I've personally never bought anything from there, but I know someone that has. It's not bad. Do you know those little carts in the mall that sell silver jewlery? (Well, at least the malls around here have them!). It's that same basic quality.

Love the colors! I als LOVE decorating. The only reason I'm not currently obsessed with decorating (and I usually am) is not because I'm pregnant, but because I don't want to invest anymore work into our current apartment. I'm saving it all for when we get our house next year!

I don't think soy milk tastes similiar to cow's milk at all, but I can't stand the taste of cow milk. I only drink soy because I can't stomach the taste of "regular" milk. I think it's delicious! You can also get premixed chocolate flavor. I've never tried making it myself though (plain soymilk I mean) but it sounds yummy.

We saw each other. Actually we went to our wedding site together. We stayed at a private villa and I didn't have a wedding party. We went out to lunch with friends. Ditto what everyone else said about if you loved the dress before your sis said anything, stick with it, if you were having doubts, then look around. Everyone has different taste, if your sis doesn't like it, doesn't mean it's a bad looking dress. Plus, she just saw pics of the dress online not on you right? She might have a totally different opinion if she sees you in it.

I had two bikini waxes before the wedding. Even with Advil... OUCH! I did like the results, but it's probably not sometihng I'm going to do again any time soon. I'd like to do laser treatments though. I had no idea it hurt!

I didn't do coolers but I know of someone who did and didn't put their names on it, just a very generic tropical type picture and the name of the location (island). I thought it was a super cute idea and if i got someting like that, I would totally save and reuse it in the future.

I'm not sure what shape/size you are looking for, but I used Literature Mailers - Uline for mailer boxes. I didn't do boxed invites though, i used them because I sent out everyone a small package a couple of weeks before the wedding instead of doing oot bags.

Aww, I'm sorry your famly is giving you such a hard time! That's awful. But as other people said, just basically try to let their comments roll off your back. Say you understand if they can't make it. The end. Don't stress out about it, don't try to convince them they can come, don't pay attention to their "helpful" location suggestions. I'm lucky in that I really didn't get much resistance from my DW. Family and friends who couldn't make it due to financial reasons basically told me "which we could be there, but we just don't have the funds right now" which was totally cool with me. Everyone that came to our wedding was really excited about the oppotunity and excuse to travel. So I really lucked out there. Also my family is spread out between the east and west coast anyway, so I think travel was expected to occur for the most part. But yeah, I know it's easier to say, but don't let them get to you. I think people just like to find stuff to bitch about. At the end of the day, you'll be married exactly where you wanted and that's all that will really matter. Trust me, in the long run, everything else is just bullsh!t.

I know your FI is just concerned, but you can have a beautiful DW if you just think smart when planning. I chose May because it was not during the hurricane season. Truth is, anything can go wrong anywhere at anytime. If you really have your heart set on a DW, then do it! Is Jamaica less expensive than St. Thomas?! I found St. Thomas to be insanely inexpensive which is why I picked that location. Althought I do vaguely remember the flights out of HGA being more expensive than they were for me coming from NJ.
