Happy wedding day, Yari!!!
-
Ok, so it's done! I dn't have pics, but I'll try to get some this weekend, if not this weekend, DEF next weekend, cuz I have a wedding to go to. I told her I wanted the last pic of Nicole Richie, but it ended up more like my original thoughts of Katie length with Nicole bangs. Overall, I am happy with it so far! I never had bangs, so it kinda obthers me with the hair touching my face, but that should get better, I am hoping. Oh, and the reason no pics yet is cuz Matt is gone until Monday. I am sad and will miss him, but that means I have no one to take my pic! Maybe I can try to get Jill to take one...

Hmmm, I guess I am in the minority here, but it doesn't really bother me. Perhaps it's that I've been to strip clubs i nthe past, and been friends with strippers in the past, and I know it isn't always like the movies/rumors say it is. A womans body is sexy and I can't fault any man for wanting to look. I would much rather go to a female strip place then a male one. Talk about gross. But I also think that it's a very personal feeling. And it's totally not related to the security of your relationship or yourself. I am secure in my relationship, but not at all in myself and I still don't care. I think it's just how some of us are built. I am not a jealous person, and have never been, so these things don't bother me. Like I said, I think it's just in how our minds work or are put together. We all have triggers and this isn't one for me, personally. And regarding porn... Would you beleive that I've never watched a porno? I want to though, but not a corny one. Are they all corny? Cuz that's all I ever here. I even ordered some from a website like a year ago and we STILL haven't watched it! I mention it to Matt, but I think he feels stupid.

Was wondering when you would post your newbie post! Welcome aboard, Reg. For any of you old-time BDW'ers that remember I met Matt on a blind date - Reg is the one who set us up! Isn't that cool? Oh, Reg, I am also going to a wedding in Charleston, SC on Halloween. If you are interested in that location, I could be sure to take lots of pics and perhaps get some contact information for you. Good luck with everything!

Congrats! And that's so great that you were able to be with your dad!

Wedding dress made by relative
boscobel replied to quackquack's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I am all for it. But since it's a family member that makes things kinda sticky. Have you seen work they have done before? Can you be sure that they see your vision? I tried to get my wedding dress made and since it was lace, it was going to be almost as much as the original. Plus once I saw pics of her previous dresses, I realized that we weren't on the same wave-length style-wise. I would be really nervous having a family member do it though, unless you know for sure they have the talent. Cuz it could just be drama down the road. -
Help me chose my AHR shoes!

Ok, at first I was thinking #1, no doubt! Then I saw the white ones. I realllly like that hidden platform style. I still picked #1, but i'd also be happy if you picked the white ones. -
Awww, Jac, what a cute new siggy photo! Btw, he might like if you slipped him a lil somethin-somethin. hahahahahaha. But on a serious note, if you go in prepared for him probably wanting to bail out early, maybe it won't be so hard on you. Try to go with a light attitude and don't put too much pressure on yourself. Cuz it probably is us being stressed out that makes the guys even more fed up with it. If I could do it over again, I would try to be more relaxed and have fun with it.

Cobalt Blue & Orange Color Palette
boscobel replied to FoxyBride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I also used orange and blue with fuschia added in as well. You can check the links in my siggy for pics of stuff, if you are interested. Although the "orange brides" thread is probably a great place to start. -
Final dress decision?

Ohhh, I love #1! But #2 is more flattering on your and looks great! -
So I know I said this already in my email, but if you and Melissa are going to check stuff out, I don't htink it would hurt to register for what you see and like that day. Then you can go with Joe later and add more. Then you can edit it online later. Cuz you will never remember everything that you see that you like, even if you write it down, you will find that your notes don't make sense and you don't know what they mean. Also, if you register online first (just set up your names and wedding info) it saves some time sitting in the registry persons desk. And if you do that with Mini first, you won't have to do it with Joe and then it's less time for him to get ADD in. Kwim? Ok, re-reading that, I kinda didn't make a lot of sense. To clarify, you can sign up online by creating a registry and not even adding any info (I think they are good for a few days with no info, and then they are deleted). Then when you go into the store to get the registry gun, you can tell them that you've already signed up and they just give you the gun, the list of stuff to work from, show you how to work the gun, and you can be on your way.

I kinda liked the variety in the different clipart. But if you wanted something a little more smooth looking, perhaps you can use the same clipart and alter the colors between the blue and green that you are using? If I had to pick, I like the 1st clipart best. Did you try cuttig one apart and putting it together to see how it looked as a completed boarding pass? That might change your ideas about how it looks now or give you ideas about what you want to change.

For those that were looking for more tips, there is a thread out there called "What I would and wouldn't do again... " That might help you out with some tips.

So Jac - who had a camera? Let me know who I need to bug and I will get right on that, cuz we are dying to see some lovely pics!

Well don't feel bad girls, I never even started dieting this time. I think my $15 was just a donation. I haven't exercised once and I am eating basically the same but being a little more conscious of it. Like I admit when I eat something bad, but I don't stop myself either! No self-control, I swear.

I know right! I don't remember exactly when this pic was taken, but I know the last time I had short red hair was about 6 years ago. Oh to be young and skinny again. Kamay - I had the cut like Jenny McCarthy's a few years ago, so I was hoping to try something new now, although I just saw her on a sitcom and was thinking how much I love it again... What about a cut like Jenny McCarthy's? I love her hair! Here's a couple pics-in the first pic the length is too short for me (ignore the one with her longer hair), but I like the bangs. I love the length of her sitting at the table with the other celebs...maybe you could incorporate the longer bangs with the length of her sitting at the table?? Amy - funny you should say that cuz I love Posh's new do! I love her style all the time except for the times I hate it. Hahahahaa. But I had my hair short-short like that for years before and usually ultimately end up back to it, but I don't want that right now. I only like my hair super short when I am really skinny. THen I can dye it all funky colors all the time, that's fun. I loved having short red hair. Quote: Originally Posted by Amy&Andy I'm loving the edgy Katie cut. Go for it. Mummer, Kamay, Rachel - in response to all of your comments, the reason I want short hair again is so that I HAVE to do it. I kinda feel like Rach in that what's the point if it's only in a pony? If my hair is down, it is ALWAYS up by the end of the night. I want something that I have to put a little effort in and can't just pull back. That's also kinda the reason that I htink the Katie haircut might be best, cuz I will HAVE to do it. But I am still scared! It was kinda annoying for me- like why have long hair but not enjoy it right? So having short hair ensures I just leave it as is.
