  1. Yay! I love me some teaser pics! She looked so gorgeous and SO happy! I love the photo of her looking down, the veil looks incredible in it. Oh and I also like the one where Chris is holding her ass (I think it's the last one). Only cuz I know Matt kept doing that to me and boys are all the same! hahahaa.
  2. Nicole - I am going to email a friend of mine who is getting married this October for some pics. She is doing the same theme as you - country, but not country/country. I know she is using blue pumpkins hollowed out with candles inside for her centerpieces, but I am not sure what that really looks like. Sounds cool though! I will let you know if I get any pictures or ideas back from her...
  3. I was actually going to make mine as well, but had my seamstress make it. I totally advise that! I bought like 3 yards of fabric, 108" wide, cuz I wanted a cathedral length (108"), but I never got around to making mine, so on one of my fittings, I asked me seamstress and she charged me $25! What a steal! To clarify, I had already bought the fabric from Joann's, so the $25 was her fee for making it. I think you could totally make it yourself though, I just ran out of time.
  4. I know, great post for a Monday, rgiht? I wish I could get an email of animals dressed up in new costumes every morning! Now that would be a fn start to each day!
  5. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE! This one made me lol and I saved it to make itmy desktop background! So funny!
  6. Thank you all for the comments! It is nice to see the prof shots, in most of the friend/family photos that I have seen, I looked like a disheveled drunken mess. So seeing these makes me feel a little better about the night! I did have 2 set of BM's, the girls with the printed dresses are from JA - my sister, Matt's sis and Jacqueline. Then the pink dresses are my 4 friends that I've had for like a billion years, that couldn't make it to JA for various reasons, so they were my honorary bridesmaids and contributed to my shower, so I wanted them included in the AHR. Since if I had a regular wedding, they def would've been involved 100%. And I hadn't seen the dresses until they all showed up for pics, so I am reallllly happy that they looked as good together as they did! Quote: Originally Posted by JUSTUSTWO Love your pics Carly! 7. I know, Erin. it's hard. I finally realized the other day that IT'S ALL OVER. And I am glad and all, but I reallllllly love my dress and I will never wear it agin! It makes me want to cry. My mom told me to cut it down to a cocktail dress, but I dont know if I could. I love love love it! Ugh. Oh and I totally know what you are going to be doing with yourself over the next few months, you new homeowne you! You've moved right onto the next project, like I wanted to do and Matt won't let me. BOOOOOO! Quote: Originally Posted by ErinB Carly!!!! Those are great. I love the portraits of you and Matt in the gazebo. I teared up looking at the ones of the first dance. 8. It sure is! Hahahahaaa, I didn't even have to check the photo, I knew which one you meant. That's my cousin Bobby and he played the bagpipes for us as a surprise for Matt. I am the irish one, but Matt loves the bagpipes, go figure. So I surprised him with my cousin. But Bobby's favorite part of wearing the kilt and playing the babpipes are the girls are always checking underneath! Hahahahaa, so yeah, once I got drunk, I totally was flashing him everywhere. The photog didn't include all the photos I guess, cuz there had to be some front shots. They kept telling me I had to lift it SLOWER for the picture to get taken! hahahahaaa. Good times. 9. I know, he's such a punk. He's like a little bratty kid, you love him, but half the time you want to wring his little neck.
  10. I think the way you worded your post, you've already answered the question! Do it, you said it's so you. Ok, so I went back and read comments after I voted and wrote this, and noticed the plane. Totally didn't see it at first, thought it was just the wreckage along the cake at the top. I agree that switching it out for a jeep is a better idea then the plane.
  11. Maura, I hope you had a wonderful wedding day! Can't wait to hear all about it!
  12. Hope you had a wonderful wedding day, Rebecca! I can't wait ot hear all about it and if niblets enjoyed himself.
  13. Finally got back my professional photos from the AHR on July 12th. Here is the slideshow with over 400 photos. It is everything the photog gave me, it seemed like not much, but there aren't that many bad ones, so I guess he probably already weeded those ones out. Anyway, for the most part, I think they are great! Sometimes, I think it's obvious that I put on a few lbs since JA, but whatever. Enjoy! 14. So, I just had to post this pic of one my parents Boston's. Really, I should say my Dad's boston, since they are like connected at the hip (or whatever). His name is Sonny (mostly called Sonnyboy) and he loved to get into the trash. Most of the time we want to strangle him, cuz we swear he opens the door, tears it all up and pretends he didn't do it. This time there was no denying...
