  1. OH WOW! You have totally made me reconsider my decision to not do a TTD. Those were so so so pretty. I think the major waves and chaos made the shots really special and unique. I love them! I can't even pick a favorite!
  2. Discounted rates for BDW memebers I still need rooms! Work it girl!
  3. Gosh Julie you are doing so good!!!! I'm jealous you have a personal trainer. Somehow I just think our local YMCA trainers aren't worth my money.....I could probably train them! I'm still on track.....On day three in a row of cutting calories and working out for 1.5 hours everyday! I'm trying get down to about 115 or so before BD pics in Sept. I'm getting so excited I can hardly stand it! FI thinks I look "too skinny" but he can eat it because I'm not trying to look any less than H.O.T for my pictures. I swear it's 50% for me and 50% for him. I will probably never look like this again in my life! I'm already planning on eating a fatty piece of chocolate cake or something else decadent after my pics! I'm not into rewarding myself with food but I will give myself a treat after working my booty off.....litterally! My hard work will pay off, I just know it!
  4. I did pretty good this weekend. I did my Sat am spin class for 60 min then went to the elliptical for 15 since I felt like I needed to work a bit more standing up rather than hunched over. I walked for about 45 min on Sunday and am going tonight after work for my weights and more cardio. I feel like I've hit my plateu so I need to change it up over the next 30 days before my BD pics on Sept 1st. Yikes!
  5. So beautiful! My absolute favorite is the black and white one where he is kissing your shoulder. That is just stunning! I'm happy you finally can enjoy these gorgeous pictures! They turned out amazing!
  6. Go to TravelByJen : Travel agency specializing in discount travel and personal service We got a deal through them for 7 nights at El Presidente in Los Cabos (AI) for only 900 total for the both of us (this was last December)! They have quite a few last minute deals on there. I would definately check it out. The arrangements were totally seamless and included transportation to and from airport as well. El Presidente is a nice AI for a site visit.....not the greatest for a wedding perhaps, but we had a really nice and relaxing vaca there.
  7. I eat exactly the same thing every morning..... 1 dannon vanilla carb control yogurt (60 calories; 5g protein) with about 1 cup of berries (either frozen or fresh) usually strawberries and blueberries which I cut up and pre-bag on Sundays for the whole work week. On weekends I make a bigger breakfast sometimes: 1/2 cup oat bran nuked with cinnamon, splenda, frozen blueberries and vanilla whey protein powder added. About 250 calories.
  8. Thank you for your story. It is lovely to be reminded that true love does exist in everyday life, and especially in lifes most awful tragedies. You two are very lucky to be blessed with this love and also with the love of your families. Congratulations and have the most wonderful time at your wedding. I hope you get a chance to celebrate and have some fun!
  9. I havn't taken a "real day" off of working out since Wednesday of last week. I consider Sunday kind of a day off because I went hiking with my FI's best buds wife. We did a 4.2 mile hike that was pretty tough but I wasn't dripping sweat and I didn't do my normal weights. I did 50 min of cardio and then weigths and abs last night because I had made a batch of choc chip cookies for my FI who was horribly hungover on Sunday.....of course I ate more dough than he did cookies. Lovely idea.....what is with me and sweets! I'm still on really good track though. I lost maybe the equivalent of 5 or 7 lbs...even though muscle weighs more than fat....so I go off of inches and sizes rather than weights. I think/feel like I gained back a little after my weekend of entertaining the frat boys. Trying to work that off this week hopefully.......good job everyone. This keeps me on track big time hearing everyone else kicking butt!
  10. gorgeous pics. gorgeous couple. gorgeous kiddos!
  11. Yay! Beware your neck will start hurting from always staring at your ring! It is so so so beautiful. I'm glad you got exactly what you wanted. I love that you immediately went and got your nails done! I did that too!!!! Congrats on the well deserved and well waited for engagement! Welcome to the club!
  12. RedEnvelope - entire collection This site has some nice personalized gifts to choose from. Maybe if she's into jewelery it would be cool to give her a necklace or bracelet with the birthstones of both of you along with her two girls. Also.....sometimes people like time together more than gifts....perhaps plan a weekend away to a spa....or something for the two of you to spend time together. You could then present it to her with some nice spa products, slippers, monogrammed robe....etc. Just an idea.....
  13. You're cute! Blue Blue Blue all the way! Save the white for dinner during your wedding week.

