  1. here is a thread I started about this at least for the wording.... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13339
  2. what about cards & poker chips or something. I was thinking about doing this if they wanted to play poker at night in the hotel rooms.
  3. The same thing happened to me. my FMIL wanted to go and kept asking (we already don't have a great relationship and she only wanted to go because he wanted to voice her opinion AGAIN) Anyway I just told her it was something my mom and I wanted to do together, that is was something we had been looking forward to for a while. I didn't mention that my two other friends also went but that seems to work!

Off subject- I went to Target yesterday and in the $1 section they have spanish for dummies and sudoko books. I bought the spanish for dummies. I was there too and bought those!!! What a great find and perfect for OOT bags. The shipping from cheaptotes was really fast too! The iron on transfer paper works perfect from them too....I just didn't order enough the first time. I will post a picture of mine when I get home to show you too!

Has anyone done this before? I Have not heard of anyone having their reception on the beach...at least from what I can remember. I do remember seeing photos of a wedding where they had tables on the beach and it looked really nice. They had some type of light underneath them so it looked lit up, really cool! If so, what is your feedback? Is music permitted out there? What about if it rains? I would ask Yesica if there is a backup plan if it were to rain....maybe they can have an option for you. Knowing my luck...this will happen. I am following up with Yessica but wanted to be sure. Also--cost wise, I understand that ceremony/cocktail is $25pp, and reception is also $25pp. Are linens included? The while chair covers & white table clothes & napkins are included. If you want the chair ties, Yesica quoted me $1 each for those. I believe the tablecloths if you want another on top of the white it is $10 each. Might want to double check that number though. She sent me photos and the chairs had nice coverings with ribbon tied in the back? Is this an additional fee? -Did your guests stay at other hotels? If so, did they just have to pay the daily entrance fee? If you guests aren't staying at the hotel you have to pay a day pass which I think is now $89 if I remember correctly. Would anyone mind sharing with me a breakdown of what their Dreams wedding actually cost? I understand that this may be sensitive...please email me at [email protected] There are options for having hurricanes on the tables, tiki torches, lighting, entertainment, flowers....what were you looking for in particular? Thank you so much in advance. If you have any other questions please feel free to send me PM! [
  6. Wow that hotel looks amazing...how exciting!!
  7. Wow congratulations!!! That is always a great feeling to know what you are doing is working!!

Juan, my photographer, suggested Cascada over Oceana saying there was more lighting at Cascada for pictures. My pictures from a regular camera turned out dark in the background. If you weren't more than 5 feet away from the person then the pics turned out decent. All the pics from Juans camera turned out awesome. Guess it pays to have an expensive camera!! But as far as lighting for having a reception, there is plenty of it. They hang spot lights from the palm treees so you can see. No worries!! Have you posted your pictures from Juan on here? I would love to see them as I am sure all the other ladies on here too if you didn't mind!
  9. I havent gotten the ball yet Jen, I will let you know when..I am excited about it. I have been to the gym 5 times last week and I am going again tonight. The dress shopping really helped me realize I need to keep up on the workouts and the healthy eating!! Exactly 5 months to go today!!
  10. I booked Suzanne's spa to do my hair & make up as well....I have been talking to Paulina but I was just under the impression that she or someone else would be doing my hair, not Suzanne herself. That probably doesnt help a whole lot but just my experience so far with her. Plus I only put a $100 deposit down to hold my date to have them come to Dreams.

  15. I havent talked to the customer service center because they are closed on the weekends. I think they should refund us the money since they changed the flight and with some on the people on staying 3 days...getting there at 6pm on the first day pretty much doesnt work. I will let you know what happens tomorrow...hopefully I can get it refunded and find a similar flight with the same type of rate!
  16. both of them are beauitful but I do like the first one too!! Are you leaning towards getting that one? I can't remember what you said about the return policy on the other one sorry.
  17. I am so mad right now. I had found a great flight out for most of our guests on Alaska Air getting us to Cabo by 11:30am! We got a discount too! So almost 20 of them booked on here....well tonight we went to give someone the information to book on this flight...and it wont show it. I called the airline and they canceled that flight and moved everyone to a flight that doesnt get in till 6:00pm. I am so mad...now we either have to deal with that or cancel the flights and find new ones! I am so frustrated by all of this!!
