekend, so if I sleepover Jackee's tonight, I might make it for a bit, but I am just not sure at all still. I don't think you all need to reschedule, but I will def try to make the next if I can't make this one.
  19. Wow, tragic story, on all accounts really. I will have to do some reading on this over the weekend.
  20. That's funny! That could be a macro (me thinky anyway), but that class was like a year ago and I haven't used it. Maybe I will play around (you know in all the free time before my wedding in 3 weeks!) Quote: Originally Posted by becks Hmmm... 21. That's cuz you're a whore!!! (Now don't anyone go getting mad at me, this in in reference to Celina's thread from earlier today and some punk little girl.) Quote: Originally Posted by SoontobeMrsE Abbie, I was like oooooooooohhhhh...softer shinier poop! I am all about the sparkles!
  22. Ahhhh. We never applied for a marriage license cuz that is all supposed to be done by the resort for us, since we are having our legal ceremony in JA. But I am going to check it out anyway. Might as well find out with 3 weeks to go, if something isn't right! 23. Becks, you are awesome. How many times this week do i need to say that?? Ok, I am sure I totally missed this somewhere else, but what do you need to prepare to change your name? I thought I would just change it when I got back...
  24. No runs for me anyway. It was just more consistent. Like while I was on it, 10 am everyday was a definite and then various other times thru out the day. The 10 am is still kinda consistant since I've stopped. Generally, it just regulates you bowels and gets things moving. It doesn't give you diarhhea. Although, if I remember right, I think it says that the first few days of your body getting acclimated might be runnier then usual. Oh and regarding someone comments on the taste - at first I didn't think it was that bad, but then I came to dread it every morning. The same with the tea. I thought it tasted ok, but then I started to hate it. I dumped the powder into a half full water bottle and shook like crazy and then gulped it all down as quick as possible. Matt likes it mixed with OJ. For the tea, it wasn't so much the taste of the tea as the after-taste. Then again, I don't like drinking hot drinks...
  25. It all looks great, Steph! Everything ties together and wow your cereony site is so cool!
