  1. I can't believe I'm so behind on this thread!!! That's fantastic news that Gwen is with you and Paul, where she belongs. Yay!!!! I hope you guys have a wonderful trip home.
  2. I am not really into drama based romantic movies, though I did love The Notebook! Hmmm, other than that I really can't think of any other movies that would fall under this. I'm more of a horror movie type of chick. I saw Catch and Release recently. I enjoyed that...
  3. I don't see anything wrong with that email at all. Sorry! They were nice and just wanted to explain their reasons for looking at other places. Unless there's a reason you want everyone to stay at one resort, I don't see the big deal...
  4. Congrats on the job Jenny! That's great news.
  5. Oh, definitely let me know how they work out Alyssa. I might just go to Target and pick some up myself. Every since March (when I hit the big 3-0) I've been a little nutso about trying to "maintain" my skin and avoid wrinkles and firm things up. I'm striving to be one of those hot 40 year olds in about 10 years.
  6. I've been reading various articles about this all day. I think it's awesome!!
  7. We actually started trying and got pregnant before the wedding (I was about 4 weeks pregnant at my wedding). We didn't tell anyone we were trying and didn't tell anyone I was pregnant until I was 12 weeks along. I swear as soon as we got engaged we had questions about when we were having a baby. And they continued even more frequently after we got married. Even though I was already pregnant, I found it all sort of annoying. What if we didn't want kids? Or what if we actually ::gasp:: wanted to enjoy our time as husband and wife before having kids? I think putting so much emphasis on TTC and having this set idea of when you want to start having kids turns the whole babymaking process into a chore. People need to have fun at least the first year. Don't go in to it with charts and graphs and expectations right away.
  8. No. Brian has his own internet addictions so he doesn't care.
  9. That's such a pretty shade of blue. Love it!
  10. That is hysterical. I can only imagine the person who wrote the subtitles wasn't a native English speaker. Or was drunk. Or was playing a joke.
  11. I love garden weddings! Everything looks lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Brian loves places like that. My FIL loves Cheeburger Cheeburger. We still have yet to try that though. I'm not a big meateater. But again Brian would probably love that. (PS Be sure to tell us if you liked The Happening. I so want to see that!)

  14. That would be soooo awesome if you got on!
  15. Hahaha!! I love the title of this thread... and then opening it and to see what it was you agreed to. I hiked some of the trail in my early 20's. The PA area. I love hiking and outdoorsy things, so I was totally into it. Although I'm essentially a tomboy, I can be a little bit of a girly girl when it comes to cleanliness. You know how some people need morning coffee to avoid being a raging bitch the whole day? Well I need my morning shower. So that was definitely a challenge, but it is soooo worth it!

I would totally let a decorating show makeover my house. Considering I've been lazy about doing any decorating since I had Aiden.
  18. I hope everything is ok with you Betsey!
  19. Ok, last week I was in Aiden's room (which faces out the front yard) and I happened to glance out the window and saw this lady who was walking by taking a couple of pictures of our house. Ooooook. I thought it was weird, but didn't give it much thought. Our front yard is by no means exciting since we haven't worked on it since moving in. Our yard faces the woods so there are always bunnies and other assorted animals running around, so I figured maybe there was a bunny in the front and she was taking a picture of it. However today Brian, I and the baby were in the car in our driveway about to leave for the zoo. I look at my rear view window to backup out of the driveway and see this car roll up, a lady leans out and snaps a few pictures of my house and then SPEEDS off. Like seriously, tires squealing, hauling ass. Of course Brian, being a typical guy, is totally oblivious and didn't catch any of this. I think it may have been the same lady. They were both blond, but I can't be sure. Strange! I wonder who the hell she is and why she is taking pictures of my house. Brian threw out ideas like real estate agent, appraiser, etc. He also applied for the Philly police dept so we theorized some weird background check person. But I don't know. If I see her again, I'm going to start getting paranoid that someone is stalking me. Any ideas of why someone would be taking pictures of the house?!
  20. Are you ok with doing a church wedding before the DW? I've been to a REALLY small church ceremony. I think there were only about 8 guests max, so I'm assuming it would be ok. I love my MIL too, but like yours once she gets an idea, she can be a bit pushy with it. I think though that if your MIL wants a priest so much, she should at least offer to pay for the costs... LOL, if she's doing her own research I hope one day she doesn't randomly book a priest for you!
  21. I recieved my package yesterday! Stephanie (Lucy106) was so cute and decorated the box with cute stickers and included a nice card. Adorable. Anyway she gave me this beautiful bowl. I already lost the little info card she included with it, but I believe it's handmade pottery. Very nice and the colors fit in great with my living room. She also included some rocks and a candle for accessories for decoration. I love it! Oh, and yeah, when I got the package I totally felt guilty because I haven't even started looking for my gift yet. Gotta get on that!
  22. Hello from a former St Thomas bride. That so awesome his parents live there. Must help A LOT!
