  1. I just love your house, Erin. It's so darn cute! Congrats! And I am so glad that the inspections went well for you guys!
  2. My colors were mainly blue and orange, and fuschia was added later. Mostly b/c of the BM dresses that we found. But we used more of a turquoise/sky blue color. Actually, it kinda varied on everything. Orange was supposed to be my main color.
  3. I wouldn't, but that's just me. Do you have a friend who has really nice handwriting, or even printing? With the fancy paint pens, you can make just about any writing look good. I would ask your aunt to test 1 or 2 out and see how she feels about it then. Do you have extras?
  4. Ohhh, I remmber Jamy (starchild) posted one of her friends got married someplace really cool. Fire something? I am drawing a blank, but will see if I can find the post. Jamy's Fire of Valley post
  5. OMG. We were supposed to wait until we buy a house before we get a new bed, but i HATE his stupid tempurpedic bed witha passion. I might have to tell him about this sale.
  6. Oh shilz, I didn't realize that we cuold vote for multiple dates! Going to add the others i am available. Damn, I can't revote. Oh well.
  7. Ok, I voted for Sept 24th, even though it's really the 28th (A - can you fix that??) cuz it would be great if Alyssa could be there. I am unavailable for the August dates, but ok for most of the September dates...
  8. Everything looks so great and professional. I can't beleive your time is almost here! I can NOT wait to see all of your photos. I love when a BDW friend gets married, espcially one I've met in person, cuz it seems more "real" and let "internet-friend-y". Even though that's how most of us are on here anyway.
  9. Awwww, Glenda! I totally missed your birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day!!
  10. Yeah, I don't know the best location yet, since NY people would like to come too. Alyssa - if you could add the poll to show Saturdays and Sundays for the next few weeks, I guess? I dont know what's better for everyone...
  11. Lizz - I am not 100% sure, but when Matt and I talked about it before, he said it was the whole pre-cana thing. I tried to call our church, but they never returned my call. So I decide to leave this up to him since he's the one that cares. But def post if you find out what it is!
  12. Hmmmm, how can I add a poll? I tried to edit my first response, but nada.
  13. Will you already be legally married? I am not sure about before, but Matt and I are still going to be doing that at some point. He wants it blessed by the church. We had all of our rings blessed by the minister during the ceremony in JA though... I seem to remember that you can get priests to bless items at church anyway, so perhaps if you called your church they could help you out.
  14. Oh crap, just realized Alyssa gets married in September, maybe it should wait until she gets back...
  15. So it's been a while (I think anyway) since we tried to get together, anyone available in September? For whatever.
  16. You only have to pay extra if you want a "private" reception. I had the same argument, but in the end, I am really glad I did the private reception. It made it more real or something. That time was dedicated to us and our families and friends without the intrusion of other guests. Not that guests are an intrusion or anything, but you know what i mean. I def recommend it depending on the number of guests that you have. We had about 25 guests, so at $75/each it was still under $2,000.
  17. I am pretty sure you'd be better off just posting a pic or at least a description in this thread. Do you have a photobucket account? If not, you can create one easily and upload the pic(s) there and then copy and paste the IMG code here.
  18. Ok, my friend also just told me that the flameless tealight candles are in the LTD Commodoties Magazine winter issue $5.95 for 12. I have no idea what that magazine is, but I found it online - 12-Pc. LED Everlasting Tea Lights - LTD Commodities
  19. Alyssa - I will have to go check out the ones tha tyou pointed out, but I know exactly what you mean about them not being great shots to change to b&w. Most of them are so pretty cuz of the color... Rach - that gazebo one was the one I was thinking. I was trying last night to change it to sepia or b&w and leave the flowers colored, but I couldn't figure it out. Danielle - so glad you guys had a great time! I know I did, I just wish I hadn't gotten SO drunk. But whatever. Tammi - awwwww thanks!
  20. OMG, funny you should say that A, cuz I put on my comfy "fat" jeans yesterday. Well, they sure are fat, I had to squeeze my fat ass and thighs into them! I am going out tonight to buy running shoes and going to start walking every night and work my way up to running. Back to the photos though, did any stand out as perfect for a thank you card? I was hoping to change it to b&w and give it an aged look (kinda like the cards that you would see in CVS or something), but most of the ones of me and Matt look so good cuz of the color, making them b&w would lose the beauty in the picture.
  21. How do I insert a webpage and then rename it? Is that function down? I asked Lauren earlier, but it doesn't seem to be working for me... She said something along the lines of: - click on the globe and type in webpage - click ok - then the link would appear in red and blue - I should not do anything, except start typing whatever I want the link to be named and it will overwrite it If this isn't making sense, I was trying to get my link to read "Carly & Matt's wedding website" instead of OurWeddingDay.Com. Hope that all makes sense! But waht happens when I follow the directions is that it just shows up exactly as I typed it into the window and doesn't allow me to rename it a personalized name. Help please!
  22. Ok, so I just went back and looked at them again, and I stand behind the buck toothed one being my fave. It makes me giggle. But I just noticed they even put look hoof-looking things on the headless horseman one! That's just great.
  23. So here is my friends response, I didn't check any of the websites, cuz I am at work and you are bored and in bed, so I figured you woulnd't mind having to check them out! "Tell her to go to brides.com and type in sunflowers brides did a fall spread and alot of the ideas were great for a rustic look. Also for candles she may want to look into Mason Jars as well as the jelly jars and these can be found at thrift stores ( especially the Care and Share her in Souderton ) I don't know where she lives but she should take a look at place that are more of a variety shop. Also tell her to google satnspurs ( this is another website with lots of ides on the Western Theme ). They have pictures of cakes, centerpieces, attire. They also have good ideas for favors and other little trinkets for decorating. Also there are flameless tealights that can be used in votives and that I believe are relatively inexpensive for her original idea. I saw them at Southern Living presentation. I think you can even them at a dollar store. Of course old Root Beer Barrels and old wash tubs are great for decorating touches or small metal buckets make great centerpiece holders in pictures I have seen. ( for the more rustic look you would go with tarnished metal buckets the colored ones are easy to come by but they don't really acheive the rustic appearance that tarnished silver metal gives ) Recently, I have seen the use of fruit in centerpieces like green apples, limes, lemons, oranges, peaches etc. I have seen them used in various different ways but I like the ones that are displayed in glass jars which would go well with mason jars or jelly jars. In choosing flower perhaps simply add fall berries and wheat to your arrangements instead of other types of flowers or other greens. the most important part of keeping the theme is really to find items that would be around the "farm" , house or kitchen that are readily available and can be made to look simply pretty."
