  1. I know that when we went to Cabo last year we found some good deals from the Red Roof Inn......which is very close to the airport. They offerd free parking for one week and one night hotel stay for around 100 bucks or so. That also included a shuttle to the airport in the morning. If you google Seattle airport hotel with parking you can find some good offers. They pretty much all have a shuttle to the airport, and some have underground garage parking, which would be ideal. Good luck!
  2. Hi Sara, I just replied to your PM with info on my budget and cost of everything I'm doing for the 7 nights. Hope it helps you out! Good Luck!
  3. Happy Birthday Chica! Hope you have something fun planned for the big Friday night! Yippee!
  4. We just hosted a huge cocktail party at our house and I made sure to serve lots of healthy apps for my girlfriends who all seem to be dieting for something......I made: *Crockpot orange cranberry meatballs (I bought the lean turkey ones) *Lettuce wraps with a premade (Safeway Eating right brand) teriyaki and veggie filling with peanut sauce drizzled on top *Marinated chicken skewers with peanut dipping sauce (I have homemade recipe for this that is very good and low sugar) *Tortellini skewers with spinach filled tortellini and sun dried tomatos skewered on a toothpick For dessert we had chocolate fondue (can use dark chocolate or semi-sweet to make healthier) with various dippers (could make it healthier by using strawberries, bananas, and whole wheat pretzels went over well at our party) It was fun, people were impressed, and I woke up the next morning not feeling like a stuffed sausage. Did have a killer hangover though.
  5. Best exercises you can do for that I swear are: Push ups (gets rid of the armit thing); I just do sets of 10 on my knees Chest Flys (use the cable machine thingy) This gets your upper chest and armit area Weight row machine (Do both grips) I do 4 sets of about 12 (two on each grip) Easy squeezy...just do three sets of each and in two weeks I promise you wil notice a difference If you do cardio, do the elyptical with the arm movement (that will get your arms moving as well as your back. And if you don't go to the gym....well ignore all of my advice... and try the bra thing....it does make a huge difference.
  6. Oooh very pretty! It gives you a great hourglass figure. The halter is sexy and very flattering! congrats on getting the biggie off the list.....it is a great accomplishment!
  7. Are you kidding...your FMIL needs to stay home. Nothing could be more appropriate for a destination wedding than a dang passport! I think they look killer. Obviously you spent a great deal of time on those, and it totally paid off! They look stunning...love the colors, love the design. I would love to see more close up pics of the inside inserts. They look great. You should be very proud! To hell with FMIL...
  8. OOOh yes. I've been trying forever to find a good cabo rental place. I need so much stuff, and I feel like the prices I'm getting from my WC are jacked. 350 for the simple chuppah and around $45 for glass hurricanes. Craziness. I've googled cabo rental companies, etc. and can never find anything! Thanks for the info. I'm awaiting a quote as well. Post when you find out, I'm guessing its probably expensive by the looks of the stuff. Damn champange taste on my beer budget!
  9. Oh it is gorgeous on you! How wonderful you were able to buy the floor model and not have to wait! It looks beatiful...very romantic! Congrats on getting a killer deal too....sheesh that is a steal!
  10. In the same boat. I'm not religious at all but have to do the church legal ceremony back home after the destination wedding. Not my thing, but doing it for FI's mom and deceased grandma. Compromise I suppose.....they are giving up a traditional church wedding for us, so I can suck it up and wear white in a church...shudder shudder.... I think you should go for it. Do it on the day of your AHR if possible. It would mean a lot to him, so definately worth the extra planning.
  11. It is so confusing. I had a minor anxiety attack trying to figure it all out! I'm sure Tammy, the host of the forum/ and TA, will be able to break it down a bit more for you. She's the expert. My understanding is that you have to pay a fee for both your wedding location as well as the reception, if you choose to have it in different places. For guests not at Dreams it is around 85pp total (one time day pass fee). For guests staying at Dreams it is about 25pp/per event, or a one time fee of 50pp for the entire wedding. That includes bar, food, setup, etc. Hope that helps, I had trouble with this as well....but it does make sense once you figure it out.

  19. Welcome I like cookies......yum. I think your wedding is what you make of it...no matter where you have it. I don't think any of us are into cookie cutter weddings....obviously we want to escape that if we are all running off to Mexico. I'm sure you will find something to suit your needs.
