We are about 90% sure we wanna stay at the Riu. A friend of mine was down there this weekend doing site visits in Cancun and Playa, so I am waiting for her to get back to me with the scoop. I really wish we could do site visits too...we may just have to take a mini vacation this summer.

This place looks beautiful and is getting pretty good reviews. Anyhow know anything about it? I am not sure if they do weddings there though because when I click on a wedding location, this resort is not listed.

Pictures are very important to me. Having been married before, I can honestly say I didn't really remember the wedding and reception because of all the excitement and nerves. The pictures will help to remember the great event. With that being said, I don't just want "ordinary" pictures. I admit, I like the fact that touch-ups can be done and colors can be brightened, etc... We are getting an AMAZING deal. We are getting a $7k wedding package for practically free. All we are paying for is travel. Well, and of course we will pay for any and all prints we want. My best friend is a wedding planner in Austin and sends a lot of brides to this photographer. She even did the best friend/wedding planner's wedding. She is very sweet and does amazing work.

I think they are good, but I think adding a little green would be good too. Mexico's flag is red, white and green....adding the greeen would give it some color, plus make the invite more colorful. What kind of paper are you using?

I don't think I am....I did at my first wedding. But, that was also in a Catholic church. I don't think the veil made me feel more "bridal" at all. I have seen some very beautiful pictures ruined because the veil was in the bride's face. I think it's going to be too windy. Oh, I don't know...maybe I will change my mind once I find a dress I like. I am so indecisive these days.

I don't think I have seen anyone else getting married here?

I really wanted to make an STD with our picture and then just one of their designs for the postcard.

Actually, if you uploaded one of your pictures for a magentic STD, how did you do it? The only thing I can figure out is how to make my picture fit the entire area of the STD. How do I just put it in one little section of the STD? I don't want the text to be over our faces. ha! I hope this makes sense...
