  1. Hey girls. You definitely can't please everyone. DH's family was SOO against a DW, but we did what our hearts wanted for our wedding day. And in the end DH's parently actually really enjoyed themselves and even said the wedding was great. LC has the ability to turn non DW believers into believers

  6. i "trashed" THE dress. It was fun. My dress did not get damaged at all. And I laid on cobblestone streets, wood benches, stone sidewalks, rolled around in the sand, sat on an ice cream parlor floor, etc. i even trashed THE dress after i figured out it would probably end up see through when it got wet (silk, and it did become see through) but for me, I wanted to trash my actual wedding dress. hey another chance to wear it again! i don't regret one single second of the TTD. Some of my favorite pictures are from our TTD
  7. i got up and did a toast before all the other speaches started. it was spur of the moment, i basically thanked everyone and told them how much it meant to joe and i that they travelled all this way to share in our wedding day with us, etc, etc, then did a here's to you all toast.

We left the vases at Las Caletas as they weren't worth bringing back - we didn't get expensive ones, just from Michaels. As for the sand, our wedding coordinator tranfered it into an empty water bottle for us to take back with us. Now we're trying to find something nice to put the sand in. We do have the sand water bottle displayed though! Every time I look at it I think of our wedding. I think it's pretty cool
  9. So, Stephany has this funky green plastic camera, called a Holga, that she brought to Mexico. It's pretty crazy, it makes this weird sound when she takes the picture and she has to wind the film - apparently it's known for taking unique looking pictures. Anyway she just blogged the pictures from the green plastic camera!
  10. we did a sand ceremony. this is what our said Unity Sand Tara and Joe today you join your separate lives together. The two separate cups of sand in front of us symbolize your separate lives, separate families and separate sets of friends. They represent all that you are and all that you’ll ever be as an individual. They also represent your lives before today. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be. then he asked us to pour our sand together. we used sand from our ceremony location becuase we wanted to have sand from where we got married
  11. those are so cool! i love that dress too - almost bought it!
  12. Hey Michelle!!! Glad your wedding was great! It's weird being home and done with the wedding hu? Erica your mom is amazing with those dresses! They look great! Kinda fun watching all of us transform from about to be married, to married!
  13. Hi girls. I got some pics back from a friend and thought I'd post some LC day of pictures. A very brief progression of the day from a brides standpoint.. don't want to overload with the pictures! get on the boat and put your life jacket on! good quality girl time beautiful scenery on the way to LC write your name in the sand the bridal casita relax and take in the view get ready fernando makes the hair pretty! get married! drink and hang out! with brad and kelley too!
  14. I might be a little biased.... ok A LOT biased, but I'd go with LC. We just got married there and it was an unbelieveable experience, one that can't be duplicated anywhere else. Also, our guests really enjoyed both boat rides. Each time we had to make them get off the boat! We saw 3 weddings at Dreams the week we were there - 2 on the beach and 1 at the gazebo. The gazebo area is pretty small and right along a walkway from the elevators to the beach/pool. The gazebo looks great when it's decorated for a wedding. If you go the Dreams beach route you will have people watching. Hell, I was one of the people watching the wedding... oops! Good luck deciding!
  15. the pictures are amazing!!! you were such a beautiful bride and i never knew derek was so cute!
