  1. glenda the good witch...ha....cute! That will look fabulous in photos! It is very pretty! Can't wait to see you in it!
  2. I got mine at the $1 store and Walmart I bookmarked this site though because they had all sorts of colors and styles: Vase Gems, Glass Marbles, Glass Decorative Ice Cubes, LED Cubes, Diamond Crystals, Balls, Sand, Seashells, Rocks, Stones
  3. My Mom's dress is from Nordstroms Muse Print Bead Babydoll Dress - - Nordstrom No other colors though.....bummer
  4. It was honestly really easy girls. My FMIL and I sat at her dining room table and just went to work for a solid two hours. So here are a few pointers. *Cut the strands of fishing line at about 7-8feet to allow for extra length to tie around whatever huppa they use *buy faux flowers that you can just pop off the bud from the greenery (Look for ones that have the plastic center that goes through the few layers of silk) *Start at the bottom and work your way up (we made sure the flowers were facing upwards *Take out the plastic middle, thread the fishing line through, then put the plastic middle back in with the fishing line already through it....it will make sense when you do it. This secures the flower in place, but you can still move it around *We were pretty sporadic with using small, large, and different colored buds...I like the look of it being a little less planned out. As far as traveling with them.....I had Andy take them down and wrap them very carefully around a piece of cardboard about two feet long, and one foot wide with all of the flowers nicely facing out, so as not to get squished. We will take them off and probably hang them to let them straighten back out when we get down there early in the week. Also, you can take a hair dryer to fishing line to get it straight.....that was actually Andy's idea....his great contribution Anyways...let me know if you need more details! It was fun!
  5. Ha Ha Ha Good lord...mom would be proud
  6. So....I am so pumped with how they turned out. We made 12 strands that are about 7-8 feet long.....to leave enough room to tie on the top of the huppah. It took us about 2 hours and a large Walmart bag full of faux orchids. We popped the top/buds off of them then strung the fishing line through and then put the little plastic center thing back into the flower to secure it. It sounds complicated...but we made our decision and figured out how to do it in about 5 minutes. I am so thrilled with how they look. They look nothing like faux flowers....they look like they are just floating......so pretty! I can't wait! This will save me time, money and decision making in attempting to use real flowers down in Cabo, which are ridiculously expensive!
  7. Wow. Very cool. Just what I need is to support my spending addiction a tad more for the wedding......Yipee.
  8. Here is my mom's dress: She is so stinkin cute she can pull off something little like this....it looks great on her. She's wearing a pretty cream/white colored wrap around for the evening.
  9. Wow Lauren. You obviously put a great deal of time, work, and effort into your projects and it definately paid off. Everything looks fabulous! I'm so excited to see it all come together. Have a wonderful time!
  10. We are puting them together this weekend using faux flowers from Walmart....ha ha. My wedding is so Cheapoglam....I have such champange tastes but am way too "frugle" to pay full price for anything. I'll let you know how they turn out on Monday. You guys should see my "wedding closet" It is so jam packed of deals and steals; such a madwoman. I'm more than willing to pass everything along to another bride.....as long as her colors are ice blue and silver!
  11. I agree with what Tammy said...when you factor in the food/drink/event costs you are really saving A LOT! of $$$$.....the room prices are high, but you are getting the wedding portion for practically nothing compared to location venues elsewhere. It is a good value.
  12. Shelley you need to change your name to mastergoogler.....you are such a little Sherlock mystery solver...hee hee!

It will be an interesting project. Thanks again gals

  15. I know my explanation was terrible....maybe thats why I can't find it myself....goodness gracious......hanging flowers blowing in the wind on a mexican huppah...geez wonder why that google search didn't work.....
  16. OK...just now seeing this. I actually said "oooohhhh" out loud to picture 5 and 6...the sparkly halter one. You look great! That one is definately my favorite...but goodness woman you look amazing in all of them. You have a great body....not fair! Its no wonder you are having a hard time choosing....but I just adore that halter one (pic 5/6)
  17. Ok ladies.....I rarely ask for help unless I'm totally desperate. I've searched the forum high and low and can't find the picture of the huppah/wedding canopy that has the strings of flowers hanging from the back of it. I even searched google images and still can't find anything! I know I've seen an example somewhere.....it looks similar to the one with the capiz shells...but they are various lengths of flowers on string. I'm getting together with my FMIL to possibly string some silk flowers for the huppah this weekend and god forbid she should do anything without seeing a visual of it first. I appreciate the help ladies! Thanks much!
  18. Big Bummer! I'm sure you will find something very soon though. Marketing is a good place to be! I work for Coldwell Banker as their Director of Marketing and I can tell you there is a great need for marketing professionals in the Real Estate industry. It isn't a place most people think to look with marketing degrees. You may want to check out the big name Real Estate companies in your area. Just a thought! Enjoy a few days off to relax then get down to that job search!
  19. Great colors! Love those shoes. Love the BM dresses....it will look smashing all put together!
  20. Well since I live outside of the city and my group health coverage area I have to pay cash, but I'm on a sliding scale and only pay 29.00 per visit. It is by far worth it to spend the money on your health. I was kind of thrown off at first about spending that every week, but I feel tremendously better. He said if I don't get it taken care of now I could have a lot of issues later in life....especially with carrying a baby...so it was a no brainer....I'd spend double or tripple!
  21. Morgan I have this exact problem and I have only recently starting seeing a chiropractor. Basically, the leg being shorter is a response to something else going on with your alignment. My hips are quite a bit off from eachother (a few centemeters) which will affect your legs and back as well. I also have a few vertibraes that are starting to fuse a bit on my lower spine. I didn't find any of this out until a few months ago after I was having ridculous hip pain on my right side after I would do hard runs or walks/workouts. Squats really hurt alot as well. My chiropractor says I have mild scoliosis and it is possibly something I've had since birth or a very young age. You should go and see a chiropractor asap. I can't belive I waited so long to awknowlege how much pain my hips had. I figured I had just worked out too much. Anyways.....long story, but that is how it started for me too. Every time I go in he measures if the difference in my legs has changed at all. It is helping so much to see him on a weekly basis. I was pissed at first because I felt like the girl who is in perfect health....and then to find out I'm all off in alignment was maddening! Good luck...let me know if you have any questions.
  22. Oh gorgeous! And what a steal there lady! I think the sweetheart neckline will look fabulous. It is a great cut....very flattering and sexy!
