  1. I love #2 as well!! I think the greenhouse reception area would be awesome!!
  2. Ally!!!! Funny "seeing" you here This site is my second addiction... I have way too much time on my hands (or should I say, too many ways to procrastinate on what I'm supposed to be doing!).
  3. Ditto pp. I'm not having a bridal party or assigned seating, but i think it's so not cool to seperate the bridal party from their dates. Especially if the dates don't know anyone at the wedding. It's no fun for them.
  4. I don't know if I totally understand, but I use Vista print a lot. Did you double click on the image? If you do this you can drag and resize it.
  5. The cart thing is my biggest pet peeve about shopping. I swear, it's to the point where I become enraged. I have to fight the feeling to take my own cart and plow into this middle of the aisle cart. I also HATE when moms bring like 5 kids to the market and just let the kids run wild up and down the aisle's. I mean, I can sympathize if there's just no possible way for them to shop alone, but that's no excuse for letting your children run around the store like it's a playground.
  6. I have some guests that were weary of going to St. Thomas because of the crime rates... but there's a reason to be scared to travel anywhere.
  7. I don't think it was exactly in good etiquette, but I just included it with the STD's. I included a note that said we did not want, nor were expecting gifts, but that since some people had inquired, we made the info available on the STD newsletter. It's just so much easier. I always hate having to hunt down wedding registry info. I rather the bride and groom just give it to me.
  8. OMG, that dress looks gorgeous (wish I could see the bottom though). It looks really familiar....
  9. Hahaha! What a story!! Glad it's finally straightened out though... and good job containing your urge to hit him. He sounds like an ass. I would have been in jail right now for assualt if that was me!
  10. Ummm, your wedding party is HOT!!! Between you, the groom, and the weddding party, that's way too many good-looking people for one wedding I LOVE your flowers. Can't wait to see more pics.
  11. Living together has been easy for us. I've lived together with boyfriends in the past. I've never really had any issues that stemed from living together. The biggest living together issue FI and I have though is just general difference in household maintance. I'm a neat freak, he is the messiest person I've ever met and essentially drives me crazy because I always end up doing all the cleaning without any help from him. That is our main argument.
  12. Have you ever laughed so hard that milk came out your nose? Not milk, but soda... and that hurts!!! Have you ever been scuba diving? bunjee jumping? sky diving? No Tell us three things about yourself the rest of the world doesn't know: 1. I'm very artistic (I paint, draw and love creating furniture) 2. I went through a goth stage in high school (but didn't do the face paint thing!!) 3. I'm naturally thin, but I get so offended when people point it out, even if they are trying to be complimentary by comparing my body to a models... I totally would pack on about 15 pounds if I could! What is the weirdest nickname you've ever been given from anyone? No one's ever given me a nickname, thank god, I don't like nicknames! When was the last time you laughed so hard that you cried? Hmmm... can't recall!

I printed the wording on my champagne cardstock... That is exactly what mine look like. I even used the same wording (with our names of course!).
  14. Villagers at a wedding in eastern India decided the groom had arrived too drunk to get married, and so the bride married the groom's more sober brother instead, police say. "The groom was drunk and had reportedly misbehaved with guests when the bride's family and local villagers chased him away," Madho Singh, a senior police officer told Reuters after the marriage in a village in Bihar state's Arwal district. The younger brother readily agreed to take the groom's place beside the teenage bride at her family's invitation, witnesses said. "The groom apologised for his behaviour, but has been crying that word will spread and he will never get a bride again," Singh said by phone.

  16. I'm getting married in a US territory, so I don't know the logistics of getting married in non-US territory, but as long as you find someone who knows exactly what the process is, you should be fine. That's awesome that you decided to just do it all in Cabo!
  17. i agree i don't think it's rude. just remind fmil that you have a budget you need to stick to. fmil invited 2 guests to our wedding. fi and i weren't even thinking of inviting them, fmil didn't ask if she could invite them, she just did. we got into a big argument about it. it wasn't so much making room for these people that bothered me, but i don't think you can just go around inviting people to someone else's event without asking them first. now, that's what's rude. fmil offered to pay for the additional guests at least. but yeah, tell your fmil to pass on the word that this friend can only bring one guest for budget reasons. don't worry about looking bad. though i'm really wondering what this cheap and ugly gift was. i totally think that's a legit reason. but i'm a b!tch like that!!!
  18. I don't really like the bodice personally, but I do love the lightweight description! That sounds like heaven. My dress is so freaking heavy
  19. Wow... that is absolutely gorgeous and you are going to look super hot in it!! Definitely order it now. I fell in love with a Watters dress, but the fastest it could get to me was ten weeks, and at that point I only had 8 weeks left. Even though I love the dress I have now, I still secretly pine for that Watters dress. Don't be like me!!! Order it now before it's too late!! You can always get alterations to take it in right? I would say, order it in one size smaller and work your ass off to fit into it. A little motivator. But I don't know if that's good advice, because I know it's easier to take in a dress than let it out (so I've read!). Actually I think you should order it today. Do it! Do it! Do it!
  20. Oooh, I actually like that idea of trying the jergens lotion better. I actually just threw out my bottle that i got last year (there was a nasty leak!). damn, now i wish i tried to salvage it. I wasn't thinking at the time. Thanks for reminding me! I'll have to pick up another bottle and attempt that.

  22. I think your dress is so pretty. But if you really aren't feeling it, it doesn't hurt to look for something else. You can always sell the ebay dress. Alterations are an option... but depending on what you have done can get pricey unless you know someone willing to do it for you for free or cheap. I had the same issues about not wanting to spend lots of money on a dress. My original dress (now reception dress) was $80 and then I got a more traditional wedding dress on ebay after I had second thoughts for $70. I actually had fallen in love with a Watters dress, but luckily, I didn't have time left to order that for my wedding! You can try ebay again for a less poofy dress. Also places like Norstroms and JCrew have beachy dresses that are pretty inexpensive!
  23. What do you think in this new trend of making first dances into a perfomance and posting it on youtube? It never really insipred anything in me either way, but I thought this article was interesting: Money News:- Weddings' First Dance Spins Out of Control - AOL Money & Finance We're not even having dancing at our wedding, we are having other entertainment. I think the whole YouTube thing is lame. I don't understrand YouTube in general though. I mean, as a way to share videos with family and friends is one thing, but to create things with the target of being popular on YouTube is weird to me. If not done for YouTube, it looks fun, but I don't think FI would go for it!
