Hey Miss Cessy! What is the best shampoo and conditioner for not so natural blondes.. I get foils every 2 months but my color always seems to fade. I love the way it looks right after my coloring, but can't seem to maintain it well. I use the violet shampoos every once in a while, but let me tell you.....after accidentally leaving it on too long a few times...purple hair is definately a good color for me! Is there a good brand that I can pretty much find anywhere? Any drugstore brands that are decent? I use that John Freida sheer blonde conditioner alot since I seem to go through my conditioner twice as fast as my shampoo.......Thanks lady!

I lost my ring today!
Amy&Andy replied to SusanK's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Oh you poor poor thing. I also have this issue with my ring at the gym. My FI keeps telling me not to wear it since the metal against metal of the weights is apparently bad. I refuse to take it off and put it anywhere since I am terribly afraid it will dissapear! I keep wearing it anyways....there is no way I'm putting it anywhere in my gym bag! You are so lucky you found it! I lost my keys one day at the gym and had everyone running around looking for them in the most random places...turns out I was being blonde and had hung them on the coat rack hooks..... don't know where my mind was as....I never fessed up that I had actually accidentally put them there; instead I said someone must have taken them by accident and put them back there I felt like a dumbass after having the workers make multiple announcement.....I'm guessing you didn't fess up and say the ring was in your bootay! -
Thanks for the heads up! They are also having a really nice online sale with 50% off all of their online merchandise....as if we all need to be spending more money! Wedding is draining me!

centerpiece-no flowers
Amy&Andy replied to Golden's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I love all of these ideas. I'm also not willing to spend loads of money on flowers on my table decorations. A few fresh ones perhaps....but I love those shell candle hurricane ideas....thanks for the postings! -
Wedding Plans Update!
Amy&Andy replied to JaimeLynne's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
OOOOOHHHHH! So pretty. I love that look of the hotel. Also...I hope you are having the ceremony in that cool spot overlooking the cliffs. It is absolutely breathtaking! Great choice of hotel. It's so hard to find something that all of your guests will appreciate; but I am sure they will adore that scenery.....OH; and you must take neat pics on those chic little lounge couches....how very very cool -
How long have you and your husband / fiance been together?
Amy&Andy replied to NABUMBAH's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Andy and I met at a party in college when neither of us were looking for a relationship. I had a serious case of the hicups so my girlfriend pawned me off on Andy to get rid of me since I was annoying her. He told me to drink my beer from the opposite side of the cup upside down to get rid of them. Sure enough....it worked....and so did he.... I personally think he was just trying to get me drunk No one thought we would make it together since we were both "players" but boy when it hits you........no turning back 4/12 years later......we still act like crazy college kids in love! We'll have been together 5 1/2 years when we get married! That sounds like so long! -
I can't actually believe I went 9 straight days in a row working out last week and the one before. I did take two days off however then decided to bake cookies since I was bored...... yeah....not a good idea! Somehow I managed to bounce back from my mini binge and worked out extra hard with 55 min of cardio and 30 min of weights on Saturday. I'm still losing weight but now my FI is giving me shit! He mentioned that my butt is "shrinking" and he can see hip bones when I lay down. What a butthead! I'm feeling so good about my body for the first time in a while since I can put all of my clothes on and they are loose! I went shopping and everything I tried on was huge. He keeps saying how skinny I'm getting....not telling me how hard I've been working, or that I look good. It's always comments like, "wow you look so skinny" when I think I'd rather just hear how I'm hot! He did say he feels like he got a new and improved version of Amy....but thats only after I mentioned how much hotter I feel with regards to certain activites..... What a bonehead!

Anny's Wedding Pic Overload
Amy&Andy replied to anaderoux's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Oh my goodness Annie! Gorgeous! I love the style of your wedding decor and all of the dresses. You coordinated everything so chic! I love the bridesmaid dresses...they looked fabulous. Also.....you look so tiny and beautiful in that dress. It really looks great. Can't wait to see more pictures. Great Job and Congrats!!!!! -
Welcome! Be careful...this forum starts off as a bit of fun and turns in to a full fledged obsession! You will get all sorts of good hints and tips however.....at least thats how I justify mulitple hours a day looking at posts!

We are using a sky blue (kind of cross between french blue and baby blue) with silver, black and white accents. Both Andy and I are wearing all white...he's wearing a white linen suit with blue shirt under. I'm using all sorts or lillies and orchids with whites and light pinks in them. I wanted the colors soft and natural. I can't wait!

