Trash the Dress....yes or no???
Matt Adcock replied to sojahseh81's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
What a huge honor it is to have you comment and say these wonderful words! Thanks for following us on FB. Our FB Fan page gets updated almost daily too, for anyone interested. To answer your questions.... 1. color UW really really makes a difference, but just a simple white will be amazing. This bride had a pink dress... WE LOVE Color. Think about it though, you could add color by adding a wrap or a longer piece of fabric. Also try adding an accent of color with the shoes 2. Eyes open is a good idea, pretty much makes a big difference BUT its not a killer. We have lots of folks close eyes due to contacts, etc. I do try to encourage opening though keep in mind its fresh water, so it doesnt burn like swimming in the ocean or a pool. I shot another Adam and Even style TTD yesterday, she had Lasik and we even had this convo and she was SO SO SO at ease because of it...probably a super suggestion if time allows. Even if you don't get it, we will help you. OH, regarding your "uneasyness" showing... remember where we are and what we are doing. If that doest make one uneasy because of how far outside the box it is, then there is something wrong. Key is that you enjoy yourself... we take care of the rest amiga! My advice is to play in the water each chance you get, practice exhaling your air on the surface then going underwater... here comes the summer in North America so you can swim and go swimming and practice some Cheers amiga! -
Hola Jamie, I remember listening to your message on our machine... we had 3 weddings on the saturday you called to ask advice about the WC's demands on a decision. I would have told you to go w / your gut and likely tough it out as you obviously decided to do, even against the scare factor of "choose now or it will be forever cancelled" approach. They are trained to put the ultimatum down I guess.... Your day was amazing...the images are stellar, happy to be sharing some sneak peeks with you soon. Sorry again I wasnt there to answer your question on Saturday the 21st amiga... Cheers and will be in touch soon matt

This wedding slideshow is a must to watch, no matter what, we recommend hiring THIS VERY Mariachi crew... wow, they are amazing and include the guests and this kind of emotion is priceless. Gazebo Ceremony setup Lupita working the flowers. MY GOODNESS, His smile is 10 miles wide....Such an amazing expression. Slideshow

Hola MsPokran, Congrats on your upcoming wedding and welcome to the forum!! I think your day will be spectacular simply because of the love you surround yourself with, regardless of the details! Know that something in the plans may have a glitch - let's face it, what plans are ever flawless? Just plan enough to allow yourself to be stress free for your special day, but be flexible enough to let whatever happens, happen : ) Don't let anyone talk you out of having your ceremony start time be anything but 1.5 hours prior to sunset. This will give you great light for your ceremony, and even better sunset light for your beach portraits! Remember that this day is about you! Don't settle for things if you're not stoked on them! Throw yourself a party you'd be stoked to attend, and likely your guests will enjoy it too!!! Need some ideas?? Hello Now Jade Brides. I am stoked to have completed another super romantic Wedding Story at the Now Jade and wanted to share with you a few of my favorite images: Meet Pilar Rodriguez, the wonderful coordinator behind all of Now Jade's love stories: Kathy and Richard, thanks so much for trusting our vision. Pilar, thanks for your patience, dedication and a beautiful smile : ) To view this entire story, click HERE. Happy Planning!!! -
We did the same, for our own wedding we invited all the extended family and then figured that because of location and simple logistics, many wouldnt make it anyway and we ended up with a relatively small wedding (50ish guests). After seeing 1000+ weddings in Mexico, I noticed that groups are generally WAY WAY smaller than if the party was planned at the home of the client...and I ask them about this too, its nice to get feedback!

Hola Emily, Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!!! The symbolic ceremony is very similar to the legal one but with no legal binding. It's a great option for non-religious couples who wish to have a short 20 minute ceremony without having to go through blood tests and further paperwork : ) For your cocktail and reception hour I think it's a matter or working with your On Site Wedding Coordinator and getting creative. Here are some ideas: 1. Cocktail hour in the beach with appetizers and music (extra cost) 2. Semi-private reception dinner at the Mezzanine Section of the Chilli's Restaurant. Perfect spot for intimate receptions. Check out Alice + Ian's Wedding Story for more ideas!!! 3. Semi-private cocktail hour at the Lobby Bar or Theater. Know that this means that the area is shared with other guests but you can still request to have a few tables set-up for your group. This option worked great for Kit + Wayland 4. Reception at Bota Fogo Restaurant. You might be able to rent the restaurant to have a private reception with DJ here. It mostly depends on the hotel's occupancy and availability. Ask your WC. Good luck and happy planning!!!
