  3. I voted for the superhero theme because it's different, fun and off the wall. unfortunately only 3 other people agree with me Booooooo!
  4. My aunt, my cousin and his girlfriend did this to me like 2 weeks before the wedding. I wanted to KILL them!!! Jerks. I sent out OOT bags prior so they just didn't get one and luckily I had extra favors, but seriously, it's just such a crappy thing to do. They also never sent their RSVP cards back with either a yes, no... not even a "maybe" heads up. Actually I didn't even know they were coming until my dad casually mentioned something about their flight to me (he thought they told me). I don't know WTF is wrong with people!!
  5. yeah, i didn't LOVE the ny one, but i still watched it every week.
  6. First, what a smart little girl for even going after a divorce. I think at 8 years old I would have felt stuck and not even thought of divorce. Second, 28 years old. 28?!?! I just threw up in my mouth.
  7. Moorestown was my first thought from south jersey and short hills was my first thought for north jersey!!! Ack. I have an ex from Short Hills, god, I felt so out of place hanging out in that town!
  8. i check out this site all the time. when we moved it was the one of the first things i looked up.
  9. Apparently! Maybe they will show the housewives going to the mall and taking dirty Jersey vacations down the shore. LOL, we do have an insane amount of McMansions in Jersey though. It's kinda sick.
  10. I just read that they are doing a Real Housewives of NJ. NEW JERSEY!?!?! Geez, seriously? I can't wait to see what kind of crap this is going to be. I'm dying to know what part of Jersey they are focusing on. I just complained to Brian that he needs to make more f'ing money so I can be on this show. Bravo's press notes describe the series as follows: "The newest edition to Bravo's successful 'Real Housewives' franchise brings big homes, big hair, new money and drama. Shot through Bravo's pop culture filter, welcome to New Jersey, home to five of the Garden State's most affluent ladies and the families they run. These best friends do everything over-the-top, from their decorating, to their dating and their fighting. 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' showcases the McMansions and lavish lifestyles of these women and all the drama that money can buy." The brief clip reel shown to reporters featured two of the five housewives: Danielle, a 45-year-old divorcee who boasts of having been engaged 19 times and having kissed Mick Jagger (he wasn't as great as she was expecting, given the whole lips thing); and Dina, 38 and recently remarried, who gives us a guided tour of the very expensive, very overdone (unless onyx is your bag) decor of her home.

  12. aww, that's cute. i thought of starting one, but i wouldnt be good at keeping up with it. half the time i forget to update my blog... that's enough work for me!
  13. I don't know what to say except that I'm very sorry to hear this! Your family will be in my thoughts.
  14. Abby - they look like fun kids!! and even if you did give birth to them you'd still want to strangle them sometimes! Calia - she is such a little cutie! i love that she calls you prince and princess. how adorable. Mo - i love those freckles!!! i want to pinch her cheeks... which at her age, i'm sure she'd really hate!

  16. I agree with Ann. I don't think ultimatiums shoud be given. I hate, hate, hate that with a passion. That's such a deal breaker for me. I'm best friends with an ex who was my first love. There was a period when Brian felt uncomfortable with it, but if he ever said "it's him or me" Brian would have been gone. But instead he expressed his concern about my relationship with my ex and we talked through it. That's just my opinion though. It is FI's responsibility to set boundaries. I don't think you should tell him who and who he is not allowed to be friends with. You can tell him what you are uncomfortable with and if he chooses to do something that you are not cool with you need to re-evaluate your relationship from there. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm sure she is doing things that you have a valid reason to be upset about but it's really not her that's the issue, it's your FI and his desire to be friends with her that is really causing the problem.

Not for nothing, but I would think that being able to read would be a basic requirement to be a foster parent. Not that not being able to read makes one a bad person, but jeez. Come on.
  18. That was fantastical! "Hurt in his growing part" Classic. I'm going to use that.
  19. Nice!! I want to change my name but Jessica is already taken Boooooo!
  20. I watch way too many lifetime movies, so I admit, the thought of this happening crossed my mind. I told Brian he better remember distinctive stuff about the baby before they took him away (from me to get cleaned in the nursery). But like Sarah said my hospital was craz with identification. Aiden had the wrist and ankle band. I had a band, brian had a band. everytime aiden came and left me the nurses would check the bands against each other. when aiden's ankle band came off the nurse came back with TWO ankle bands and put them both on him! Initially I was a little like "Jeez, this is annoying, I just want to hold him and they are taking all this time to read the f'ing numbers off the bands" but in the end a small sacrafice for make for peace of mind.

Total for dropping them off Saturday morning, doing one double play, one all day play times two dogs (with a % off for the second dog) is was about $150. Thanks for the info. That is waaaaaay cheaper than I was expecting! I looked at one fancy doggie hotel once and it was like $80 a night. Spa treatment and all this stuff. I was like WTF, my dog is not getting a better vacation than me!
  22. awwww, cute!!! thanks for the info on the petsmart pethotel. we're going to need to do that when we take our vacation this summer and i wasn't sure where to put our pup. i know they say the prices depend on location, but would you mind sharing what you paid? i'm just curious about a ballpark figure for this type of thing.
