  1. My favorite thing to make and eat at home is "white chicken chili". YUM, it's delish! Here's the recipe, it seems like alot, but it really is pretty easy, oh and it's great to make a whole bunch, cuz it's better the next day. I might have to make some myself now that I am thinking about it.... WHITE CHICKEN CHILI Prep: 20 min; Cook: 1 hr 10 min Makes 6 servings, about 1 ½ cup each ¼ cup margarine or butter 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup) 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 4 cups ½ cubes cooked chicken or turkey 3 cups chicken broth 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves 2 teaspoons ground red chilies or chili powder ¼ teaspoon ground cloves 2 cans (15 to 16 ounces each) great northern beans, undrained 1 medium tomato, chopped (3/4 cup) Blue or yellow corn tortilla chips 1.Melt margarine in Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic in margarine, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender. 2.Stir in remaining ingredients except tomato and tortilla chips. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. 3.Serve with tomato and tortilla chips. 1 serving: Calories 500 (calories from fat 160g); fat 18g (saturated 4g); cholesterol 80 g; sodium 1020 mg; carbohydrate 49g (Dietary fiber 9g); protein 45 NOTE: I go heavy on the cilantro (an entire bunch), beans (2 large cans and usually 1 small) and chicken (I usually bake the chicken with salt and pepper, shred it after cooking and then put in the chili – I hate touching raw chicken); skipped the tomato. I also don't use a dutch oven, but just melt the butter and brown the onions in the bottom of my large soup pot.
  2. That's so nice of them! And how funny is the thing K had to wear on his head! hahhahaahaa
  3. Yeah, def resembles David Cook... Great photos though! I love the one of you and your ring, and you are kinda out of focus. And the sky was absolutely gorgeous for your photos!
  4. They do look great. By "took them yourself" do you mean, like on a timer? You did a great job!
  5. Mood : Go Getter Fun : Thriller Habits : High Time Roller Social : Nostalgic
  6. Happy wedding day! I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible, enjoy it!
  7. Glenda, I am totally with you. I couldn't have said it better if I tried.
  8. Our wedding date was more about the day then the month. I met Matt on the 17th and we celebrated every month, so we knew our wedding date would be the 17th. It was originally supposed to be last winter, cuz I wanted to be able to go away on anniversaries in the winter to somewhere hot. But that didn't work out since we had people traveling with us, we chose to move it to a month where the prices were cheaper. So May 17th it is!
  9. Wow, that IS a shame! I wonder if it was a hoax. I saw what Tara posted though, and I hope the authorities do actually have the person responsible! People are so irresponsible for some reason.
  10. The posting was removed, so I have no idea what was wrong, but I am glad that it appears to have been handled! Curiosity is getting the best of me - what was the original posting?
  11. I haven't, I find that I always like what others do better so far. Hopefully this coming month I can dedicate major time to it, cuz I really want to get my shit together and finalize the gifts I am giving!
  12. Wow, I love that crazy one! I am all about colors and patterns, so that would be my pick. But then I have to think, is it trendy? Cuz you don't want to spend a million dollars on trendy china... What about mixing the Tobacco Leaf with a plain one, so that it's more of an accent??
  13. Paul is going to flip! I can't believe your time is here and as the 2nd Boscobel bride, I can NOT wait to see your photos!
  14. I picked the provenias cuz I am not a fan of strapless dresses and I really love that material.
  15. Well, I picked up the cards the other day and the first thing that Matt said is that it looks like he is wearing makeup. So he hates them. But he said to use them anyway. Now I don't know what to do. He said he didn't care to see them first and I should order whatever I wanted, now he has an opinion. That gets on my nerves. What do you all thnk? Does it look like he has makeup on? After he said it, his lips kinda do look extra shiny, but I didn't think that when I first looked at it, so now I am confused... Mel - lightroom is SO cool, especially since i downloaded MUCHO presets. Now I can kinda see how each setting effects everything.
  16. I use this face treatment from Ulta and it's awesome. The first time I used it, I thought I burned my face off. It hurt pretty bad and I ran to rinse it off and I was all red for like an hour, but once that subsided, my skin was AWESOME. I use it probably about once a month, sometimes more if I remember or my skin is extra bad - "Joey" Blackhead dissolver and Pore Minimizer Gel
  17. Hmmmm, I've never gotten that message either. Does it ever have to do with the content and perhaps it's a banned from your work computer??
  18. Martha - the photo book that you photog is offering is probably a nicer version though. Called a flushmount and it printed on the harder pages. The Mpix book is a picture book and printed on paper. Don't get me wrong, it is still nice! I ordered mine (BD photos) from mypublisher, but it's the same concept. But I am def going to do flush mount for the wedding photos. Just so you know that the quality might be a little different, not sure how much you care about the type of book.... Also, I could be completely wrong, cuz my computer keeps freezing on the mpix website, so i haven't been able to research it!
  19. Sounds really cool! I am uploading my thousands of photos there to check out some things.
