Ok, so I am just withdrawing from this one. I haven't been eating right OR exercising and I keep forgetting to take the picture while at home and then stress about it while at work. I think I am just going to bail out this session and perhaps when I mean business I will join the next one. I am trying to get Matt on board to just eat healthier in general, so perhaps I'll be ready for the next group.

I thnk the fact that I am blonde and look like shilz with dark hair always makes me like the dark hair better. But hands down, that is what I like. It always makes me jealous cuz the only time dark hair works for me is when I am super tan. So my vote is for dark and I agree with Maura - trim only! Oh yeah, and great inspiration photos!

Beachbride08's Planning Thread!!!
boscobel replied to beachbride08's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Wow, great job, Michelle. Everything looks great, I can't beleive you have 15 days left! -
Oh good, that makes me so happy for you. Cuz I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to get rid of your cat. I am glad that you two spoke and he took you seriously. I have to ask though, that cat won't be locked in the basement for the rest of it's life, right? Cuz that's also not the best solution. It's a HUGE step in the right direction though that you have discused this with him and have a better understanding of how each of you feels. Despite this, he really is a good guy and he is wonderful with his neices so I know he will be a good dad. He just needs to open his eyes to accept animals. I have his word that he will show more respect towards her and my feelings about it. I really do trust him so I believe he is going to try. He has already stopped yelling at her and will just shoo her away gently if shes too close to him. I know its not fair to him to have me shove her down her throat, it needs to be his own decision to change his behavior. I know they will probably never be best buddies, but he has promised to treat her kindly. Honestly, this situation was so hard for me. I think it had been the biggest problem that he and I have ever had, so I really do appreciate everyones concern and suggestions on here. Now I can focus back onto the wedding and getting Luna (my kitty) set up for while we are gone.

MonoAmor - so it's been almost 2 weeks since your originally posting and the one after that where you still have some questions. Have you and your FI discussed it at greater length? I hope all is well with you.

Ohhhh, this is so hard. Have to "think, think, think" (Winnie the Pooh, anybody?) and come back to this thread.

Holiday cards - where are you getting yours from this year?
boscobel replied to Alyssa's topic in Random Thoughts
Hmmm, hadn't thought about this yet. Thanks, Alyssa! Now another thing for me to think about instead of WORK! -
Great info, Catherine.

We both cried. His was much more in control, just watery eyes. and I was fine until I had to speak. Apparently, I can only control one thing at a time. So while I wasn't speaking, I was able to control the tears. But as soon as I had to speak, all hell broke loose! I really didn't want to cry before the wedding, but I so don't mind that I did after the fact. That's just mean. Like Erin said above, I also cry at commercials and tv shows and reding books or magazines. So if I didn't cry at my wedding, i think something would be wrong with me.

more wedding pics...
boscobel replied to cessyboston's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Great pics. I am so jealous of your hair! -
Hey Reg, If you want to send just Jackee (or anyone) a message, it's called a "private message" or "PM". You can do that by clicking on their name in a post they made or in the top right of the screen, where it shows that number of unread posts, click on "private message". Then in the private message screen, click "send new message". And to search if there are any local weddings, I would just do a search. Or check out the "East Coast" forum.

I know, I know. But I really hate posing for pictures. The wedding was actually easier like that cuz they were talking thousands of photos, so I am sure that the majority of them I looked just as miserable. But since I was so happy that day, it was easier to catch me smiling. I always think that when I look back at pictures "i should've relaxed and smiled" but at the time, I am just too uncomfortable to do it! Oh, and thank, Anny! It means so much to me to have everyone thnk I did a great job! Quote: Originally Posted by reg Hi Carly, the dress looks great! good job! OMG, Jac, I woudl die if I committed myself to making a wedding parties dresses! This process was basically me stumbling thru each step, so no way would I want to do that to another person. But I am getting a sewing machine for christmas/birthday, so maybe I can eventually be good enough to do something for others. It definitely felt good to have people compliment the dress. Although, I think the fact that I was wearing yellow in a cloud of black made me stand out more, so that's probably why people were no noticing of my dress. And thanks, Er! Maybe in 20 years, i can do Project Runway for Leni (Heidi's daugher)!

What's a good luggage brand
boscobel replied to Jacqueline's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I was going to say Samsonite. Abbie said Swiss Army and I remember seeing that when I was looking and they looked nice. Matt has Tommy HIlfiger and it is nice and was reasonable. I have Nine West (cuz I fell in love with the purple color) and the big bag held up nice, but the shoulder strap no the duffle broke the first time we put stuff in it and picked it up. One thing I would pay attention to is the sales. I switched my luggage a few times before my shower, cuz when I registered, it was originally on sale. Then it wasn't and it was crazy expensive. So I switched to another. I dont know how often they switch, but it's something to be aware of. Oh and the ones with the swivel wheels are always nice too. That's what I originally registered for (Samsonite Swivel in RED, i love red), but when it wsn't on sale, it was way too much money to ask someone to spend. -
Thanks ladies! A couple compliments never hurt. But I was telling Alyssa, these pictures make it look so much longer then it feels in person, so I think I am going shorter when I get a trim. And my bangs are already too long, a week and a half later, to wear as bangs. They are basically split and pushed to the sides of my forehead. Maybe I should get Matt to trim'em up for me....

I helped my sister make the flowergirl dresses for my wedding, but I did every last stitch, cut, and mistake (HA!) myself on this dress. It ended up pretty good too. By the end of the night, the belt wasn't really staying together too well, but I can fix that this week. The only problems that I had with the dress were the boob area didn't fit too well, which I think I will convert it from a halter into regular straps and then it lays much better. And the other thing was where the zipper and fabric meet, it wsn't too smooth. But all in all, I was still pretty proud of myself. Now these are also the pictures I posted in the hair thread, so sorry for the duplication, but that's all I got! Also, don't mind my faces, I am really bad at getting my picture taken. It kinda makes me miserable having to be in a picture and it totally shows. Well, here ya go! Oh, and I will try to have better pictures of it taken at Danielle's wedding on Halloween. Cuz these three are the only ones of me where you can even see the dress and you really can't see the whole thing at all.

OK, ladies, I finally have pictures. After going thru all 188 photos that we took at the wedding, there are like 10 that I am in and they all kinda suck. So please don't mind my nastiness, I don't like to have my picture taken... I am kinda a bitch about it actually, so most of the photos are me and my attitude. I forgot to resize, so going to do that now...
