  1. Hmmm, wish I could help, but I don't know where the "remove advertisement" link even is!
  2. OMG, you had two tampons in for two days! Oy. I didn't notice I had done it until trying to take it out, it hurt bad. Thankfully, it hasn't happened recently.
  3. OMG, I did that once or twice, Jac! I thought I was the only fool that could do it, so yay for us fools! We are not alone!
  4. Me too! It's not much, but I count it as my "good deed" for the day, so anything over, I am realy good! hahahahaa
  5. Sold! I think your mind is made up and it totally works. And tell the cuz's to crash away!
  6. Awww, you made him a collage? Show us pics!!
  7. Good idea, Becks! No dessert, cuz it's back at the resort. Kristy - how many people are you over? I am just wondering if it is a small enough number that they could make it work. But if not, I think the alternative that you suggested woudl def work and offers your group a chance to get off the resort and check out another cool restaurant!
  8. OMG, that's funny. At least you are humurous about it. I think I would've flipped out before seeing the humor. I am kinda impatient like that and think everyone should know what i know. Loved the replay though, cute converstaion.
  9. Damn, Rebecca, I didn't even think about UTI's. I never had one and certainly don't want to get one! Will look into that...
  10. No, I think you are right! I didn't at first, but I researched it and edited my post to add what DC says. Which, I think is that it doesn't cause TSS, but you shouldn't use it if you have/has it previously. So that's another +!
  11. Awww, poor little big guy. He's probably like a big clutsy monster in that thing. I hope he gets better soon!
  12. So many opinions in such a little time! Faithful users, curious ladies, and the grossed out. Fun times this thread! I was going to multi-quote, but there were like a million, so I am going to try to condense all my comments.... First of all, I am SO glad to see so many girls that use it and are happy with it! I think I will give it the 100% try next month. Maybe.... And if it is still uncomfortable, I can try to trim the stem. Rach and Morgan - I busted out laughing at you two with the bigger then 2"? And Morgan then describing how. hhahahahahaaa Glenda - I think it doesn't cause infection cuz you are washing it? Really, I am not that knowledgable about it yet, but I have heard only good things from users. Angel - The whole public bathroom thing grossed me out too. I mean, if I am honest, the whole thing grosses me out. But due to the "green" threads on here, it made me aware of how much I DON'T do for the environment. And I've had the DC for like a year now, and if I can just switch to that, then there's a contribution on my part to being "green". Not at all trying to be preachy, just saying that I don't do much else, so if I can do this, I might as well try, kwim? (SO funny that you found a video!! hahahaa) Jenn - I kinda thought the same thing about tampons (being aware of them), but it was so long ago, I couldn't really compare the feeling. Interesting to know that DC lets you return if the size is wrong though! JaimeLynne - it is truly green, since you are eliminating the waste, but I totally understand that this isn't for everyone. I am not even sure it's for ME yet! futureeilen - I thought I read in the little booklet that you still had to be aware of TSS due to the bacteria (or whatever) that causes it. I will have to check that out, cuz I swore it said that.... Edited to add: TSS - FAQs - DivaCup™ Q. What about Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)? A. Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is considered a serious and sometimes fatal disease caused by toxin-producing strains of the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium. TSS has been linked to high absorbency and prolonged use of tampons. There are now regulations in labeling for tampon absorbency to decrease the risk of TSS. Symptoms of TSS often mimic the flu and can include sudden high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, or a rash that looks like a sunburn during your period or a few days after. If you have had TSS, do not use a menstrual cup. As with any gynecological concern, please consult your physician.
  13. NO WAY! I wouldn't've thought that! What is this other brand that you mean? Moon cup or something?
  14. Hmmmm, it's pretty small. Less then 2"? I am really bad at guessing sizes, but I can measure it when I get home tonight. It is weird, but what the hell, penises go in there, so this teeny cup shouldn't be too bad! I am just wondering if I have to use it longer to get used to it, or if it will always be umcomfortable.
  15. BUMP since that last action was in NOV-07! I actually have this set as my homepage at work, so that everyday when I sign into the internet, I remember to click each site.
  16. My sister and I bought the Diva Cup like last year sometime. I tried it and it was too weird for me, but Jill has been using it ever since. So I decided to try it again this period. I didn't trust myself to commit to it while at work, so I am using it just while I am at home. Does anyone else use this? I found that when I used it yesterday, it was much easier to get in and out then previously and it didn't leak at all. It was just weird. I could feel it, especially when moving down to sit on the couch, or when I moved to get up. Other then that, I couldn't really tell. But the way I could feel it when moving up or down was very uncomfortable. Like I don't know if I could wear it all day at work and feel that everytime I sat or stood. And I don't think it was in wrong, cuz I wasn't leaking and it caught everything. Then in the middle of the night, I went to the bathroom and switched to a tampon, cuz I could feel it when I would move around. If you've used it, is this something the body will become accustomed too? If you don't know what it is, check out the website - Diva Cup
  17. Jac - did you even see this? I was looking for a posting Maura made, and found this... Happy SUPER-LATE anniversary!
  18. Wow, that attitude stinks. Try to vent it to us, so that you can continue to let it roll off your back to them. Not worth getting into. Have they always been like that towards you
  19. I would def take to a jeweler to see if they can fix it. That really stinks. Especially that you think you might be the one who might have messed it up!
  20. Jac - did you try using a silver cleaning cloth? That get tarnish out really good. I think you can buy them at any jewelry store.
  21. Wow, that is crazy. I'd be less likely to report him though, cuz it seems like he is having a breakdown, or breakthrough maybe? Like perhaps something happened in his personal life that made him go crazy. I only say that cuz if he had a sign up stating "I am no longer perscribing bc pills due to my religious beliefs."; it would seem that something new happened to spurn the writing of that sign. Then perhaps he had a momentary lapse in judgement. However big that lapse might be. I would've walked right out the door too, but I don't think I would report him. I have done things in the heat of the moment (I told my bosses that I was giving my notice when my ex boyfriend and I broke up, cuz he worked in the same office! Stupid. but I did it and wished I hadn't and didn't even quit! We ended up working side by side for years after that.) Anyway, that's my two cents.
  22. Great dress! I agree that you should try to find it somehwre and try it on. What we like isn't always what's best for our bodies. If you can find it and love it, see if you can get a sample somewhere. Find out if the designer has trunk shows. But I think a good seamstress could do something along the lines of what you want. I copied pics frm the website for you, here they are...
  23. hahhaaha, I love the fence one and the tree one! So cute. You really do have a talent, Tammy.
