  1. Oh, you will have no problem getting all the advice and tips you need to help you pick a location. All of the ladies on this site are so very helpful! My FI and I went on a scouting trip in April and visited a few places and were able to narrow down our selection to three choices. Be sure to check out the threads in the Accomodation & Sites section as it will help you narrow down your initial choices. Happy to help in any way!
  2. Welcome to the forum! Your guests are going to have a wonderful time. We attended a DW in Playa a few years ago and EVERYONE had an awesome time!! Congratulations!

  5. These cakes are awesome!! Thanks all for sending all of the pics!!! Michelle, I think I'm going to do a combo cupcake tower and cake. A friend of mine had it at her wedding and it was really nice. She, also, used pink brown and cream for her colors, however, her she had a cherry blossome theme, which was incorporated into the cake and cupcakes.
  6. Congratulations on your wedding! Would love to see your pics!!

Ha! You're not alone. I, too, just booked my date...one week after yours and haven't booked anything else! I'm freaking out a bit but, don't worry, the ladies on this site have a wealth of info that will make the planning process go smoothly! Congrats and good luck with the planning!
  8. Hi Jane, Welcome and congratulations! Before we decided on Cabo for our DW, we were going to do our DW in Hawaii (Oahu). What island are you thinking about? I have a ton of info and informational packets for Oahu so feel free to PM me and I'll send your way! Congratulations!!

  11. I love Playa del Carmen. I attended a DW there a few years ago and even though we were stuck indoors due to a tropical storm, we had a phenomenal time. I can't help with your location ? but just wanted to say welcome to the forum and congrats on picking an awesome city to have your wedding.

    Hello hello!

Welcome to the site and congratulations!
  16. This is a bit overdue... Sooo, I've been with Mr. America for 6 + years (yes, I'll be Mrs. America--no joke!) and knew the big ? was going to be popped soon, however, did not think it would happen at our upcoming Italy trip. Anways, a couple of months later, during our 2 week trip to Italy, it happened--well, it almost didn't. He wanted to do it in Venice in a gondola but we had one hell of a day getting "lost" in Venice, which ended with me yelling at our gondola driver--clearly, wasn't the right time. Midways, through the trip, in Rome, we had a perfectly romantic night at a very private, sidewalk restaurant. We ended up at the Spanish Steps of Rome and Mr. America started to speak to me in Italian--he started with phrases that I was learning and understood, then it turned to the mushy stuff. When he got to the part about spending the rest of his life with me, I just had to ask for transalation becaue I REALLY wanted to be sure I knew what I was hearing. Anyways, he got down on his knee, pulled out my ring and did it. It was perfect--oh, and there just happened to be a guy playing a guitar 5 steps below us the entire time--so romantic and not planned!!

Our wedding is Nov 10th so we're dealing with the same sunset issues.
