  1. Are you talking about the ones from Oriental? The natural colored raffia fans are constantly going out of stock, but they usually reappear pretty quickly. How many do you need?

Shes already done the hard part. You could even offer to send her a blank DVD to reburn the new one. I really hope that it works out! Out of curiosity which songs did you want on it? I was going to have "We" by the Descendents... and probably another I didn't even really pick out yet. I didn't think she was going to send the DVD with the forms to select the photos to pick out for the album and prints, so I didn't even mention the song to her yet or pick out the second song. I just sent an email to her today about it, though I know she's out of town until next Wed. So we'll see!
  3. Yeah, I guess I'll ask her about it when I email her the pictures we want for the album. I just feel bad for some reason about saying anything. I don't know why. Ugh.
  4. This isn't exactly a vent, but I had no idea where to fit it. Ok, first I have to say I LOVED my photographer, she's awesome as hell and I don't have any other complaints (cause if I did, I'd probably be livid over this issue). So my package included a DVD slide show. She recently sent me a package to pick out what pictures to include on the print ready cd and for the pro wedding album. I thought at this time, I'd also be telling her my music choices for the DVD. I've really been looking forward to this, because for my wedding I went the pretty traditional route and am normally, not the most traditional person. So the one little aspect of the wedding that we were going to have personalized to our interests was the music that went with the DVD (which were going to be a couple of punk songs). So imagine how bummed I was when I opened the package and saw the DVD. As beautifully as it was packaged my heart sank because it became apparent she picked out the music herself. I played the DVD and the music isn't horrible... but it's totally not our type of music. Actually, I don't even know what the songs are or who sings them. DVD's are priced on her a la carte rates as $500. I don't know what to do. I mean, I'd kind of feel like a jerk if I said, "uh, thanks for the dvd. I know it's normally $500 a la carte for the DVD, but can you make me another one with the music we want?" I mean, I guess I could make my own slide show in windows media... or download a program to make it. But the pro one is so pretty (in terms of the actual disc and what's printed on it), that I don't think it'd even compare. Should I say something or just let it go? I hate to be a pain.
  5. I recently was married in St. Thomas. The USVI is beautiful! Puerto Rico would also be an amazing option. I actually wanted to get married there over the USVI, but my FI's family was too scared to go there (ugh!). I didn't use a travel agent though. Good luck in your search!
  6. Do you ever watch engaged and underage on mtv? I caught the very end of one ot the episodes and there was a hardcore/metal.grindcore (who the f--- knows, I can't tell those genres apart anymore!!) couple and they were slamdancing in the middle of the street after the wedding. The bride in her dress and the wedding party in their gear. It was funny. As far as metal love songs... HIM, although slightly overrated, has a buttload of love songs. "Beautiful" and "For You" are two examples. Type 0 Negatrive - "Love you to death" children of bodom - "bed of razors" strapping young lad - "love" "F'ed with a knife" by Cannibal Corpse?!? Not a typical love song though! May not be the best for your audience though...
  7. I would skip the leis, not only just beacuse they are more Hawaii than Mexico, but I think including a lot of stuff like that in OOT bags is just a waste of money. Stick to including things people will actually use and appreciate more rather than stuff they will just toss.
  8. Have you ever heard "We" by The Descendents? I'm using that song for our wedding dvd slideshow. It's cute as hell!
  9. My Bouquet. A little crushed after the family attacked me with hugs. I actually ended up tossing it because it got REALLY stinky sitting in the water in our villa. Boo I wanted to keep them.
  10. Welcome back. Glad all was awesome! I can't wait to see those pictures.
  11. I LOVE it. When I first was looking at wedding dresses, I wanted something similar, except the top didn't have the beading, but I love that "raunched" (is that the word?!) look. I love it and you look beautiful in it. Oh and chubby smubby. You look great!
  12. Hmm. I have no idea. But they remind me of little treasure chests... I like them.
  13. For the first, open a blank document, click on: 1. file 2. page set up 3. paper size 4. select landscape option under orientation Then insert a table with 2 columns and one row. Copy the original letter and paste it into one of the tables. You will probably have to decrease the font size so it can fit on one sheet. Repeat for the second column of the table. I think that's what you mean!!!
  14. OMG. I LOVE that. I'm totally going to print a bunch of these up and give them to my friend whose engaged as part of her bridal shower gift!!!
  15. I haven't had it, but I've been thinking about it. I haven't tried waxing under my arms, and don't think I will because I can pretty much accurately guess how painful it would be (my hair is really coarse). And I don't want to endure that pain and sticky waxing process if it's eventually going to grow back. My only concern is the price. But I guess in the long run, it's worth it.

That's ok, because that's exactly what I was going to say! I almost wish that the constipation thing was true (well not totally, but you know).
  17. I LOVE those little suits. I saw some in the kids dept at Macy's, I almost cried, they are so cute (damn horomones). That is going to be so freaking adorable!
  18. Yeah, definitely post! I started out with a more "untraditional" type of dress, but ended up buying a more traditonal one at last minute. There's just way too many hot dresses out there. Good luck on finding the perfect one for you! PS. I don't remember if I asked before, but is Rayden going to be in the wedding? Is he going to be wearing a little suit?!
  19. Well, I think we kinda have the same basic style, so I love it all! Those are your wedding shoes?! That's fun! Especially with the "Death of Love" on them. Do you have your dress yet? I'm dying to see that!!!
  20. I love them. They came out really nice. Good idea adding ribbon around the bottom. Definitely makes them more attractive.
  21. Ahhh, you look so gorgeous it's almost not fair! I love that last picture.
  22. "*If you receive an invitation, even if you can't attend the wedding, it is expected you will send a gift." This sounds exactly like my friend who is getting married in December, in fact, the whole list does! She is totally the same way, practically demanding gifts from everyone she knows. May I add she bought me a set of 4 napkins (on sale for $1.50 each) for my wedding gift. I know it's the thought that counts, but this is kind of unfair when she pretty much told me she's expecting a $350 bed comforter from me. Some people are just absolutely disgusting when it comes to gift greediness.
