  1. Matt's going hunting the weekend after Thanksgiving, so if you want to come up sometime then, cooooo! If not, I hvan't been to your house ever, so... Damn, just looked at the calendar, and this weekend is booked, next is Thanksigving, the next is my birthday, and the next is my birthday celebration with Matt's family! That brings us all the way to Dec 20th! Unless you can hang out on Friday night. Then it would have to be just me, since Matt works late on Friday and early on Saturdays. If it's a Friday, then 11/28 works for me, 12/12. or 12/19. Whoops, 12/19 is JOhnny's surprise 30th, can't do that day. Damn I wish that we had more then 2 day weekends. Let me know what works for you!
  2. Let's have a wine party, Jac!!! Tami - that was me that said I like Australian wines. I dont know any names, but they are whites and usually just almost clear in color. I bought a wine journal last Christmas, I should totally start using it!
  3. I picked #2, cuz who cares what your body is shaped like, if you like the dress and it looks good? #1 is very flattering as well, but I am more a fitted type of girl, so I went with #2.
  4. Jac - you know Tami sells wine, right? So listen to her, she knows what she is talking about! And you also described what I like about wine (not dry and more towards fruity), so I will perhaps try some of these that Tami listed... I usually just drink Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. The lighter in color they are, the more I like them usually. And Matt also found that I tend to like Australian wine. He pays attention to that crap, I had never noticed!
  5. you have to see this, it's about 20 seconds long, and if it's real, it's really funny or really sad if you are the bride Funniest Wedding Accident
  6. Oh my cuteness. I know what I'll be doing at lunch time today.
  7. No problem, girlie. I just know sometimes people just want to know the price or size or something simple, but if they have to PM someone for it, they might not bother since they aren't sure they will even order it. I found when planning my wedding, it was easiest to just include all the information up front, otherwise you get overwhelmed with the same questions over and over. You're such a good mod you are ;o)
  8. They look great, Quel! Although, I would update your post to include the site so it's easy for people to check out the pricing and what not if they are interested in them. I can update it for you, if you send me the links.
  9. Please read this thread to directions on how to post pictures directly in your postings - Posting Photos-please look here!. Also, the link in my siggy (or any other MOD) has some very helpful threads for navigating the forum. Pretty necklace, by the way! I have made jewelry before, and it feels great to wear something you created and have people notice it.
  10. So I was interested in p90x, but got scared after researching it since I haven't worked out or exercised in any way/shape/form for practically my whole life. But I ordered Tony Horton's Power Half Hour and just got it yesterday! I was reading the booklets on the train this morning and am excited to start it. Cuz I think having it be 30 minutes might make it fit into my schedule. Oh, i also found a website that was selling the p90x system for fairly cheap, if anyone is interested - P90X - Extreme Home Fitness - $85.99 : The-DVDs!, The Art of Saving - $85 and free shipping
  11. Aww, so tiny and they still have the puppy frizzy hair! Adorable!
  12. Ok, so I want the first one. I love it so much! I think if you are untraditional, then go untraditional. Everyone has different ideas. Like I am very anti-big-puffy-dresses, and I didn't want to be traditional either. My wedding dress was a couture dress, but really it was more the style of an evening gown (being very fitted and sleek) with a train. Do what makes you happy! Have you attempted to try on dresses like this and imagine you on your wedding day in them? If so, then go all out.
  13. Well I bet the other 10% would seem alot better if both of you were getting the space that you need. Are there things that you can do to still get it? Like perhaps hang out in different rooms occasionally, run errands separately, pick up a hobbie? I think you are just going thru the learning process and you will be fine. Although, it never hurts to talk about it. For a long time, Matt always took it personal that I want time alone. Until he realized it wasn't time away from him, as much as time to myself. There is a difference. It took alot of talking about that to make him realize that I just treasure my alone time, and i still love to be with him. So perhaps talking to him about it would help as well. Although, if he already feels cramped, that might just feel needy to him right now.
  14. I don't know if I would say it's normal, but it's definately not ab-normal. I think that things change once we are married, even if it's only subconsciously. And the time change is a huge difference! Plus the fact that your hubbie is in the process of getting a promotion. You jsut have a couple big stressers going on, so that is why I don't think it's abnormal. But what, in general, is he mad at most of the time? Just wondering, cuz it wasn't very specific about the situation. Sometimes people just need personal space. Like I need ALOT of it, and I get really cranky and sometimes downright mean if I don't get it. Matt is learning that, even though he would much rather smother me, or have me smother him. So we are still learning eahc other's needs, wants, limits, etc. I am sure what you are experiencing is a combination of many, many things and it doesn't at all indicate that your marriage isn't going well.
  15. Sadly, I think your story is all too normal for some of us. I was skinny when I met Matt (after having gained weight with a previous boyfriend and then losing it all), and I started to pack on the lbs as soon as I met Matt practically. It's the eating, drinking, fun stuff that new couples do! I lost some for the wedding, but I've gained it back again. So it's an ongoing battle. Weight Watchers is the way to go though! I lost about 10 lbs on that before the wedding and it was really easy to do. It's totally about breaking habits and learning portion control. Good luck!
  16. Do you have sizes of the manzanita branches? I am making mobiles for our nieces and nephews for Christmas and they might be perfect...
  17. It's totally the brides call. If you are comfortable not being the only one in white, that go with it! I personally and not a fan of white (or black), cuz I just love colors, but if that is what you like, then who can complain
  18. Great pics, Danielle!!! I am still going thru them, since there are so many, but you look gorgeous!
  19. Welcome home, Amanda! Can't wait to see pics and hear more details!
  20. I think it looks great as well! It may not be what you wanted, but maybe this is better!
  21. Celina, that's so exciting!!! I can't wait til you get back and tell us all about it!
