  3. I am so jealous of your beautiful dark and shiny hair. It's probably thick too, right? I always wanted to have dark shiny hair, but it just doesn't look right. But it looks fun, you have beautiful families.
  4. She was a guest. But if I had met her earlier, she probably would've been my photog. I was kinda disappointed in him, but we'll see how the photos turned out.
  5. Holy crap, you are organized, Rebecca! You did an amazing job, I don't think there is anything you left out!
  6. Oh my, only pne picture? That is TORTURE-OUS! Glad everything went well though, Ab, you deserve the best!
  7. Abbie, so happy that everything went well! I can't wait to see more pics!
  8. Maura, I've missed so much over the past week! I love the pictures, you are absolutely beautiful and look SO happy! My fave pic though is of Jose, the one where he is just looking at the camera with a HUGE smile on his face. It's adorable how happy he is. Oh, and I also loves your dress, very appropriate.
  9. Thanks ladies! It was great. There were a few things that I wish I had remembered to do, or had worked out differently, but all in all, I think it was great! The hardest thing I have ever done in my life was the intro part. It was like a nightmare. I swear it scared the shit out of me. I hate being center of attention and Matt loves it, so it was really hard. I cried like a baby. Most people thought i was crying cuz I was sentimental, but really it was cuz I was terrified. That probably sounds stupid, but I honestly think it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. And then go right into our first dance, I was a mess! But it is over and I (hopefully) never have to do that again! The other bad part was that my Mom's laptop that was supposed to play the DVD slideshow into the projection screen would NOT play the dvd. We don't know why, cuz it worked before and after, but it just wouldn't do it there. So nobody got to see the slideshow that Melissa made for us. That's kinda dissappointing, so I was thinking of burning a few copies for our families and the people that would enjoy seeing it at least once. Other then that, it was really pretty perfect. The restaurant (Chinese/Japanese place) looked great, the food was delicious. My favors were a hit! I don't have any photos yet, but I will post as soon as I get some. Oh, I also realized the next day when we were opening cards that there were so many people out of the 280+ people that I missed talking to! I thought I was doing well making my rounds, but there were quite a few people that I didn't get to. So I feel like a jerk about that, especially cuz I really felt like I was making an effort the night of! I was lucky enough to have 3 members of the forum at my reception: Jacqueline - whom most of you know was one of my bridesmaids, Danielle - dbld78 on here, and Kristy - my co-worker who's screen name is Trixilalas. Kristy isn't that active now, but I am sure she will be soon, since they are planning their wedding for next September.
  10. We did have a priviate reception held on the Venetian Terrace. We chose one entree for everyone, but found out the day of that we could've given them a choice, the resort would just need to know ahead of time what the choices were. I am not sure about the kids menu, I think it was probably the same, although I am sure they would allow you some flexibility if you asked. We only had 3 little ones, and 2 of them will eat anything and 1 will eat nothing, so we weren't that concerned about it. Quote: Originally Posted by fifiblondie Hi Carly! I think it was like $350 for a few strands to total something like 24 lights. 11. Yeah, I know the feeling. But like said above, she needs to find out on her own. I think woman feel pressure to be with someone. Whether they are worthy or not. All you can do is be there for her and keep it honest.
  12. Hmmm, I agree with the other posters, can you tell us if you would be getting them exactly as shown colorwise?
  13. Wow, Ab, very thorough picture posting, now that's what we like to see! I am so excited for you and can't wait to hear how wonderful it all goes!
  14. Wow, Nikki, you sure are a beautiful girl! THey turned out great (eyebrow mishap and all, you can't even tell!). I also love your blue shoes!
  15. Hey Danielle, you were the first person I thought of when I woke up this morning. I hope all goes well today.
  16. I love love love #3, like I would love that to be my weddign dress, but I think MOrgan is right. A flowy dress is better in the water, so I change my vote to #1. I don't like #2 personally.
  17. Jenn, I really liked the beach pic that you didn't like. I think it's a really cute pic. Did it really take 5 months to build your book though? That seems excessively long.
  18. Congrats, Amy! I hope you had a wonderful day!
  19. Happy Anni, Jay and Karen! Hope you are enjoying Jamaica!
  20. So cute! I love the one where they are looking over their shoulders, and he has this big cheese smile on his face.
  21. Hahahahaa, no, I feel ya. I was def not looking forward to it. It was very stressful. I wish I had done it w/o Matt, I think it would've been alot less stressful to do alone, or with my sister. Cuz in the end, he really doesn't care what is in his house, but I thought he would! I didn't want him to think that everything was mine and I didn't care what he wanted. But really, he doesn't! My favorite registry is Bed Bath & Beyond for practical reasons (plus they give cash back on gifts bought from your registry). But my favorite for random items, was def Ten Thousand Villages. I just love all their stuff!
