OMG....thank you so much for saying that. I really was having major emotions thinking I wasn't having the "right emotions" when trying on dresses. You're so right about being indecisive....I'm totally like that too. Its also so hard for me trying on dresses because I swim in everything (like a size 2 and 5'4) so with major clips and dresses that are way too long it's hard to tell......yikes!

What do you do in Marketing? That's my field as well! I'm the director of marketing for Coldwell Banker in Port Angeles....luv it! However...it's a good thing my boss isn't having a destination wedding, otherwise my booty would be fired for all the time I've spend on this dang forum....you guys are like drugs....

Thanks for the input......I also think its a crapload of money to spend on a dress....but so many people are telling me...."you only get married once...bla bla bla" But I'm from the thinking..."Yes...and I'm only "wearing" it once!" I also am having issues with the "feeling" I'm supposed to get when I am supposed to just KNOW it's the dress for me. I am so picky about clothes and dresses specifically that I don't know if I"ll ever have that exact feeling. Did you guys absolutely "know" it was your dress BTW...I have three more appointments in Bellevue (WA) for this Friday...so I'm still actively looking; My dress budget is 1500 or so.....My mom is paying for it, so anything above 1500 I'm paying for. I'm also solely paying for this wedding (15k)....so I need to save money!!!!

I am having a cost dilemma......I'm sure you all went through this: While I know this is the most important "dress" I'll ever wear, and I don't want to skimp on finding the perfect dress......I'm only wearing it once; I'm having a hard time deciding if I should spend a huge amount since it's that important; or save a bit since I'm only wearing the dang thing for one day. Also....I found a Sally Crew dress this weekend that I really really liked. There aren't any photos online since it is a smaller designer...apparently local (seattle). The dress is 2,000.....and I could have the back changed for an additional 800...since I had wanted something backless or low back. How important is the back of the dress for you? Is it worth spending 800 more on? Most pictures I see of brides are mostly from the front? The back is very pretty as is (it's got shoestring straps...just simple down to mid back) but I had always wanted something really sexy and backless. I love the front, love the bottom, and love the material. When you guys found your dresses did you love absolutely everything about them How much did you spend on your dresses? God I write alot...can you tell I'm in marketing......

I am using Emlee at Baja weddings and from the very first e-mail I sent asking questions she has been on top of things! She always responds to my e-mails immediately...which is great considering I am constantly busy and on the computer. She offers really honest advice, which I totally appreciate, and has taken care of bookings without me even having to ask. I didn't do much research on other WCs because most lost me at the first look of their website....Anyways...very happy with our decision.

I am also using Manuel Burgoin, since our WC highly recommended him. I like the way his pics look online...but make sure you whatever photog you get, you have a contract that it will actually be that photographer and not an assistant. I have heard of that happening when you arrange the services yourself as opposed to a WC doing it.

God sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself instead of feeling crappy about falling off the wagon. I was laughing on my way back from lunch today thinking about how I attacked that peanut butter like it had personally offended me. My FI asked why I cant take out my bad mood/agression on him (yes in the dirty way) instead of food. I was like, yeah you or cereal covered peanut butter in a spoon....tough one actually. We need to remind eachother that these moments are totally normal and WE ALL DO IT! Sometimes I think i'm totally nuts....but no.....it's just all women are nuts about food

Ok...can someone please tell me why we women sabotage ourselves when working out/dieting I've been so so so good and then had one of those days yesterday......Got all the way to the gym and realized I had no pants ...and while I like the way my butt looks, I don't think anyone at the gym needs to see me working out with no bottoms... So I got all the way home and decided I should go for a run instead since I really need to workout. I got about a mile into it and it started to absolutely downpour. (I live in Washington, so I should have known better) I felt like I was running with an extra 5 pounds because I was so soaked. Needless to say, when I got home I was not in a good mood. I yelled at my FI for something...can't even remember now, then attacked the jar of peanut butter with a spoon....dipped the peanut butter into a box of cereal and went to town like I hadn't eaten in days. Why in gods name do I do this? Please someone tell me you get mad/angry/sad/something....and eat odd things in horrid quantities. Sometimes I think I'm nuts!