  15. Erin, that's fantastic! I am so excited for you! And glad that woman came to her senses and accepted your offer!
  16. I hope I've helped! If you (or anyone else) has any other questions, post them here, so that everyone can see the answers and hopefully help each other out along the way. Good luck with the rest of your planning! My wedding planner seems to have a certain set of quotes she can use, and that is what I get. I was hoping you could help. 1. Is there a bar that is better suited for bachelor party? One that is open later or one that has more entertainment that men may prefer? Hmmm. I would have to say the bar by the pool would be the best for a bachelor party, but it is only open until 12. I think it would be the best cuz they have sportscenter on nonstop. After 12, they could go to the Piano Bar (my suggestion) or the Disco. I think the Disco was pretty gross and we only went there one night, however, it did end up being one of our funnest nights. (That might be b/c it was the only night with all of my guests partying besides the wedding night, but we did have fun.) The Piano Bar was nice and the bartenders there did bar tricks (Godfrey and Marcelo, we only hung out with Godfrey and he was great.) Those are the only two bars open until 2am. There is also the Appleton Bar or something like that, and we never went there, it was kinda secluded and not that full, so that might be a place they could do the bachelor party and maybe have it to themselves kinda. I am not being much help here, but I figured telling you a bit about each bar can help you make the decision best for your group. 2. My future father-in-law is very set with the idea of having a rehearsal dinner. We are not willing to be charged or let him be charged for this dinner (we feel we are already spending enough money at the resort). If we did a late lunch (3pm) would it be easier to be seated in a restaurant? (I have been told that they don't take reservations, so I am trying to make this happen without them). If so, which one would you recommend for 14 people at that time of the day? How many people/rooms do you have booked? If you have 10 rooms booked, you should get a free welcome dinner, that perhaps you could have them turn into a rehearsal dinner? We only had 9, so we didn't get that. Regarding a 3pm rehearsal lunch, there are only a few places open for serving food at that time, so it might actually be harder. Will you want them to do an actual rehearsal or are you just trying to get a group meal together? we did a group meal one night with the entire group at The Venetian and we just put our names in and went to the bar while we waited for the table. I think it took less then an hour to get enough tables cleared for us. I think this information is posted in this thread, or in my review... So my point is, if you jsut want a group dinner, I think you could do that at regular time as long as you know that you will put your name in and wait. Oh we had about 25 people, so you group is much smaller and would probably be easier to accommodate. 3. My Aunts are having their 50 birthday while we are in Jamaica. We were hoping to have a cake at some point. Any recommendations on what might work? Jeez, I don't know what to say on this one, cuz we didn't look into that. I am sure you could arrange for the resort to make them a cake. Or you could have the servers surprise them with singing at the table and a regular dessert. I saw that happen a few times. But if you really want cake, I am sure they could do it for you since they do the wedding cakes too. I just don't know if htey would charge you a million dollars for it. Have you asked Cavel or Kamesha? I would think this would be a straightforward question, but I guess nothing is straightforward with them is it... Thanks so much for taking the time to answer questions. It helps... a lot!
  17. I just purchase some Baggu's and 2 water canteens from amazon. Oh and some cloth napkins. We use LOTS of papertowels, so making that change will def be a hard one for us, but I am willig to try!
  18. Wow, that's alot of info. I was just telling Matt at dinner the other night that I would like to make an effort to start living a little more "green". The thread started by Amy a few weeks ago, made me realize how little I really do and how just doing a little something would have an effect. Thanks for posting Alyssa.
  19. Yay, Christina! I hope your wedding day is all you dreamed it would be!
  20. Oh come on, you know I don't remember shit. Like, we went out to breakfast?? Don't remember. I remember the deck bar that we went to the 1st time I went, then a different deck bar that Kristen worked at, but breakfast? I was probably too hungover.

I am picking up the AHR photos today, so this is the best I can do for now.
  22. I will miss you, Jac!! Who is going to email back and forth with me and make me laugh every day! Have a great time!
