Hey Quelicious. I only like the square one out of those choices. Personally, I would prefer a smaller jewelry box, cuz I like to have a few little boxes that sort my stuff into categories. Perhaps that's the anal in me, but when it's all in one big thing, you can't see everything. I can't offer you up places to look for alternative ones yet, cuz I don't have much time to internet browse today, but I will look for some later.... Oh, just had a thought, does it have to be sterling silver? I know that places like Ten Thousand Villages have really cool ones. Something like that would be more my style though, so ti might not be what you're looking for... Ok, so I couldn't resist and went to check if Ten Thousand Vilages had anything cool. No time to upload the pics, so just going to post links... Handmade Embossed Floral Keepsake Box from India || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Fretwork Shesham Box from India || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Tree of Life Tea Box from India || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Jacquard Mirrored Jewelry Box from Nepal || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Large Batik Painted Bamboo Box from Indonesia || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Reverse Painted Jewelry Chest from Peru || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Shesham Wood Box from India || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Tree of Life Box from Vietnam || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Handmade Tree of Life Wooden Box from India || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Crap, just realized that I didn't check the sizing on any of those, but I have to run to my meeting now, check back with ya later...

Have you checked your subscriptions? I saw that Maura had replied to that thread already. Go into your UserCP and there will be a list of threads that have UNREAD repsonses in them, that you created or responded to previously. Otherwise, you can do an advanced search for threads created by you. Whooopsie, I see that Maura already responded to this one too.

My husband isn't fond of my dog either, cuz she used to belong to my ex. But he knew that I love her and there wasn't a choice on whether she goes where I go. So I agree with the others, I couldn't be with someone who wanted me to get rid of my pet. When I moved in wtih Matt, I did allow some compromise in the things Sugar was allowed to do though. Perhaps if you guys did something like that? I mean, I see that he already has "rules", but some of them are extreme and a little ridic. Sugar used to sleep in my bed and was allowed on the furniture before I lived with Matt. Now she has her own bed at the foot of our bed and she loves it. And she isn't allowed on our living room furniture, but she is allowed on the futon in our extra bedroom (craft room). It didn't take her long to learn the difference and now we are all happy with the situation. But I have to reiterate that I would never get rid of my pet cuz someone "doesn't like" them. If would be different if the pet was nasty and bit or something, but I'd re-evalute the situationwith your FI and see if you can reach a compromise. Perhaps he is using the cat as an excuse for things? Like a scape-goat??

I know, i saw the same announcement and totally loved that Charlie and the Waitress are married in real life. (Does she have a real name on the show, or is it just "the waiteress"??) -
Welcome back! I can't wait to see some photos.

boscobel replied to tvt's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Posting this thread is like an "omg, omg, omg" moment isn't it? You did a great job with everything! I especially love your purse. -
Oh Cindy, that's horrible! My mom does the same shit and it drives me crazy. then she wonders why I have a weight complex even when I am skinny. I am glad that her words seem to have rolled off your back, but it's still not something that's easy to hear.

Omg, don't you hate that about the daylight? It's so depressing. All I want to do when I go home is put my pj's on and get under a blanket on the couch and eat snacks.

Google Offers 'Mail Goggles' for Drunk E-Mailers Quote: SEATTLE — Here's the scenario: It's Friday night, and what began as an innocent happy-hour margarita morphed into a few pitchers. After all, those tacos were salty. Bidding friends adieu, you jump in a cab, head home and decide a quick e-mail check is in order. And there it is: a message from your ex. Or your boss. Or that friend you're secretly mad at. If you're the kind of person who types tipsy and regrets it in the morning, Google's "Mail Goggles," a new test-phase feature in the free Gmail service, might save you some angst. The Goggles can kick in late at night on weekends. The feature requires you to solve a few easy math problems in short order before hitting "send." If your logical thinking skills are intact, Google is betting you're sober enough to work out the repercussions of sending that screed you just drafted. And if you can't multiply two times five, you'll probably thank Google in the morning. To activate Goggles, Gmail users should click the "Settings" link at the top of a Gmail page, then go to the "Labs" section. There's no shame in admitting that sometimes you need a little extra help. Gmail engineer Jon Perlow designed Goggles with his own weaknesses in mind. "Sometimes I send messages I shouldn't send. Like the time I told that girl I had a crush on her over text message. Or the time I sent that late night e-mail to my ex-girlfriend that we should get back together," he wrote when announcing Mail Goggles on a company blog. The name is derived from the slang term "beer goggles," or the curious effect of alcohol on one's ability to see the true nature of that "cutie" at the other end of the bar. But you can set up Mail Goggles to protect you from yourself at other emotionally vulnerable times — before your morning coffee, for example, or right after "Grey's Anatomy."

OMG, a year already?! Holy crap, time flies! Congrats, Mel!!! I hope you have a wonderful day with J!

Lori - that actually sounds pretty cool and like it might be right up my alley! I will have to check into that... And Allaballa - I am SO not a people person, so I think being in sales would conflict with my personality and I'd be miserable. It's actually something my husband would be really good at probably, but I'd be the worst real estate agent ever! hahahaa. Thanks girls, keep the ideas coming!

Yeah, I keep hearing the medical field is the way to go. I was hoping for something that would be more of a "i make my own hours" type of thing. Like the reason my mom was telling me about court stenography was because her friend daughter does it, and she just makes appts with lawyers and whoever and does depositions and whatno. So she doesn't have official work hours, just makes appts as needed. I realize this might be a far fetched "want" to have in my career, but was just wondering if someone knew of other things similar to it.

Oh that's the worst. I feel your pain. I think photos are so hard to see of yourself, cuz you can just stare at it and stare at it and totally pick yourself apart from the tip of your hair to the tips of your toes. At least you have plenty of time to take control before your wedding! Too bad my wedding is past, cuz what's my motivation. I need something ot make me care enough to STOP EATING CAKE/CHOCOLATE/CHIPS/ETC. I even joined the BL this season and nada. I don't do anything different. It's like I care, but not enought o give up the food that I love.

I am looking for advice or ideas on a career change. I am currently an Accountant, but I never really chose this job, it just kinda happened. I don't have a degree and have pretty much reached the top of where I can be without one. I don't want an Accounting degree though. I've been thinking alot about the future and the fact that when we have children, I want to be a stay at home mom. We also will own our own business when Matt takes over his Dad's hair salon. Our plans for then would be for me to take over the business side of it. But that's in the future, probably 5+ years. We will probably have children before that time, so I've really been thinking about things that I can change now in preperation for that time. I work over 1.5 hours away from where we live (we also live within about 10-15 minutes of the salon, so moving closer to my work isn't really an option), so when we have kids, I don't want to have to return to this job so far away. Plus I kinda hate my job. I am looking for career options that offer flexible hours but still make ok money. My mom suggested court stenography. I am a pretty good typer, so that's a possibilty, but it made me wonder what other options there are. Anyone have any ideas? I wouldn't be opposed to going to school for it either, as long as it wasn't for years. I kinda want to make a change soon. I am open to hear any ideas that anyone has.
