  1. Awesome! Congratulations on the job, I am sure it will provide many interesting days!
  2. Were you studying Drama Therapy? I know someone on here was and I thought it was you. I think we talked briefly because I was also going to school to become a therapist (I've since graduated and have been working as a therapist with adolescents since August). Did you get a job in the field?
  3. I was going to ditto Alyssa's rec of the store in New Hope. It's called Suzie Hot Sauce (at least the one I'm thinking off!).
  4. Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port Get Real About Plastic Surgery - OK! Magazine - The First for Celebrity News
  5. i just remembered that a few days ago i read an interview with lauren and whitney about the plastic surgery that the girls on the hills have had. it mentioned audrina and heidi's boob job and i think a nose job for steph. so maybe thats also why she looks different.
  6. I just caught up with this thread. I'm not too sad to hear about Mia leaving. Ever since she was such a major bee-yotch to Brandon (did I get his name right?) last year I've been done with her. Oh, and for the record, I was totally drooling over the blue-eyed headband wearing B-Boy with ear plugs. Yummy. Then again I am really attracted to that dirty boy look. I have issues.
  7. So how is Stacie the bartender Kristen's bff all of a sudden. I mean, I haven't lived in Cali for a long time, but either the area is a very small world or 90% of the friendships on this show are staged which I sort of already knew but it's still annoying. Is it me or was the scene with Brody's bday party weird? I mean last season we would have seen Lauren there and no mention of Kristen. This year all of a sudden Lauren who's supposedly super close to Brody is no where to be found and Kristen is there. I wonder if Lauren was lurking behind the cameras somewhere or if without the show Lauren and Brody really don't keep in touch anymore? Another thing I think is hysterical is Spencers complete over reaction to Heidi babysitting Enzo (little boy from next door). At least he's got one thing right... he should NOT reproduce.
  8. I just watched this week's episode tonight. I agree, the way Jen talks is seriously annoying. I hate the way her mouth moves... it drives me nuts for some reason. I just want Naomi to find out what a skunt she is and for her to leave the show. And I totally don't understand why she slept with Liam... I mean I guess I could understand if she slept with him and then one day let it be known to Naomi but that doesn't seem to be her plan. I guess she just wanted to cause Naomi pain by ruining her friendship and relationship? And yeah, the whole thing with Adrianna being wishy washy sucks and Annie is getting more annoying by the minute. I hate her the way people used to hate Brenda.
  9. I'm sorry you are dealing with so much drama. What is wedding planning without some drama! Seems the two go hand in hand. I can't believe your FBIL and the whole preaching thing. Crazy! I hope everyone calms down and comes around. I personally would be jumping up and down if I got invited to a DW. Of course I look for any opportunity to travel! Good luck with planning your wedding, I'm sure it will be beautiful whatever you and your FI decide to do.
  10. Yay for funnel cake! I took a quick glance at your blog this morning. Yummy. I'm coming to your house for dinner!
  11. Oh yeah, I am finally participating this month.
  12. Aww. So sad I'm glad you guys found her and can at least try and take care of her. Did you contact local rescue groups that may be able to offer advice? Take a look on craigslist and other local resources to see if any has a missing dog post. I would look back a couple of weeks at least. Could she possibly have a microchip? Maybe your vet can find that out somehow...

  14. We have pet insurance and it's $400 a year. For us it was worth it, especially when our pets are new because our insurance completely covers check ups, shots, neutering/spaying, and all those initial visits. Now that our dogs have been through all the initial stuff we are going to let the insurance finish off the rest of the year and not renew because we won't need it as much. We didn't have any co-pays except for meds. But for us it was worth it because it saved us money on getting the major stuff out of the way and for less than it would have cost us without insurance.
  15. YES! I love Halloween. I found an awesome vintage dress on Ebay that inspired my costume. I am doing a witch theme with the house and after I found this I decided to be a witch fairy VINTAGE 80s Gothic LACE Fairy COCKTAIL Witch DRESS S - eBay (item 230382246857 end time Oct-04-09 16:17:59 PDT) I'm going to a local costume ball on Saturday so I'm dessing up then and then on the 31st.
  16. I forgot Zooey Deschanel. I love her. She is brilliant.
  17. That is so scary! I'm glad you are ok. I've definitely found myself in that situation more than once. If anyone ever finds themself in this situation, I would also reccommend instead of actually going to your car where he can see what you drive, your license plate and essentially corner you if you are in secluded spot, to head back into the mall/store rather than your car and find mall security ASAP. If someone is following you, never allow them to see any identifying information about you.
  18. I love, love, LOVE Claire Danes, Natalie Portman and Kate Beckinsale (she's gorgeous, I want to look like her).
  19. Dermablend is pretty good. But why do you want to cover them up?
  20. Whoa! That's crazy! I wonder if they'll include that in the updates at the end of the season. Am I the only one that keeps finding herself singing "Don't be tardy for the party!"
  21. All my past jobs have been super casual as well. My current job as a therapist requires a more business attire. I've actually found a lot of cute pieces at JCPenny. I was a bit surprised because I'm not a fan of the store, and just happened to go in there one day and found a lot of great things for not much money. Marshalls, Ross and TJ Maxx also have some great stuff. I honestly don't by many clothes online unless it's to re-purchase something I've gotten from a store.
  22. Oh, I know. I had a lot of people who said they were coming that didn't come. I even had a couple of people who RSVP'ed and didn't show up. I think people mean well and do truely want to come, but as the date draws closer and they realize they might not be able to afford it they just kind of avoid the situation because they feel bad. I know it's hard not to stress about and it's easier for me to say not to stress because my wedding is over and done with. But it all comes together in the end. I would say, figure out when you need to have a definite number by for seating, reception, etc. If you need to have a definite number by let's say a month before your wedding, then maybe like a month and a half before then I would just put the word out that you need a final head count for food because you don't want anyone attending not to have a plate (if you are doing a reception). That usually helps to motivate people because no one wants to be the loser without any food
  23. I wouldn't be concerned just yet. 7 months is still pretty far out. I had very last minute bookers. My dad, aunt and cousin literally booked the week before (I almost had a heart attack). I encouraged everyone to book early, but like you I didn't feel a need to hand hold people, however I did need an idea of who was actually coming for my own reasons (reception, favors, etc). So I did periodically ask around to see who was still coming, etc. My wedding was in May, my RSVP deadline was in March and I sent the invites out late Jan. I did that to give people a kick in the butt to book. However half the people that came didn't RSVP. You just can't win!
  24. Oh, I totally love Ashlee Simpson... I even have her cd's. Shhh! And I love Jessica Simpson. I'm excited to have Jane back. I liked her. I'm curious to see how Heather Locklear comes in. The whole thing with David connecting to Michael's computer and seeing those files on Jane, Allison, Amanda, etc was kind of weird. I wonder what that's about and what's in those files. Remember when Michael was just a regular guy... then he turned into a total creepster.
  25. Who was Taylor? Damn it, I need to watch the last few seasons of the original Melrose. I feel so lost.