Oh yeah.....I forget it must be a WA state deal. My bad. Here I got ya'll drooling. However that peanut sauce is alwasy a hit.....everyone always asks me how I make it. It's good on all sorts of stuff....brocoli, green beans, rice, chicken satay........
  15. Oh speaking of lettuce wraps. If you guys live near a Safeway they have a new line of foods called "eating right" that makes really good frozen lettuce wrap mix. It's in the frozen meal section and is only like 70 calories per wrap. It comes with the chicken mixture and these little crunchy rice things. All you add is the lettuce cups and then I make a really good peanut sauce to drizzle on them: *2tbs creamy peanut butter *1/4 cup of really hot water *soy sauce to taste *Siracha sauce (the red squeeze bottle "cock sauce") *red wine or rice wine vinegar (usually add about two cap fulls) *sesame oil (about a cap full) Start with the peanut butter in a mixing bowl. Add a bit of hot water a little at a time until you get the right consistency. Add the rest of the ingredients to taste.....so easy.....so tasty!
  16. Drug my booty to the gym at 5am today and did 40 min eliptical and 30 min weights! We are having two of my FI's old college frat buddies out to stay with us at our new house this weekend. I knew I had to sneak my workout in before the beer and dreaded chips and nuts come out tonight. I'm cooking chicken enchiladas with green chile sauce and mexian rice for them tonight and homemade stuffed manicotti with ceasar salad and brushetta tomorrow. I always fall off the wagon on weekends when we entertain so I'm going to try and do spin class first thing tomorrow am to get that out of the way. We'll see if that happens after a bottle of wine tonight.... Wish me luck hanging with the three stooges.....I just love being the only girl stuck reliving the old Sigma Chi days with these fellas.....lord.... BTW....good job Miss Cessy! Kate..I'm going to try and break up my cardio too...I used to do that but then the machines would be full and I'd just go home...whoops.
  17. Wow it looks like you aren't the only one torn! The votes are almost 50/50. I for one like the look of the first one. It looks like it would stand up the best to moving around and also seems the most flattering. I like the lower back and cut of the train. If your FI is wearing a tux this will look much more appropriate. Good choices! I love Nicole Miller dresses!
  18. Oh I'm a pro at this....... For lunches I usually eat a healthy frozen meal or low sodium soup. I will add about a cup of frozen veggies (some variety mix) to them to make them healthier....and keep me more full. I also pre bag baby carrots on Sundays so they are easy to grab when I need a snack during the work week. For dinner we sometimes grill veggie kabobs with whatever we have left in the fridge. It's usually a combo of pepper, onions, brocoli, tomotos....whatever you have. It's low fat, since you don't have to use any oil....and I just sprinkle grill seasoning or Mrs. Dash salt free stuff. Yummy

Container Fat Free Cool Whip 1/3 Cup Reduced Fat Creamy (or Chunky) Peanut Butter 1/4 Cup Hershey's Light Chocolate Syrup Line a 12 cupcake pan with cupcake holders (foil ones work best). Top each cup with a dollop of chocolate syrup. Freeze. Serves: 12 Per Peanut Butter Cup: 73 Calories; 2g Fat, 2g Protein; 10 carbs, Fiber: 0g (2 WW points if you're counting) OMG....pb and chocolate are my all time favs. I actually asked my FI if I could buy sugar free peanut butter syrup to add to everything I eat since I am so obsessed with it. If I can find a healthy way to enjoy....I'm all in! Thanks for the recipe!

    Hi!

Oh yes beware! We should start a pooled fund for if one of us gets fired for being on the forum at work. You will love all of the great info here! Good luck planning and congrats!
  23. OMG I love that! I needed a serious giggle first thing this morning. I was seriously cracking up. Now we just need to find one to "this is why I'm hot" featuring some old man or something..........Thanks for the giggle!
  24. I'm a nut. I went to gym yesterday morning and did 45 min of cardio then went back after work and tried this "power hour" class that supposidly is for weight training (which I do on my own with free weights). The dude that was teaching it was such a tool. I wanted to giggle so bad the whole time because he was going on and on about how he loves kelly clarkston and then he was mouthing the words to some old 80's song...sounds like "om-i-day-us" its that one with the french looking guy in the old school video. Anyways...you had to be there. I was the only one under 40 in the class. Needless to say it was a joke and I won't be going again. Back to my normal workout today! At least I tried something new. I'm at 4 straight days again....going for 6 this week.
  25. Don't worry! You will get all the help you need from this forum. There a lots of brides who can offer great advice and tips. Enjoy and congrats on your engagement!
