  1. All liquor pricing I have found in Los Cabos so far is about 4x more expensive than in the States, and haven't had much luck negotiating (obviously alcohol is where they make their margin)...so we're going with beer, margaritas, Cokes & water for our Welcome Dinner (but that's because we'll have 125 people there!) No need for our guests to have a full open bar when we'll be providing that at the reception. Oh, and we're doing it all on consumption, the dinner at Mi Casa and our reception. I have attached the beverage pricing, in case anyone needs it, it's at the end of the document! Mi Casa Grupos Pricing.doc
  2. Angela, We are using their group menus, Menu A, so the price is set prior to the event, but it still gives our guests the ability to choose their meal!
  3. Oh Maria, I'm so glad it went well! You've made me so excited for my wedding! No fair that I'm out of town on business and can't stay on this forum longer!
  4. Oh, I can't decide if I should work this in the budget or not!?!?! Such a good memory, and think of the pictures...but for a few minutes...it's too difficult to decide! Great information though!
  5. Tammy, I think it looks fabulous because it looks very natural. I'm a huge fan of natural makeup, and especially for big events. I don't want to look like someone else in pictures, I want to look like me, but just a bit better & more glamorous! I think you can absolutely recreate on your own. Did they do the drawing where they tell you exactly what was done on each area? That always helps! Anyway, I think you look great!

  7. We found this map to be useful when looking at the location of resorts in T&C.
  8. Some information from Parrot Cay! Parrot Cay resort map.pdf

  10. I figured someone out there might be interested in all of this wedding information I have from the Wynn. The Wedding Coordinator, Mildred, was wonderful to work with (even though we ended up choosing to get married in Los Cabos!) 11. We went to a wedding in San Miguel last year and in the OOT bags was abuelita (the hexagonal box like Merryme mentioned) and this funky hot chocolate contraption. The bride said it's a hot chocolate frother that is used often to make the hot chocolate. Sort of like a whisk, and a spoon and a stick. Well, whatever it is and whatever it is supposed to do, it was very cool and I use it for decoration now in our kitchen since it's so pretty. It's wooden and very intricate. Just my two cents! For a smaller wedding it would be a very impressive thought.
  12. Thanks Janet, this will be perfect for our guests!
  13. fogdog, I'm sorry that Plan A didn't work out as you hoped...but you gotta stick with your gut instinct! I'm trying to negotiate now about whether FA is going to honor the Orbitz & Travelocity rates that I found... Best of luck to you in the Plan B planning! Keep us all posted on how it goes!
  14. Tammy, I think this is a wonderful idea. I'm going to offer it to our guests, for those that don't like the sit by the beach & do nothing! Thanks for the information!
  15. Here is a presentation Alejandra forwarded me after I requested some information about their inventory. Hope this helps!
  16. This is my dog, Judd, he's a Brittany and almost 5 years old! He's a genius! He was cranky because I woke him up for a picture, he likes his sleep! And this is my fiance's bulldog, Tug (like Tug Boat!) He's stubborn as hell, but you gotta love that face!
  17. How creepy! I cannot imagine just watching tv and seeing that! Gives me goosebumps, but in the creepy way, not the good way! Ick!
  18. Here's my engagement ring, we haven't picked out the wedding band yet, but it will probably be a very thin pave band.
  19. I didn't even know that existed! Thanks Tammy, now my wedding & honeymoon dates on are it!
  20. I'm going to chime in too! I think it's more about the feeling you get in the dress than what it actually looks like and where the ceremony will be (beach, winter, church, etc). I wanted a very simple dress, no pick ups or anything on the bodice, and when I tried on my dress (which I didn't like in the dressing room!) I fell in love! Honestly, I was like a little schoolgirl with it on...but I didn't buy it. I went back a month later to try it on again, and another that I really liked (which was also less expensive) and was trying so hard to pick the less expensive dress. But when I put it back on...my face lit up again. You just know it when you try it on. And no matter how much time passes, it feels the same as it did the first time you try it! As they said on Friends, there should be a job where we could wear our wedding dress every day! It just feels great to have it on!
  21. Ok, it's official, I'm just going to make the reservation and be done with it! I don't want to keep worrying about it, because no matter who I use, I can't control the outcome now, and so I'll just take a chance with Hive! Thanks for all of the opinions, I really appreciate the comments. And whichever way my hair turns out, there will be a review on this forum! Now, I just have to find a hairstyle to use as an example...