HELP with getting legally married
Amy&Andy replied to Mrs.Morley's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Good topic to start up.....We are also doing the cymbolic cermeony instead of a legal one in Mexcio, but we are having the legal one here at home after we get home. Is there any reason you all decided to do the legal one first? I'm just wondering if there was a specific reason. We are also keeping the "legality" of it a secret.....that is if our parents can keep their big mouths shut! -
Uhm coach and diamonds.....goodness woman you got it made! I love that ring...I am also having a "halo" style ring made and it should be done within the next few months. I love that style...mine is also round, but with single bead around head and single on side. That style makes the diamond look fat! Congrats on the bling and the bag

WOW! Sarah you look so radiant and beautiful. I think your dress was perfect for you and I loved loved your makeup and hair.....didn't you say you had done it yourself I'm also a Dreams bride and was freaked about the makeup idea. Anyways....your happiness and devotion for each other shows in every picture. Congrats!

It was actually a fun project and not too stressful since the items all came together in one nice little DIY kit!

Absolutley Lovely! I think we have the same colors! I just got finished with my STD's and I was looking for inspiration for my formal invites! I think I just found it! You did a wonderful job. I know how much work those take! Half of the battle is making decisions on what paper..what color...what to write. You pulled them off beautifully. I can't wait to see the rest of your projects!

Holy hell.....did spin class Saturday morning followed by 30 min of weights. Could hardly get out of bed yesterday morning but I have never been so happy to be in pain! Did yoga and pilates class on Sunday since my legs felt like they were going to give out on me! I'm averaging about 4 or 5 days a week working out for over 1 1/2 hours.....trying to get up to 6 days a week. BD pics countdown exactly 60 days!!! Regardless of if I get in the killer shape I think I'm going to I will be spray tanning my little hiney because I always say tan fat looks better than white fat

My aunt said it was by far the cutest thing she's ever gotten in the mail and that she wants to save the bottle and fill it with Cabo sand as a memento. One project down...only about 700 left to go

Not long. I ordered the DIY kit from Marketing In A Bottle - Detail It came with the bottles, corks, some sand and shells, boxes, and some paper which I didn't use. Then I bought rafia, nice paper (linen with silver accents), and more sand and shells to put inside. I printed my own message and my FI spray painted the mailing boxes in silver on the outside and blue on the inside. I probably spent about 50 bucks total on all of the materials. The kit from marketinginabottle was only about $30 or so...... I would definately do this again...it was pretty easy and cheap!

Kate just think of how hot hot hot hot you are going to look for those pics. I'm telling you I have been busting my butt and eating way better knowing those are coming up. I booked her for August 25th btw...sent you an e-mail earlier. I'm so frickin pumped I can hardly wait. I think I'll be rolling in there with about 20 outfits since I keep buying everything sexy I see online. OOps...more for the honeymoom Keep it up! Everyone is doing great! Picture yourself in your dress and how you want to look. The last thing you want is to feel self conscious on your big day, so work hard and it will pay off!!!!

Post Groom and GM attire
Amy&Andy replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Brooks Brothers | Men | Summer | Belgian Linen Suit My FI actually e-mailed this to me today.....he wants a white suit instead of Khaki...since he figures he can wear a khaki suit to work any day and will never be able to wear a white one any other time This one looks really nice. I told him that was almost as expensive as a wedding dress! -
Good job everyone! What great motivation. I still have a year until my wedding, but my BD pics are in August! Theres something about being in next to nothing that will get your booty in gear. I've already lost about 5 lbs in the past two weeks....so I'm on my way! I just love this little bunny....everytime I see it.....(makes me laugh:)

Those are some of the most amazing pictures I have ever seen. I was getting teary eyed and I don't even know you! That really says something about the emotion captured. You two look so in love and happy! I loved your dress, makeup and hair...like someone mentioned before you look almost angelic.....(except your BD picks say much to the contrary) Leigh did an absolutely amazing job. You will look back on these with so much joy....congrats!!!!!
