  2. Lighter blue. My best friend is a WC and she told me the other day the "hot" thing is the aqua blue (actually more of the "Tiffany" blue) with red. But, that's just a suggestion.
  3. OMG. I just Googled Grand Velas. It is beautiful!!! I may have to change my locations (AGAIN!!!). Congrats!
  4. Those of you that already had a symbolic ceremony, did you need to take your birth certificate?
  5. That's what I figured....it was worth a shot though. Does anyone know if we have to take a birth certificate if we are only having a symbolic ceremony? I have 3 diff. last names and it gets so confusing, Plus, I am divorced and that is another reason we are having the symbolic ceremony over there...too much paperwork and hassle with translating everything.

My best friend just did it online because it was convenient and fast in case she needed to marry one of her brides. I would love this! As soon as I find out, I will let you know!
  7. Will you consider the day you had your ceremony in Mexico your anniversary or the date you actually got married in the States? My best friend is ordained (she is a wedding planner and most of them get ordained just in case there is ever a problem with the minister, preacher, justice of the peace, or whatever not showing up) and she is going to be the one to marry us after we get back from Mexico. We will just have a symbolic ceremony there.... But, the date we are choosing to have the symbolic ceremony is the date we really wanna get "married." Like, legally. However, it's going to have to be a date than we originally wanted just to avoid all the hassle of getting legally married in Mexico. So, which date will you celebrate?
  8. I am a teacher, so I only get to play when my kids are in P.E. or lunch. Blah!
  9. This is one place we are looking into...Cabo is out of the question now. In order to find out about a wedding there, do I really have to fill out the request form? I did that the other day but have not heard anything back yet. Thanks!
  10. Are you stalking me? JUST KIDDING! We are leaning more towards to RPRM. I just want pictures of some weddings there. Do you know where I can find any?
  11. It's a toss up between these two. If you are staying at one of these, why did you pick this one and not the other? Pics? Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks so much guys!
  12. I know at the Riu in Cabo you can have your reception at one of the restaurants and pay a small fee....anyone know if this is possible at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya? What about dancing can we do this at the same place? Thanks!
  13. Does anyone know if they might be done with construction by next summer? I know the "new" Riu is suppose to be done this winter. Anyone?
  14. Probably 25-30 guests. After hours on the computer I think we decided against these 2 places. Nothing really jumped out at me when viewing the pictures on their website. Do you have different pictures? So, you have to get ready at your resort then walk (?) to the other one for the wedding/reception?
  15. So far I understand that the Jalisco has a gazebo and the Riu Vallarta does not. Correct? What about other wedding locations at either? We are at a stand still because we are switching from Cabo to PV (or maybe Playa...eeeh!). Also, what about receptions. What are the options at both? Thanks!
