  1. So glad someone bumped this up for me to see. I'll add on... I'm trying to lose about 40-50 lbs (want to lose 30-40 by the wedding), and I just recommitted to WW. I lost 10 lbs earlier this year then got sidetracked, but I'm back to it. My second (the major one) fitting is in a month so I'd like to lose as much as possible between now and then. I'm doing the WW Core plan, running 2-3x's a week, walking 1-2x's a week and doing pilates classes 2-4x's a week. This is my 3rd week. I only lost 2 lbs the first 2 weeks, but I do feel like my body is changing so we'll see.
  2. Ha, never mind, after seeing the pics (wonderful BTW), I think it's a J. Crew dress right? What about your dress Jessica, what was the fabric?
  3. Hmm, that's the problem my dress is shantung silk so I am worried and if there's the chance it will be ruined I'd rather get another dress to use. Where did you find the linen dress you used?
  4. So for those of you that have already married and TTD by taking a swim (especially interested in the ocean TTD'ers), I have a couple of questions. Did the water really ruin the dress? How long did it take for the dress to dry? How long did your TTD shoot take (in general)? Any info is much appreciated, trying to figure out if it will possible for me to do a TTD with my actual dress or if I should get a cheap TTD dress. Thanks!
  5. This is maybe closer to price and color: J.Crew > women's sale medium > dresses > Lyndsey cotton cady dress Not sure about the color, but price is good: J.Crew > women's sale medium > dresses > Whitney silk faille dress
  6. Still slightly out of the price range you have, but hopefully better: http://www.jcrew.com/images/nov299/b...812_WC4992.jpg J.Crew > women's sale medium > dresses > Leigh short Japanese silk seersucker dress Might be a little too pale too, but thought I'd throw it out there.
  7. When I went shopping for my wedding dress I ended up trying on a Watters dress that came both as a full-length gown and as a knee length dress. When I tried it on we all loved it but didn't think it was right for the wedding. My mom thought it would be perfect for the AHR though and she wanted to buy both dresses for me as a gift, so who was I to refuse.
  8. Did you guys have to notify the airline before somehow about the dress? Did any of you have another person, like say your mom, bring the dress, and if so how did that work? Thanks!
  9. Hi Martha, Not sure where you are now, or when you're moving to San Antonio, but I live in Austin and I know a guy who works at a jewelry store AND does custom stuff on the side. You might ask some places where you are or in SA about recommendations, and PM me if you want the Austin guy's contact info. Good luck!
  10. I really wanted an aquamarine engagement ring. I LOVE the one I got (it was his grandmother's and it's gorgeous), but I am totally getting aquamarines in my wedding band. I'm thinking something like this but with aquamarines instead of sapphires. Beverly K band Everyone's rings look fab!
  11. Wow, since you don't have much to lose (really anything ), why not switch to the Core plan? I'm using it and I like it a lot better. You still have to deal with points a little, but basically they give you rules for what's "free" and what you have to use points for, but of course you have to watch portions. Anyway, I like it better and so some of you guys getting less than 20 points might want to check it out.
  12. This is such a good idea. I was thinking of doing something similar on our wedding website, basically a "Rogues Gallery", but having it in print would be good too.
  13. Oh, yes the last two you posted are even close in terms of color blocking on the tops. So close....
  14. It was just 2 colors, but both colors were on each side I think (purple/green on one side of the top and green/purple on the other). Maybe the bottoms were reversible? Maybe not though. *sigh* Maybe I should just go to Just Add Water and make sure that I didn't see it there and not online. I really, really appreciate the help though. Thanks!
  15. Laura, that's not it, but it's very close. Maybe I can make my own. I've been wracking my brain since I posted this trying to at least remember the designer...I think I need to start taking ginko. I'm still looking but I'm totally going to check out these DIY bikini instructions, just in case.
  16. I know, I know. I do not know why I didn't just bookmark it. Stupid brain...
  17. Courtney: I could almost swear that I saw it on the VS site, but when I really think about it I'm pretty sure I saw it on another swimwear/dept. store site. Glenda: it seems like it was medium priced. It was cheap enough that I considered buying it but then I hesitated because of course I'm trying to lose weight and I wasn't sure about the colors. So I think it must have been in the 30-70 dollar range, but since this was at least 2 months ago I could be way off. Of the ones listed on the in site you sent the top is probably closest to this one (at least in terms of shape): La Palma - Designer bikinis and bathing suits It had color block green and purple so I think the top was divided into 4 (2 areas on each side) that alternate green and purple. Oh, and the colors were darker, a darker purple and an almost kelly green. The bottoms are a complete blank to me. Thanks guys for helping, it why I love coming to this forum!
  18. Ok, a few months ago I was looking at swimsuits and I found this cute bikini (can't remember what site OR the designer) that I wasn't sure about but that now I really want. The top was bandeau and I think it twisted in the center it had purple and green kind of color block and honestly I cannot remember the bottoms at all. I have searched and searched VS, Macy's and a bunch of the bigger swim sites and cannot find it. I know you guys are the best at finding things so any ideas on who the designer is pretty please let me know. I really want this bikini. Thanks!
  19. I'm with Kelly, my hair is super thick and not curly but wavy so it could be wild with the humidity. It's also not long enough to pull up, so I'm wondering if anyone else with shorter hair (chin to shoulder length) has found a good place for ideas? I'm acutally thinking I'll keep my hair bobbed and let it dry wavy for the wedding rather than trying to fight that.
  20. Congrats Jessica, hope the trip went smoothly and that the wedding and honeymoon are wonderful!
  21. Just a shout out since there are so few of us Island brides on here.
  22. I'm not wearing mine only because I got a more casual dress for the AHR. I actually got a Watters dress that comes in a shorter length but is still considered a wedding dress. So I've got 2 wedding dresses, such a prima donna.
  23. I'm a HP reader, I'm patiently re-reading all my books in anticipation of the new/last one coming out this summer.
