The song holds a lot of meaning in my side of the family. It was first played at my step-brothers baby boy's funeral. He was a twin premie that passed away because he never recieved a liver transplant. He passed at almost 2 years old. It was played at my step-mom's mother's funeral when we released doves at her graveside. It was played at my dad's brothers funeral during a slideshow display. SO - if I played it I don't want it to feel morbid. I want to play it because it's beautiful, and because it means a lot to me to remember those who passed and to remember the beautiful occasion of our wedding day. Should I play the song? I am thinking of playing it for the bridal party and then switch to a spanish guitar song when I walk down the aisle. What do you guys think?? I'm in the minority here, that I wouldn't play the song. While it may hold lots of meaning to your family, it's not really wedding type of meaning, KWIM? I'd pick a song that will hold meaning to you for the rest of your life, that was your walking down the isle song. Just my opinion though! Ok, so serious question for you girls. I'm having crazy anxiety about this wedding. I just posted a thread on anti anxiety meds - which someone suggested to me today. I don't know. I don't want to be drugged up, but I'm afraid if I don't I'll be crazy nervous. I'm the kind of person that gets nervous waiting.... no matter what I'm waiting for. The other night FI and I were walking our dogs and talking about what we needed to get done and I got all tense and felt like I couldn't breathe. And just the thought of all those people staring at me, and me being the center of attention ALL day and ALL night, makes me sick to my stomach. I wish we would have just eloped....... On my way into work this morning I was literally saying "the wedding is 4 months away" over and over trying to get myself to believe it. Are you guys feeling this way? Do I talk to a DR and see what they say?

Today while coworkers/friends were asking me about the wedding, my stomach knotted up, and I was so anxious/nervous. Like I have been for the past weekish whenever people ask me about the wedding. The other day it was pretty bad - felt like I couldn't breathe, over this wedding. A coworker suggested getting some anti anxiety medicine for the big day. She took some on her day, and said it was a life saver. I'm not big into taking medicine, but I'm seriously considering some anti anxiety medicine, but I have no experience with it at all. And I don't want to be drugged up on my wedding day, but I also don't want to be a huge ball of stress/nerves. Has anyone done this? Or takes anti anxiety meds?

I almost sent you my 2 year old because he was messing with me when I was taping it up and when I threatened to send him to Arizona, he very happily said he wanted to go! I didn't work yesterday because I had to go to court as a witness to an attempted murder case. They continued the case till October 29th so I had some free time and went to Hobby Lobby. All of their wedding stuff is 50% off! I couldn't help myself and I bought a birdcage for cards for our AHR for $7! They have hair pins, clips, all kinds of stuff! I bought these cards for table numbers. They are this style Filigree
Favor Box
Ivory - Stationery, invitations, announcements and event accessories by Paper Orchid Stationery I couldn't find the actual items, but they are this style. I am going to use them as table numbers. I also got some rhinestone clusters on a thin silver wire to put into my bouquet. Oh - I also went and got my daughters sash and flower for her dress. Thats it for me! Ohh Did you take pictures of your dress? You know we want to see! A 2 year old would be great! I've always said I wanted kids when they were 2 or 3, and wanted to skip the baby stage! You've got a lot done lately! Must feel good

YAY!! Erica, be careful with those paintballs! FI went and had a bruise on his stomach for months! I dont' want you having a bunch of bruises for the wedding! The GM's wife ordered him a new shirt. So that was good. I hope it comes quick! I love my MOH - but she sucks! She is not a planner and she is planning my bach party and she just doesn't have it together. The invites went out, but she is not as oranized as me so she will have these girls running around at the last minute. She expects everyone to call her and no one has. I think no one wants to step on her toes and she is just waiting for them. Ugh! Should I smack her That's good about payroll bad bad about your MOH. Is she married?

I don't think I'm going to wear a necklace..we'll see though. I may get a bracelet. What are you guys wearing?? This is a really old quote, but somehow I missed this the first time! Are you wearing a necklace with these earrings? I really like the earrings. I can't decide on jewelry to save my life. So far I have 4 pairs of earrings and one necklace, and I can't decide on any of it!

So since you are a Bruce fan, I have to tell you a pretty funny story. About 5 years ago I was my friends date to a wedding in a town about 3 hours from us. I didn't know a single soul, aside from my friend. We went to the ceremony and there was a pretty decent lapse in time between the ceremony and the reception at the VFW. Being from out of town and not having a place to go, naturally we went to the VFW early to get some drinks. Turns out the bartender was very friendly and let us drink for free until the reception started. Then the reception had free beer. Ok you get the picture. Lots of beer. After the necessary first dances my friend and I get onto the dance floor and befriend the DJ. Fast forward an hour or so. And I've got the DJ playing song after song of Bruce. Meanwhile I have his MIC and am running around the reception dragging these random people on to the dance floor so they can sing Bruce with me. I ended up getting a pretty good group! Ha! He played Glory Days... hm... at least 3 times! And I sang, very loudly and badly to each and every one.... in the microphone none the less Ha, I was definitely "that girl" at that wedding!! Man, it was a good time!

i never even thought about brining receipts through customs... cross my fingers i guess. i'm putting some must have songs on cds and on my ipod. for example, I LOVE bruce springsteen and cannot imagine my wedding with out some Glory Days playing in the background. but other than the must haves, i'm leaving it up to the dj.