Yay you guys......everyone is kicking butt! I made it to my goal of working out 7 days straight this week! I feel great! I was totally posing in front of the mirror last night in my BD outfits...what a nerd. I'm not even that nervous about it anymore! I actually am looking forward to being in next to nothing...... So I did 7 straight days of cardio and weights except for Saturday when my parents were in town. My mom and I did spin class in the morning then went for a 3.6 mile hike in the olympic mountians....which was basically climbing straight up for an hour and 1/2! I was so sore yesterday I almost skipped the gym, but I knew I had to make it to my 7 day goal. I havn't weighed myself...since I know muscle weighs more than fat, but I think I've probably lost around 5-7lbs or so...now down to about 117...want to be at 110 by the wedding; and 115 by BD picks next month. I'll let ya'll know how it goes!

Which Shoes?
Amy&Andy replied to foxytv's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I actually really like #1....they are classic, but still have a funky edge to them. I do like #2 also....but think that they would be more fun for one of your other events...possibly with a shorter dress to really show them off. Either way.....hot shoes! -
The way I look at it...when else in your life will you ever be able to wear a veil? I don't want to look back and wish I would have done it. I think it really makes me feel like a bride....not just a girl in a pretty white dress. I will probably only have it on for the ceremony and some of the pics. If you are even half-way thinking of wearing one, you should! You can always take it off if it bothers you. Plus....with that beautiful long hair of yours.....GORGEOUS!
-
Kate....yikes! that sucks. I hope it gets better for your BD picks. I was so excited for you to get them done so you can tell me what to prepare for with Vicki. Keep me posted on how they go, or if you reschedule. Quick thought.....I have mine booked for August 25th (saturday)....if you have to reschedule we could share the cost of Hotel 1000....hot damn it's expensive! That is, if you decide your face isn't quite camera ready.......might be a way to save 100+ bucks. On the workout note.....I've gone 5 days in a row of heavy duty workouts...no less than 1.5 hours at the gym everyday. I think my booty has lifted about 2 inches.... Yay! I can't seem to get my stomach flat though....any suggestions. I do tons of cardio, weights, lots of different ab exercises, but seem to never get a flat stomach. I tend to gain weight there first...not in my butt or thighs....so perhaps I'm just more aware of it. Do you think it's diet rather than exercise

Beautiful wedding. Beautiful bride. My favorite part was you booty bumping that dude on the dance floor. How fun!!!

I keep coming accross cute stuff thats either not my size or I'm not going to be using.....I might as well share the fun shopping finds! eBay: Beach wedding, starfish Tiara (item 110147391999 end time Jul-18-07 17:47:17 PDT) Hopefully there isn't just one.....otherwise ya'll will have to fight for it....sorry

Is everyone doing favors?
Amy&Andy replied to MsShelley's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
We are doing OOT bags with lots of goodies then one little favor at the place settings at the reception. I'm using large straw fans for the ceremony, then the mini ones for the place settings. I'm thinking of putting these little candles as favors at the place settings...they are cute and decorative. They come with the tag that says thank you; and I will probably add a little tag or ribbon with our colors. Sand and Shell Tealight Holder - As Low As $2.23 each -
It's so amazing to hear that a lot of us gals don't get that "It's the dress feeling." I'm really glad to hear that because I thought I was going nuts. Thanks for all the good advice! I am going to keep looking for something less expensive; because in reality....it wasn't the perfect dress.....and for that amount of money....I could afford a whole years worth of Foverer 21 outfits...sheesh! Thanks again....keep telling me about your dress experiences..it helps so I know what to look out for
-
Yeah Kate...thanks for sending me to Labelleelaines......thats where I found this ridiculously expensive dress! That place was so amazing though! Hellooooo....runway.....lights.......huge dressing rooms. Which dress did you buy btw...I never saw your posts with pics before I'm going to Kirkland on Friday for two more places...we'll see.

I also booked the sunrider sunset cruise for our rehearsal dinner option. We will have no more than 30 ppl and the price I got was between 1500 and 1700 from what I remember. That included the cruise, mexican buffet, and domestic bar. I thought that was a really reasonable price for a boat, food, and drinks. That is the only "event" so far that we have booked. We will host a welcome dinner/cocktail party at our resort since it is AI...and shouldn't cost too much.....I hope. My future FIL is a huge fisherman so he is paying for a boys fishing trip...girls maybe a spa trip for the tootsies. We'll see......
