Philly area get-together - Saturday, September 20th
Jessica replied to Jenn's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
1. Jenn 2. lauren 3. Jessica Also, question... I'm not a 100% sure I'll be able to make it (my schedule is already kicking my butt), but does anyone have any objections to me bringing Aiden along if I do come? I won't be offended if anyone says they would prefer no babies, but I'll need to make arrangements for him in advance. Thanks -
I was bummed about Stella! You can buy the dress through DVF's website DIANE von FURSTENBERG

Anyone using the new web browser - Google Chrome?
Jessica replied to ~Melissa~'s topic in Random Thoughts
I literally just saw that on google. I don't think I like it. I remember someone mentioning either Chrome or something that was similiar a couple of months ago. IDK. I don't think I'm going to make the switch until I'm forced to. -

Haha. Yeah, I'm watching it now. Sorry. I won't say any more for you West Coast peeps. It's just funny because the child characters from the old 90210 have merged over. I wonder if Steve and Janet's daughter is on here too? Anyway, even better, there's an actress named Jessica Lowndes on here.... which would be my name if I took Brian's last name legally. Crazy. I'm going to start telling people I'm on the show.

craaaaaaaaaaap. I forgot about BB. I need to make sure I'm recording it on DVR.

I was just going to post Christine!!! Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez?! Is that supposed to be Andrea and Jesse's daughter?! And then that teacher said "What is she like, 30?" A little ref to the fact that gabrielle was 30 when she started the Andrea character. And Erin Silver!! OMG.

I don't blame you for being upset! My friend's husband talks to her the same way. I swear, my jaw hits the ground when he talks to her. I'm not even quite sure what you can do since you have talked to him. Everytime he speaks to you this way just keep re-stating the fact that you don't appreciate it when he talks to you like that and you are his wife, not a child.

Oh, was she on Gilmore Girls? Maybe that's why she seems familiar. Who was she on Gilmore Girls... wait... was she Rory's dad's wife or something?
-
I also love Serena's hair and dress! She did look like a Greek goddess. If I wasn't already married, I'd probably totally try to copy that for my DW. This older woman Nate is having an affair with... do we know her from previous episodes or is she a new character. I was semi-lost. Like I feel I should know who she is or something.

Does your school not offer insurance? I waiver the fees my school charges for insurance because I'm under Brian's now, but when I was in undergrad, I got insurance through my school rather than work because it was cheaper. I mean, it's not the BEST insurance ever, but it's helpful. It was only like $250/semester.

You and K are going to be the hottest married couple EVER!!! Your wedding is going to be perfect and beautiful. I can't wait to see those pictures. Enjoy yourselves!

Ok, this is the last question, I swear!!! I was going to sign up, but I noticed there is some sort of referral program where you can earn free weeks if 3 people sign up. From what I read you can earn referrals during your trial (they apparently just hold them over until both you and the referral graduate from trial to full member). Anyway, do you have a referral link Nicole? I couldn't tell if the link in your original posting was one or not (I don't think it is?). If you want to include your referral link I'll use that for when I sign up this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll go beyond the trial period (depends on how much I end up saving), but if I do, you might as well get the credit! **Sorry, I'm very longwinded tonight***

I'm pretty much a self-professed b!tch and I will apologize to Brian afterwards, but it is super stressful to raise a child and be with them allllllll day long. I can barely handle Aiden. I think I would curl up in a corner and cry if I had 8 kids all within the same age range. I also was a teacher and did ABA therapy with children for the past 6 years. The children I worked with are Autistic and highly behavioral so I thought dealing with Aiden would be a breeze. While my experience did help, there's a big difference between an 8 hour day and a 24/7 commitment. People snap, people get mad, people fight, people aren't calm and collected all the time. Raising a child is the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life. If they filmed my life and put it on tv, I can only imagine how I'd come off.... I know it wouldn't be pretty. Of course they are going to focus on showing the "tougher" side of raising the kids and show all the "bad" moments. I can say I wouldn't turn down a free trip if I was offered one, or two, or three! I'm all about free stuff. Plus it's not like the places that give the free stuff don't benefit. They aren't just doing it out of the goodness of their heart. They get publicity for it too!

It definitly is worth it though, I went grocery shopping for actually useable everyday groceries the other day and my total came to $160 and after coupons it was $35! I have the recipt to prove it! Wow!! That's awesome!!! Is there a certain time period the lists are good for? Like say I sign up and make a list today, do I have to use it within a certain amoung to days to actually get those prices? Or does it depend on the store sales? Also, does it just list all the current sales in the store, or do you have to make a list like "bread, milk, chicken, etc" and then it gives you the list of sales based on what you are looking for. I think I'm going to try this out!

That picture is so cute!

I must have missed this thread the first time around. I read about this site in a magazine and I was curious about it but forgot to look into it. That's awesome that you saved $40!! I might try and do this. I know you said a trial month is $1. Any idea of what it is after that? (I guess I should just look at the site, huh?!)

Well I guess America agrees about M's fashion. "Red-headed Cabbage Patch Kid" - HAHAHA!!! I'm also happy with the evictions. FINALLY!

Who wants to complain about the economy with me?
Jessica replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Just venting or funnies
We have a baby, two cars (although I personally only buy used cars and pay them off in full so I don't have to make payments. Gas, although it's gotten better, is still a bit of a pain though), a mortgage, over $150,000 in student loans, credit card debt, all the usual monthly bills, a dog... you get the point. Anyway, "making it work" is something we are attempting to do but it's not working out so well! It's especially a tense subject with us (finances I mean) because I haven't worked since I had Aiden and am going back to school next week plus doing an internship (ie. working for free) so that's 9 more months of me not working. As far as the how do we manage with a baby question, it's not that hard because I don't believe in excessive material items anyway so I've been able to save a lot of money on unnecessary items, or figure out cheaper alternatives. Plus he's so young I don't think he requires a lot of the stuff older children may. Hopefully by then the economy won't suck so much or I might be in trouble. Basically the only reason we are surviving is that Brian busts his ass working about 60+ hours/week and I have a nice collection of stuff that I'm able to sell on ebay when we need some extra $$. -
I love Gossip Girl. I'm going to watch the new 90210, but my expectations are really low.

Gross. The one of them kissing and Heidi is squished in the grocery cart? EW! I hate these two! Thye are always doing these staged photoshoots. It's weird. I remember an Easter one, and Thanksgiving one and some other one.. where they were with Heidi's mom. They are really something else. And I agree, WTF is up with the melons and oranges. Good lord. -
OMG. I totally forgot about that site. Damn! I try and scroll past the spoilers real fast on there. I love it though. I also hope Michelle goes. She's always flipping out in the confessional thinking she's in the midst of some conspiracy theory against her. Yes, Michelle, Big Brother is set up specifically to make your life hell. She's so obnoxious. I just wonder if Dan makes it to the end, how many people will actually vote his way after all this?
