Ohmygosh Paula I wasn't trying to make you feel guilty at all, I just meant that the other thread doesn't help me, b/c I won't go and report when I don't work out or need motivation! So sorry!!! But, if you're game, we'd love to have you! I promise, no pinching! -

I've seen that thread, and it's great for me if I workout, but I need a little more accountability for someone to say, HEY JILL, have you worked out!!?!? But when I do work out, that's the perfect place to feel good about it! -
So I'm 10-11 weeks out before I have my first fitting for my gown, and that's plenty of time to make some serious workout progress. The only problem is, I can only seem to fit in like 2-3 workouts a week. I need someome to hold me accountable...does anyone else feel the same way Nothing annoying or anything, just someone to say, hey, did you workout, you said you were doing XY&Z this week, how did it turn out, etc. We could just use this thread, or PM or whatever works. HELP!

Plus, her familiy wouldn't let her microwave it while they were at the house because it smelled so bad (think they said dog food?!). She went back to Jenny Craig and loved it...guess she had done JC before and really really liked their food, so it's probably a nice transition. what kind of cake are you having?
jak27 replied to tvt's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
We're going to have four different flavors, one on each layer. And we're definitely going to have: *Vanilla - yum, cannot go wrong! *Marbe of choclate & vanilla *Maybe lemon, yum! *And I really one one layer, even if it's the smallest one, with Nutella in it, either as a layer between two chocolate or vanilla pieces, b/c I just love it! There's nothing better in the world than hazelnut & chocolate! Now I'm craving something sweet! -
I'm getting lasik next Friday and am so excited! But the Dr. mentioned that depending upon what type of lasik you have (meaning all lasers, or some cutting with a machine, etc) effects the amount of healing time you need, especially night vision. For example, she said that people who have ungone lasik using the laser now to actually make the flap take longer to heal and experience more night vision issues like halos and stars than those that use the sliding machine-thingy to make the flap. I'm going laser all the way, b/c I'm scared to death of the machine that looks like a lawn mower go over my eyeball, so I'm anticipating having at least 3 weeks of night vision effects until they heal fully. Keep us posted, so I can see how you progress!

Target - $0.99 J&J First Aid To Go Kits

I cannot leave that place without spending at least $50 each time...yesterday I had to put back two memory foam pillows, two pairs of shoes and a bubble machine (for our dog) b/c I had already done so much damage! And just FYI, if you're ever at Target and find something you need more of, scan it on the price scanner and it'll tell you where the item is located in the store and if there are more in the stockroom or not...just a tip! -
Just FYI, my FI & I were at SuperTarget this morning and stumbled upon Johnson & Johnson mini First Aid To Go Kits for $0.99 each! What a find! Here's what the look like: JOHNSON & JOHNSON First Aid Kits Great addition to the OOT, but I couldn't find them for less than $2.50 online! I'm thrilled! FYI, they were not in the dollar section, but instead were on an end cap in the pharmacy, toiletry section along with other travel mini-sized items like travel Kleenex, Purell, etc.

We have a bride, Elizabeth (lpvbride) getting married in August (?) or late July...maybe she'll chime in for ya. But from what I've seen and heard (had two good friends honeymoon there), it's phenomenal. We looked there, but can only accomodate up to 60 people if I remember correctly for an event. Let us know how your planning continues though!

Congratulations! Enjoy your time because you deserve it!

Beach Ceremony - no chairs - is this a big deal?
jak27 replied to Alyssa's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We weren't going to have chairs initially, and we're expecting anywhere from 100-150 people. But in the end, we're actually having benches, so the beach looks less cluttered than with a chair for every body. I think you'll be fine w/o chairs, especially being that it's a beach wedding. But, I love the look of this wedding, they used ottomans instead of chairs, and in a serpentine aisle. Love it! Just an aside. Yes, I absolutely give a gift when invited to a wedding. Even if I don't attend, I still make sure and send something. I think the rule is a year after the wedding is acceptable, but I try to do it about a month after, so the couple is home from the honeymoon, back in their routine, etc, and surprise, a gift!

Insuring your Engagement Ring

Really great advice, Michelle. Since my FI did the insurance, I'm going to double check and make sure we have appropriate coverage. You're the best! -
Insuring your Engagement Ring
jak27 replied to bethtamar's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
We have my ring insured through USAA and love it. My FI was in the Navy, so he has access to USAA and they are so fabulous! Very inexpensive, and for our homeowner's insurance it's like $3,000 less a year that what State Farm offered us. If anyone has access to USAA, use it! On a random note, my finance even bought my engagement diamond from USAA, super high quality (I know it sounds weird) but it's a hearts & arrows ideal cut and gorgeous, and they have flexible payment options as well. [Ok, stepping down from my USAA speech!] -

jak27 replied to ~Melissa~'s topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I totally agree with Heidi re: stir fry, it's impossible to not get your veggies that way! Also, I love making fritattas, but with loads of veggies sauteed in Pam or a little bit of olive oil, and add egg beaters and broil until done. YUMMY! -
What's your favorite creative healthy snack???
jak27 replied to Amy&Andy's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I'm obsessed with Quakes now that I've tried them. They're too high in carbs for a big snack, but if I get an urge for something sweet or salty, they're perfect. And my FI loves them too! Also, Adora Calcium Supplement, they're not really a snack, but are perfect in the afternoon when you want something sweet. The Dark Chocoalte is perfect. And I get my calcium in w/o having to worry about it. -
That is hilarious. Thanks for waking me up this morning!
