  1. Ok, so I forgot to take a picture, but I made up a quick template to show how I did them. I am attaching it in PowerPoint and also as a picture. I haven't verified that the sizing was right, so if you choose to use this template, verify first that the page is broken into even 3rds. Boarding Pass Envelope Template.ppt
  2. Erin - that's great, thanks! And I think I WILL use the cookie monster saying if we buy these cookies! That would just crack me up.
  3. Wow, Shandra, that really sucks. I am not sure if 2 weeks will be enough time though! Is there anyway to get him to agree? What about getting his mom involoved? If you have a good relationship with her, she might be able to get him to be reasonable. So sorry that he is putting you thru the wringer.
  4. Crap, I was supposed to take a picture of it wasn't I. I will TRY to remember to take a pic when I get home tonight or tomorrow morning and I will post. Cuz I didn't have a "template" online, I cut out a piece of cardboard and can't figure out how to explain it. Sorry!!
  5. Welcome home, Sarah! Glad to hear you had a wonderful and relaxing vacation! Omg, Jackson is just the cutest little boy! I could eat him up!
  6. Hahhaaaa, great quotes/saying girls! Perhaps I will do this no matter what other favor I decide on. Love the cookie monster one! And Rebecca - I just knew that you would have some great ones to add. If Morgan wasn't busy getting married and whatnot, she'd probably be writing funny shit about ferrets.
  7. Congrats, Morgan! You guys look so happy! And that's pretty cool and memorable that Mike got to be a witness for another couple. Love the fake corsages and bouquets.
  8. Honeslty, I really don't know! I think a variety of stuff is good though, so IF we get these cookies, I can mix'em up.
  9. Congrats ladies! Couldn't think of 2 more deserving people!
  10. Oh, Angela! You are going to have such a beautiful wedding! Have a wonderful time!
  11. So my AHR is in just under a month and I still have no idea what I would like to do for a favor. An idea that is being considered includes personalized fortune cookies. The site that I found allows 3 free sayings. (I might pay to include more if I go this way). So I was hoping that you guys could help me pick some cool fortune sayings IF we go this route. Any ideas?
  12. OMG, Becks, that is awesome. I am cracking up. Happy legal tomorrow, Morgan!
  13. Wow, they look great, Amy! I think that's my favorite non-color bouquet. I am usually all about color, but I am loving what you picked. I would think they shoudl get ot you in time. Can you pay extra for quick shipment? Is someone coming down after you guys? (I forgot my wedding dress, so my sister and mom brought it down the next day, since Matt and I left a day earlier then everyone else.)
  14. Well, we are still going to have our own, but we are going to have a larger OURS account. I hope to not have to work after we decide to have children in a few years, so I think getting an idea of the bigger picture financially now, isn't a bad idea. But we will def still keep out own accounts. It's hard to decide how much each person can contribute and keep it equal w/o having our finances combined. Since our INS is now covered by my work for a much cheaper price then he paid before, but it decreases my amount of take home money. So things like that, it would just be easier if we looked at our bills combined to an extent. I feel like I am babbling, I hope that made sense. I don't think that is bad at all, and I actually think it's much more common now then it used to be. Quote: Originally Posted by melglnh2o You girls are all so funny. 15. Amy, you did a great job pulling everything together. I love so much of it, that I can't even begin to list them. Although, holy hotness with teh BD photos! I don't remember seeing them before, but those are smoking.
  16. Doesn't that drive you crazy? Matt leaves his boxers everywhere. Like seriously, what reason do you have to be taking your boxers off in the hallway if it isn't cuz we are being naughty together? I never understood that one. His socks and underware are removed and left wherever they came off. Sometime next to the bed, sometimes next to the hamper, sometimes in the bathroom, sometimes in the living room, sometimes in the kitchen! I just accept it, and scoop them up and move on...there is really no point fighting about it... The only problem is, since we got our puppy, all the socks and underware now have tiny holes in them from the puppy chewing on the stinkyness, so he needs all new under clothes. Good news is, the puppy is training my FI to put this socks in the hamper! YEA!!!!
  17. Well, it's only been 3 weeks or so, but we lived together for 1.5 years before we married, so the only thing I foresee changing is that we are combining our money more now. Haven't encountered any problems yet, but I am sure we will. He is a saver. Like if he wants to buy a car, he saves and saves until he can buy it flat out. I am a spender, like if I have an extra $300 unbudgeted in my account that month, I will quickly find something that I "need". Our bed is a major issue though. He has a full sized tempurpedic. I HATE it. It feels like you are sleeping in wet cement. My hips and shoulders have ached since I moved in with him. It's also frigging small. He's a clingy sleeper and I am not, so it's hard for us. I liked to have the OPTION to snuggle, not forced to cuz the bed isn't big enough. We cannot wait til we buy a house and can get a HUGE bed!
  18. I say household stuff, cuz we are two adults who have once lived on our own, now living in a small apartment. So it is never neat. Things being put away, means piled neatly against the wall or on the counter or whereever. That bugs that shit out of me. I am not a clean freak, but I need order, and it drives me crazy. He doesn't care one bit and would live in his piles for as long as I let him. But if Matt were taking this poll, he would probably say sex. Cuz it is just never enough for him. (Except when we were in JA and I was a horny toad and he wasn't!)
  19. Rach - you summed it up perfectly. I wouldn't be offended at all for everything that she listed above. I actually had someone write in a card that part of their gift to us is going to be to blow up a picture and have it framed for us. So it's kinda the same thing...
  20. I haven't mailed any of mine yet, but I have ordered two different sets from VP and I think the quality is great for the price of shipping. Perhaps they have changed the paper they use? Or perhaps they have heavier postcards as the norm in Canada??
  21. I totally knew who you meant, even before I read "can you guess?". hahahahahahhaaa Funny thing is, I opened it and was looking at the guys tie, like huh? Before I noticed what was going on next to him. hahhaahahaa Quote: Originally Posted by Jacqueline oh so funny. a friend just sent that to me last week. it reminds me of my one flashy tacky friend. love her but shes def tacky. 22. I dont know. I mean, if people can do honeymoon registries and that isn't tacky, then I wouldn't see how this is.... But what if you only got like $50 towards this photog? Then you are commited to them and they are out of your budget. What would you do then?? ETA: I see now that you never said they were out of your budget, so my comment might not apply, but I guess still something to think about...
